  1. I was lucky enough to score a bottle of this off the trade forum. I'd seen it briefly available after a rebrew but waffled so much on whether to try it that the opportunity passed me by (I've tried off-ranch leather scents and though I liked them, I never found any that I thought of as wearable, if that makes any sense). But I am so, SO glad I managed to find a bottle after all. I love it so hard. I really wish I had jumped at my first chance to buy it so there hopefully would have been time to get it in a spray, too, that is how much I love it. My previous leather scent experiences have been pretty much "smelling like someone carrying an expensive leather handbag while wearing perfume" but this is nothing like that. The leather is actually part of the scent and it works, it really does. Everything meshes together so beautifully, the coffee and the woodsmoke and the musk. Every note is just enough, not too much, not too little. And omg, the musk. I don't know if I've ever tried black musk before but I'm a musk lover in general and this one does not disappoint. I love love love Black Cat Mojo and if it is ever rebrewed again I am going for that spray Thank you Blackcat for sharing your mojo with us in this PE!
  2. Ok, I've been wearing Unisexy like crazy for the past week, I'm just in love with it. This being the men's forum, I'll try not to go into gory details here, but my cycle just started and it has been about, oh, a thousand times better than my usual experience, particularly when it comes to cramps. I wasn't wearing Unisexy for that purpose but I am walking around in shock because I should be more-or-less incapacitated right now. Instead I smell awesome and feel mostly-fine. How's that for win?
  3. Winter's Grace is such a pretty, clean, bright scent. It wears on me like a skin musk laced with eucalyptus and grapefruit, and the eucalyptus actually manages to work somehow. I feared a kind of medicinal vibe from it- I use eucalyptus oil quite a bit for sinus problems and headaches and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to disassociate the scent from it- but the other notes "rescue" it and the eucalyptus, along with the evergreens, comes across more as an impression of fresh greenness. Maybe it's because of the grapefruit in there, but I think this would have been a great vehicle for Cougar, it has that "brightness" that scented Cougar has. It IS a lighter scent compared to other LPs I've tried, at least at this early point in the aging process. Not sure yet how I feel about the pheros, this is my first time trying Treasured Hearts so it requires more field testing As far as the scent goes, I am on the fence about whether I "need" a FB. Decisions, decisions!

    Snowman Poop

The marshmallow in this reminds me strongly of the marshmallow in Flying Potion (2014 version). Of course there's not the florals and grapefruit of Flying Potion, but it has that same almost candied sweetness to it. The spruce is a really nice touch, I'm a big fan of scents that combine evergreens and vanilla for some reason and Snowman Poop hits the spot as far as that goes. The spruce is not too strong though so you don't feel like you're having a tree branch shoved up your nose All in all, it's an enjoyable sweet scent with a little wintry flair. Probably because it reminds me of FP, I think this one would be awesome in a spray.
  5. I know, I've learned to put down my drink before reading her posts, they are dangerous

