  1. I love this one! Soft and green. Subtle. I don't know how else to describe it. It is very feminine. The title is perfect. It is calm and yet shimmers with hidden power.
  2. This is a soft green woody floral to my nose. Despite the lack of florals, it has a soft floral feel to it. It is a little sharp at first, but softens right up with a little time. I enjoy it. It is a very good cover for the dominance, which can be a little overpowering. I was very surprised that this is able to be so soft and still cover the phero beautifully.
  3. I am soooooo excited. I love my annual subscription. For those that don't have it, it is worth the splurge. A lot up front, but I only have to order what I really want each month and don't have to worry about what I want to try (cause all the samples are on their way)!
  4. hmmm... That situation totally sounds familiar... LOL! They released them early this month... Probably due to someone's impending time away and the upcoming holidays... THANX LADIES! I am so excited (and sniggering with you)...
  5. I can't wait! Well, I suppose there could be real calories, but then again they would be a side effect of the nomming breakfast not the actual scent... LOL!
  6. So sad the you used in this pumpkin is long gone... Of course it would be just my luck that my favorite scent this month is not available for sale. . I love it!
  7. Might not be fruit in it as an ingredient, but I get a fruit note on my skin... Not sure what is doing it...
  8. This is a softer scent that demands you come close to smell it. It is very pretty and feminine, but not “perfumey”. It is like a beautiful ball gown or a soft piece of lace gracing your skin. It is the scent that you would go to when you want that very soft, feminine subtle scent that enhances your natural glow.

