  1. Dang it, I had my hopes up but this dashed them (probably for the best). The scent sounds wonderful for me but I'd better stay away from rage-inducing stuff at work! Might have to beg Mara for an un-phero'ed version of this!
  2. I am totally thinking of Jack Nicholson in that movie "The Witches of Eastwick"...

    Lava Rain

I'm with Beccah: this is sweet tobacco. I was trying to decide which of my freebie samples to make into my next hair mist and this won the lottery. I wanted a summery theme, but didn't want the usual coconut or fruity stuff. So this seemed kind of a Pele / Hawaiian / perfect for summer idea. And I was right, it's great for an unexpected end-of-summer scent.
  4. Maybe that's a more jungle-appropriate iguana. LOL

    Garden of Mystery

Believe it or not I just this week finished off that hair mist I mentioned above having made almost a year ago. But I had put a germicide in it then and I've kept it in the fridge (which is the biggest reason I kept forgetting to use it!) I have returned to sing this one's praises as an early Autumn scent, since we are coming up on that time. The grapey wine of this would be perfect as a segue from Summer to Fall. I know I've used it up during hot-as-blue-blazes Summer, but that was just because I wanted to use up the ingredients in the mister to make a new one, and it was too wonderful to just dump this down the drain (shudder...). I will probably make up a different Autumn scent when that time comes, but mostly just to have something different after using this for awhile (and because I don't have any more of this in the tiny trial sizes, and that was the perfect amount for my 3 oz mister). So don't ignore this one in late August/September when you start rooting around in your stash for an Autumnish scent.
  6. Could it be this weekend?????

    Lap of Luxury

This might make me try this. I was avoiding it because I'm not much of a floral person but what you described sounds right up my alley. I have 'Swimming With Sharks' in 'The Shark Whisperer', and I absolutely loved the classy scents it was paired with in 'Mercuralia' and 'Oleander the Great'.
  8. This and DHEAS don't really seem different from the perkiness people are getting from alpha-androstenol and 'Lace'. Is there anything really unique about these that's different than what we already had?
  9. I've used Leather the last couple of days, but the bottom feeder in my sites is avoiding me. I've probably chewed her out so many times here lately her ass is too sore to come around.
  10. Oh, how I wish it was! Eh, then again, it's just too hot right now to be into Autumn type scents. Though I did buy a red plaid messenger bag; very back-to-schoolish!
  11. goddesslynne, you actually hit on something I was thinking: mixing SWS and Dominance. I don't want the est in 'Leather'. I'm batting this around in my head mostly about work but I'm probably handling that as well as it could be even with phero influence. ETA: I just realized my current avatar (Flying bitchslap - when a normal one just won't cut it) gives a strong indication of my mood at work lately! LOL!
  12. What phero gives an aura of authority and repect, not overtly feminine but not masculine either, commanding authority but not intimidating? Is 'Dominance' geared more toward sexy (which I absolutely don't want)? I like some of the description with 'MVP' but that being a man's phero it is probably going to give off the wrong signature for me. I really wish 'Intellectual Woman' was still around. If 'Warrior Heart' were not sold out what phero would you layer under it? What would Wonder Woman wear?
  13. Who's in for an LP sniffing party at Alohahni43's house?
  14. Maybe you could try "Goddess of the Blue Moon" with La Femme Mystere: BLUE LOTUS ~ No man can refuse the woman who wears this; lovers reunited, protection. Symbolizes intellect, mental energies and illumination. Inspiration, clarity, purification. MUSK ~ Self confidence and strength, sexual attractant, heightens passions and arousal. AMBER ~ Fertility, creativity, love, luck, riches. BAMBOO ~ Fertility, wisdom, feminine energy. Protection, hex breaking, luck and wishes. WHITE WILLOW ~ Feminine energy, inspiration, fertility. MOSSES ~ Luck enhancing, financial success, protection, charity. Parental love.
  15. There's not much I can add to the excellent advice you've already gotten. Maybe one thing you can do at this point is try being the best person you can be, and if he can't love that then try to live the best life without him that you can. There's nothing to be done about the past, but you can take lessons from it to be better now. Be as kind, forgiving, loving, patient, and happy as you can; basically be the kind of person that you yourself would want to date. On the outside, get a bit of a makeover that gives you a hot new look and presence. Then if he wants space to think about things, he will look back at you and see this hot new babe who has her act together, and he may be intrigued enough to try again to see if all the old crap has really been fixed. If both people are open-minded enough, it really can be good enough this time that all the old garbage is forgotten. You know how time heals all wounds, but you've got to stop those wounds reopening in the meantime.
  16. I haven't read this whole thread (don't have time right now; will come back later) but since astrology was brought up near the beginning I though I'd mention this: alabe.com An astrologer once told me you can get a pretty good reading there. I put in my stats and yes, I thought a ton of what I got back was very applicable to me. So you could try putting in both your birth dates/times/places and see if the commentary you get back is helpful any.

    Cheeky!

What does that "Dark earthly powers" at the end of the walnut description mean? And, oh my stars, I'm craving hot apple pie with gobs of vanilla ice cream and loads of caramel slathered on top now!
  18. I'm thinking about this for an energy lift. I need to physically perk up but I don't want mental spaciness. Hmmmmm...
  19. I think I have actually blended this as a Sun oil for magical purposes. Love your surfing Jesus idea! And yes, it does smell wonderful. I always have a wish list a mile long but these are at the top right now: Rapturous Reverie The Emperor The Magician Robert's Attacked in the Stacks Verhext

    Top Five

    1. Lucky in Love #7 2. Bayou Musk 3. Ashes to Dust 4. All Hallow's Eve 5. Christine's Sin City (been wearing this during bellydance [teaching & performing])
  21. While I didn't get quite the reaction Aeaea got, I did get a couple of compliments on this when I wore it this past week. I was about to spring for a bottle of an Irish cologne called Inis: Energy of the Sea but I'm going for a full bottle of this instead.
  22. How about layering it with something so it works for us girls?
  23. Well, apparently you were very successful!

    The Sand Box

How close to the now-extinct 'Sugared Magi' is this? Seems like I read (probably in the original new releases announcements thread for these) that this was similar?