    EBIL-ish 2014

I wore this again last night just because I'm a big old joiner and when I saw the review thread pop up again, I thought "ohhh yeah haven't worn that one in a little while!" It is still amazing...so vanilla-y and just-right-spicy and good. I think it is actually improving with age, the spices are just melting together as time goes on. Definitely grab it while you can.
  7. Beautiful Dreamer is true to its name...soft, beautiful, and yeah, just plain dreamy. I feel a little bad reviewing it actually since the FBs are sold out now but hopefully there will be a rebrew at some point. This is very creamy on me, the lavender is soft, and the amber is an understated background note anchoring the luscious lavender-vanilla cloud to the earth. I'm almost a little jealous of Rose's amber bomb because I love me some amber and wouldn't mind a little more of it, but I'm in love with it as-is. Balm Bomb is a phero blend that I have to apply with a heavy hand to get the intended effects, and that's full strength, so I'm not getting much in the way of effects from it here, nor did I really expect to. The scent alone is worth the price of admission though, I have no complaints.
  8. Thank you Mara for all your hard work. You are an angel. Believe me I would not spend $24.95 on a 1/3 ounce of perfume oil unless both the oil was sublime AND the customer service was its equal, and that is definitely LPMP. For me these are luxury purchases to be sure and you make your customers feel as special as your offerings I'm just reading this thread shaking my head in amazement because I would have totally hulked out under the same circumstances, not gonna lie. I hope to be more like you when/if I grow up
  9. Wow, I'm surprised you managed to narrow it down to that short a list! I agree with you on Salute, I got that one for my husband as a birthday present and I love it on him so much, but I've never reviewed it because I can't think of what to say about it. It just smells really good! Since you're down with the sweet scents, just wait til you get your hands on Mark's Girl Nip in the sampler!
  10. I understand and agree completely. I ordered a FB today too and believe me, if I had the funds right now, I'd be naughty right along with you and be stocking up! I love how Unisexy makes me AND my husband feel.
  11. When I first put Pirouette on, it was straight up "FRUIT SALAD NOW, B!TCHES!" but it calmed down pretty quickly. It turned into a very pretty fruity floral, I'm having trouble describing it beyond that. As NuTrix said, there is a lot going on and I really couldn't put my finger on much in particular. Definitely got lily, musk, citrus. The coconut was super strong in the fruity blast at first but it was a soft touch after it dried down. This may just be a "me" thing, but I frequently think ylang ylang smells like coconut. So it's possible I never got as much coconut as I thought I did. I confuse the two. I know, I'm weird. This is not a "me" scent and I knew that ordering, but I've never tried LFM and was curious about it and thought, "what the heck, it might surprise me." And it did, because I really like it a lot more than I thought I would. I'll enjoying using up my trial vial though I doubt I'd go FB on it. On the LFM front, I got some nice self effects but I didn't notice much effect on others around me, and I did go out and about today. I might have needed to apply more, I was very sparing in my application due to how strongly fruity it was wet. Now that I know how it will turn out, I'll be heavier handed next time and see how it goes. As for the self effects, well, I'll level with you, if I had to rely on my looks to survive, I'd starve to death. But I was looking in the mirror after applying Pirouette thinking "dayum girl, you lookin' good today!" I definitely got a good confidence (ego?) boost. I need to get my picture taken soon for something work related and I'll be saving some Pirouette for the occasion, maybe it'll fool everybody else too, haha!
  12. Thank you all for your input and advice! It is very encouraging. I am leaning strongly towards getting them some wax melts and a cute warmer as part of Mom's Christmas present, I am sure she will initially be skeptical but every little bit helps on the rocky days.
  13. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of any studies, or has any anecdotal experience to share, about using pheros around dementia sufferers? My dad has a form of Pick's disease and I'll be seeing him over the holidays, so I got to thinking about that. He tends towards depression and agitation, but I wasn't sure if there was some scientific reason to avoid using pheros around someone in his condition or if they might be helpful (thinking here of calming or happy social blends, of course). My mother takes care of him at home so I could get her wax melts, etc. if it wouldn't be a bad idea. Your thoughts are appreciated!
  14. Ok I retried this one last night, and the tobacco is already quieter and "melding" better with the rest of the scent. Once again had the laidback "comfy vibe" going on and I slept like a rock. This is just soooo good. I can't believe I was thisclose to skipping it!
  15. My "technique" for phero dosing thus far (and bear in mind that I'm still pretty much a newbie with all of this) is just to start small and work my way up until I'm getting the effect I'm going for. I start with just a couple of small dabs and work my way up to whatever that amount is. Some pheros I need a lot less of than others, so if I went off someone else's recommendation who needs more, I could end up wasting a lot of product. Part of the fun is experimenting and seeing what works for you! With PM, I personally don't need much see the effects in myself and my man, I only apply a dab to my forearms and decolletage, and if I know we'll be intimate, a smidge to the sides of my neck too. Your mileage may vary! I've never tried Lace. Please review when you try them, I always love to read about other people's experiences
  16. Omg, Winter's Grace gave me chills! My NaNoWriMo novel is about a woman named Grace who got lost in a blizzard I'm going to have to try that one no matter what notes are in it!
  17. I tried this one after my shower last night. Freshly applied, I got maple syrup + sandalwood, which I know probably sounds kind of gross but believe it or not, it worked somehow It smelled REALLY good actually. After about an hour the maple syrup receded some and the other notes came out to play. I'm not sure how I feel about the tobacco, to be honest. I'm going to need to wear it some more, plus having only just gotten it, it's probably suffering from travel shock so I will try again later. It's possible it won't be so pronounced once the scent calms down. This is another one that I think would work well on either sex, though until it settles a bit, I'd say it skews a little more to the masculine, not an off putting amount though. As for the pheros, I've never tried b2.2 before. To my surprise, it made me feel pretty frisky about a half hour after applying, and that was kind of worrying (I was afraid that my man might not be so amenable if I'm putting off some kind of masculine phero cloud ) Happily, I was worried for nothing, so it couldn't have been THAT confusing Initial friskiness aside, we both found it calming. It has a very comfy "laying around the house in jammies" kind of vibe. I like it, I can definitely see why it would be good to have on hand around PMS time.
  18. Just speaking for myself, nope. Quite honestly, I often forget that I'm even wearing them. You know, I asked a similar question about copulins once and it turns out that cops, at least, will hang out on the skin for a looong time if not washed off. I was really surprised by that, because I usually can't smell them on myself at all the day after applying them. So I do make sure to wash application points if I no longer want to be wearing them or if I want to change blends, even if I can't smell anything there anymore. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chime in on how long the various pheros will last but if I had to guess, I would say it is a YMMV kind of thing. I do know that I can smell Balm Bomb on myself for quite a while after the cover scent wears off, there's SOMETHING in there that my nose picks up on. I don't know what. I always make sure to do a good scrub after wearing it because I don't want it to build up on my skin if whatever it is I'm smelling is also in a different blend.
  19. A million thanks for another perfect package Everything is perfect, as always, and I deeply appreciate the pretty bag and sniffies! My order brought such a smile to my face and sunshine to a dreary rainy day. I've got Lightning in a Bottle in my hair and I'm huffing my ponytail with a goofy blissed out grin every chance I get, thank you so much for doing another fall scent!!!