    NOX 2009

The original NOX is one of my favorite scents, so I was hesitant to try the remake (mostly afraid that it wouldn’t be as good). It is subtly different from the original. It is not a sweet and a little sharper. I love it. It is just different enough to justify having this one as well as the original. I love the new sharper edge in this one.
  10. This one smells very fruity on me when wet. I don’t have the ingredients handy as I write this, but it is a crisper fruit note (not a citrus or berry note). It’s not juicy either. It is crisp and yet warm at the same time. As it dries, the fruits meld into a soft cushiony background for the rest of the notes. It becomes a soft and inviting scent that beckons you to come closer and yet dares you at the same time. It is a pull and a subtle warning. “Be careful” it whispers in your ear as it pulls you in closer… Hinting that once you are drawn in, you might not be able to escape.
  11. This one is complicated to my nose. I can smell the standard LP notes floating in and out of the additional fall notes. The apricot in this one is very subtle, just barely noticeable. This is not overly spicy, not overly fruity. It is a not a moist or juicy scent, nor is it dry. It is like fall leaves that have just fallen from the tree, just beginning to dry out, but still pliable. As it dries on me, it starts to develop a slightly waxy note.
  12. Santa Carla 2009 Welcome to Santa Carla 2009, this year’s tribute to all things hot, yummy, dark and perhaps...deadly. A sweet layer of fresh funnel cake sweetened with pumpkin pie filling, a touch of dark berry, a bit of powdered sugar, with just a touch of incense and the sea in the air. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Magickal Meanings of Ingredients: PUMPKIN ~ Fertility, plenty, abundance, prosperity, male sexual stimulant. DARK BERRY ~ Attraction, draws fortunate circumstances in all areas of your life. POWDERED SUGAR ~ Attracts love, luck, sweetness, riches, lust inducing. VANILLA ~ Aphrodisiac, inspires happiness, playfulness, sexual arousal, lust, insatiability. SPICES ~ Lust, love, invigoration. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was a little skeptical of this one, since I was not a huge fan of the last version of Santa Carla. But, if I have learned anything over the last year as an LP customer, it is that the remakes are never the same as the original. So, I broke down and tried this anyways… And I am glad that I did. When I smelled it in the vial, I was still skeptical. I put it on my skin and let it sit for a minute or two before I sniffed it and was pleasantly surprised. The strong smoky leather note that I disliked in the original is much softer and less noticeable in this one. Still there, but not a predominant note on me. This one is a soft, dirty scent. It is the defiant side of your nature, that love of adrenaline and danger that lies just beneath the surface. It is the confidence you didn’t know you had. It is the coy smile that slips across your face when you feel like doing something a little naughty. It is the spark of life in your eyes as you tip over that first unseen drop on your favorite roller coaster. With this one I had to describe the feelings it evoked rather than the notes. Those feelings capture how this smells to me… fantastic, daring and sexy – but not overtly. It is hovering beneath the surface just waiting for you to let it come out and play.
  13. Nosfy's Aperitif Nosferatu is preparing for his evening meal with a light libation, won't you join us in front of the fire? Sweet Bavarian cream, Indian Amber, Wild Roses, Carpathian Chocolate, Barbados Sugar...these are all of the nefarious reasons why this is Nosfy's favorite aperitif...try it yourself and see what appetites you can stimulate....nyehehe... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Magickal Meanings of Ingredients: CREAM ~ Soothing, eases troubled relationships. AMBER ~ Fertility, luck, riches, sensuality. ROSE ~ Self-confidence, strong aphrodisiac properties, attracts affection and love, fertility. CHOCOLATE ~ Lightens emotions, evokes feelings of love. SUGAR ~ Attracts love, luck, sweetness, riches, lust inducing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wow. Wet, this was very interesting. I could smell resins like they were standing up out of the scent waving their arms saying “hi, here I am”. They weren’t overly powerful, just demanding to be noticed. This scent gives me the image of 3-D in my mind. The notes are in noticeable layers and pop out, almost like a 3-D image. This is not at all a bad thing. It is unique and intriguing. It is standing before you with its arms crossed challenging your sense of smell. As it dries, the notes start to weave themselves together into a finely spun silken layer of scent that caresses your skin. It is sweet, but not sugary. It is like a catholic school girl standing before you as the picture of innocence, but you know better when you see the glint of danger in her eyes.
  14. This one made me smile when I put it on wet. It is sweet and playful, hinting at a just shattered innocence that still wants to linger. It is fruity, but not fruity at the same time. It is not foody at all, so don’t let the word “fruity” scare you off. I am not typically a fan of fruity or foody scents, but I do like this one. It feels like the perfect combo of fall and spring. It is a bright fall scent that is unaware of the season’s death that surrounds it, still holding tight to its innocence.
  15. This one smells like the perfect fall potpourri to me when wet. Not something that I would wear regularly, but definitely one that I could use as an anointing oil, in a diffuser or in a bath. Mmm… makes me feel cozy…
  16. Strong hot clove note when I first put it on, like clove crackling in the flambé flames. It dries down into a delectable sweetness with the fruit floating in and out of the spice and sugar. Definitely a fantastic fall sweetly edible scent that makes you want to lick yourself (or perhaps someone else will do the licking?)…
  17. Sassy Sibylia We call it Halloween. Before that it was All Hallows’ Eve. But before that, in days long since lost to myth and legend, the ancient Celts called it Samhain…the night when the border between the worlds of the living and the dead all but disappeared. Other legends speak of the Priestesses of the Sybil, who stood at the entrances to caves to call upon the spirits of the dead. There are also tales of the fae folk, who hold their sway on the unsuspecting who wander through their woods. With all these forces moving about, we thought it best to create a little something to keep them happy and working in your best interests. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Magickal Meanings of Ingredients: MOSSES ~ Luck enhancing, financial success, protection, charity. SPICES ~ Lust, love, invigoration. MAGNOLIA ~ Adds an air of nobility, psychic enhancer, inspires peace and harmony; fidelity. MAY APPLE (aka American Mandrake magically equivalent to European Mandrake) ~ Powerfully protective, draws prosperity, personal strength and power, amplification of intent and other ingredients. CHYPRE (blend of Civet, Ambergris, Oakmoss and Musk) ~ Potently sexual combination, wealth drawing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This one is yummy in a subtle spicy kind of way. Definitely sassy… This one has some clove or nutmeg in it that comes out strong when wet and then fades into the background as it dries. This dries into a softer spicy scent with a depth that is just barely noticeable. It is like looking into haunted eyes that have a playful edge. It is intriguing and a fairly closely held scent that lasts for longer than I expected given the light throw.
  18. I couldn't find a thread for this, even through the search... so I am starting one... This is just what it says. A soft, musky jasmine scent. It is a little strong on it’s own for my taste, but would be a great way to add a touch of floral to a dark, resinous scent (which is what I got it for). Both this one and Musky Dusky Roses are fantastic for just that. The musk in the scent tones down the florals just enough that when I add it to a darker scent, it melds perfectly – giving me the perfect feminine edge when I need to soften up the “image” just a touch.
  19. Wet, this one didn’t really smell. I know that sounds odd. It just smelled wet. I don’t even know how to describe that. Not like wet dog wet or even ocean breeze wet, but like a cool watery wetness. As it dries, the bamboo peaks out of the gentle rain. The other notes swirl in and out, but this really retains that scent of wetness that is very nebulous. It smells like fresh spring air after a gentle rain, the water is still evaporating off of the damp leaves of the bamboo stalks and the flowers. This one really embodies the element water for me.
  20. I am one of the rare individuals that really like green scents. This one is definitely a green and slightly earthy. It is green and subtly woody. When I smelled it in the vial, I wasn’t sure that I would like it. I put it on my skin and it warmed right up. Liz did a wonderful job with this one.  It is fairly complex to my nose and I can’t pick out any individual notes when it starts to dry down. It is soft and subtly sexy. It has a very earthy feel to it. I say feel, because it doesn’t smell like your typical earthy scent.
  21. I will start here by saying that I love the unscented focus potion. I have it added to several of my scents as an add-on and it totally works. I love wearing it to work when I have deadlines hanging over my head. I really am able to focus and “get ‘er done.” So for the phero portion of this scent, it rocks. OK, so for the scent of this… It doesn’t overwhelm or underwhelm me. It isn’t one that I love, but I also don’t dislike it. It has a hint of citrus, yet also feels like it has a hint of mint. So, it is warm and cool at the same time. Balanced. Very good given the purpose. It is nice and undistracting, which might be good if you are trying to focus (you won’t be busy huffing yourself). For the intent, it is a great scent that doesn’t attract a lot of attention one way or another. When you need to really focus on a deadline or project and not be bothered, this may be just what you need; a scent that is nice, balanced and unassuming. 

  23. There is something in here that disagrees with my nose. It has a sharp acrid note to it and smells kind of soapy. Here is another one that I am chalking up to chemistry. Please use other’s reviews to make your decision. I am sure that this was not designed to smell like dishwasher soap, which is what it reminds me of on my skin (that sharp bleachy soapy smell).
  24. OK. Be warned – chemical disaster with my skin. This smelled like mothballs. Horrible perfume scent, let me tell you. DO NOT use my review in making your decision. I can guarantee you this was not designed to smell like mothballs and you should check out what others had to say about it.
