  1. This is such a holiday blend IMO. It really reminds me of something familiar and festive but I can't remember right now. Its like a warm, spicy, fruity holiday punch.

    Ishtar's Star

When I saw the notes and description for this, I didn't think I would like it too much. It seemed like it would be overly heavy/perfumey/spicy. To my surprise it's actually quite a light scent. Green-y, but not like your typical green fragrances, as the green tapers down, it's just this exotic perfume. It's quite nice. I think the lightness of the scent is why I like it.

    Cocamama

When I first applied this, I was just floored, it's a gorgeous green scent. But settling more into my skin it's almost getting a bit too lush for me. I think I like lighter/bright/translucent green scents, and this is a very rich, lush green.Very pretty. But not really for me.

    Pandamaniac

I got a sample of this - it's a very pretty soft green scent. It goes on a bit sharply green, bit within a half hour the green dies down a lot and it's a very "girly" old fashioned powdery green perfume to me.

    Snow Musk

Very pretty! It's a very light mint on me (minty Temperance?), I think it's the musks that come out? Still, not heavy at all, just a very whisper soft sort of scent. I've slathered and it's not overwhelming at all. Usually I use too little fragrance because I don't like smelling too strongly, but I don't think that's even possible with this - my skin doesn't amp *anything* in this. lol. Why do I like the scents that barely show up on me so much?
  6. I just re-tried this. I slathered this time, I think maybe used up a quarter of the trial vial? I get hit first with chocolate, then a few minutes later I detect the faintest hints of mint, but that doesn't really last. Now it's been a couple of hours and it's a nice hot cocoa scent on me. This seems to be one of those fragrances my skin doesn't amp up though since I used so much but the scent isn't very strong at all... I don't think anyone actually noticed I was wearing it! I have to put my nose right up to my arm to detect it.
  7. ooh, sounds up my alley. I am very fond of light, crisp greeny, watery scents. However, thanks to all of you on here, I've been converted into liking some foody stuff too. (I'm currently liking Garland & Lace and pumpkin-y scents that aren't overly sweet) And no I've never tried the LP variant sampler, so I was wondering to get the winter '11 or go sampler. lol. I'm curious about Lucky in Love #7 and LP Silver the most, but I keep hearing raves about the orig LP and Red so my curiosity is piqued.
  8. I got a free sniffie of this in my last order and it's very very pretty. I think I was curious about the LP's before, but never actually ordered any (except #9)... and this makes me more curious about how all these LP's are supposed to be based on the same ingredients with variations. I like how this is very light, and yes greeny without being your typical sweet green-y scent.
  9. Okay I'm a little conflicted - I got a sniffie of the LP Winter Variant '11 and really like it, almost to the point where I'm tempted to get a bottle, however I'm curious to try out the other varieties of the LP's.... I can only fit one into my budget. opinions?
  10. ooohhhhh. I like this a lot. I'm starting to think I like most watery scents. It's beautiful. I think it's a unisex blend right? Because it's not a light watery, but a deeper watery scent. Though still gives me the impression of a watery fresh scent. It just feels nice and clean-out-of shower. edit: about 2 hours later... DAMN it turned a weird soapy scent on me.
  11. I tried this out last night. When I first put it on, the scent was too strong and overly sweet/fruity on me. After about a half hour though it settled into a very nice fruity scent. I agree with those who say this is sort of a sophisticated blend. It's weird, I normally associate fruity scents as being fun and lighthearted, but this seemed like one you'd wear to a nice dinner. Unfortunately the scent isn't really "me", but it is very nice nonetheless.
  12. Whoo! Not for me. When I first applied this it was immediately far too sharply sweet and in your face... this died down (I wonder if it's the initial blast of honey that got me), and mellowed, but still too spicy/sweet/too much.
  13. Ah thank you NuTrix! A lot of these blends with cops make me worry that I'll need dry down. (mostly scared off by those warnings of "you'll NEVER get cops out of your clothes!")
  14. Question for you guys - is there enough cops in this to need a dry-down and the not-on-hair rule? Or is it negligible? (I spray Cougar in my hair...)
  15. I got a sniffy of this too! Wow, it's like a clove-y Garland and Lace to me. Like G&L but not as buttery and not as sweet. Or maybe it's the sweet-ish pumpkin in both that draw the similarities to me? I think I like this. Uh-oh.
  16. LOL! I will when I feel it's appropriate next time. But for now I do like Lumina for social gatherings.

    Xuehua Xing

I cannot figure out the notes to this other than it must have a hint of mint. The scent is gorgeous, it's very wintery, like a crisp outdoor winter. Very crisp, white, light airy scent. Makes me think of a pristine snow covered walk through the park. I only got a small free sniffie but I am quite tempted.

    Gothic Xmas

I got this as a free sniffie, and it's quite pretty. I think I smell fig right away. Almost sharply fig? Strangely not a foody scent on me. I like it but I don't see myself wearing this scent too often.
  19. And update - My family's Christmas dinner get-together is always on Christmas Eve, so I wore Garland and Lace tonight. Wow, the self-effects kick in within a half hour and I'm really goofy and silly. I still can't figure out if it had any effect on anyone else but me though.
  20. The mint is... in the background, barely there for me. It really is dark chocolate with a hint of mint flavour on me. Too bad, I wish my skin amped up mints since I LOVE mint.
  21. I got the Dec sampler (just today! talk about timing!) and tried this. In the vial all I got was a chocolate, and I was a bit disappointed to not get any mint. I swiped some on my skin and waited a minute or two, then yes I definitely got the mint. It's a nice minty chocolate to me, like the usual dark mint chocolates that come out around Christmas. I admit I was hoping for a lot more mint though.
  22. Wow, I ordered a trial vial of this because I admit I was horridly curious about it and it just screamed "order me". Mostly I was curious about the intent and the notes seemed alright. Yes this was for me.... and I tried this on first when I got December's shipment. oops, it REALLY does smell like a men's fragrance, not unisex at all. I don't know how to describe it past it being a very men's spicy musky, dark greens sort of scent. I don't think I can wear it. Too "men's fragrance" smelling on me.
  23. All I know is that I need to get my hands on more lumina! lol. It seems to be the winner for me aside from SWS. LACE sorta, makes me feel almost tipsy drunk, lol, but not always the effect I'm after and lumina is almost the perfect social phero for me (though no boys hitting on me yet. *pout*)