    Unwrapped

I finally tried the vial of this that one of my lovely and generous trade partners sent me I had no idea what was in it until I looked it up. I actually thought at first it might be honeydew But yeah, once I saw it was pear, it totally smelled like pear I'm not a big fan of fruity scents but I really enjoy this one. I'll use up the vial for sure. I get pears and brown sugar, and that's it, but it's delicious and a very fresh, juicy pear.
  21. I have posted elsewhere that Mara's nature scents are on my automatic FB list, and Lightning in a Bottle is a perfect example of why that is. This one is just freakin' gorgeous from start to finish. Autumn is my favorite season and while this version of it doesn't conjure memories for me like some of her other takes on that season have, it still brings an involuntary smile to my face every time I catch a waft. I ordered this in the spray, so bear that in mind when reading this review (I think the method of delivery can definitely affect a scent's perception). I put a spritz in my hair and another on each arm. In my hair, I get the whole description with the exception of the smoke- it doesn't show up either on my skin or in my hair, or if it does, it's so well blended that my nose isn't recognizing it as smoke! It's walking through the woods, in the fall, after a rain; cool, watery, woodsy, and a touch earthy. It's clean and fresh, but in that soft, rain-washed way that makes me want to sigh "aaahhhhh" On my skin, it is softer still, and I get a lot more of the vanilla, which I can barely detect at all in my hair (a calm, non-foody vanilla...don't worry guys, no cupcakes in here!) I would have to agree with Dolly that, on my skin anyway, it's sweeter and more "perfumey" than the version I get from my hair. But when I close my eyes and try to imagine the same scent on a man, I can still totally see it working. I don't think this would smell feminine on a guy at all, yet it does not strike me as masculine on me- I would call it genuinely unisex. Skin chemistry plays a role in it as always, I'm sure, but I'd urge anyone interested in this one but wary to try it because of the "unisex" designation not to be scared off on that account.
