    EGG 2009

Well cheeseburger, 8 months later I can report on my first trying of this that at least for me, I did not even realize there was chocolate in it at ALL, my skin ate it so fast. But then it always does that to chocolate, so maybe you shouldn't take my word. Wet, it was marshmallow, butter, vanilla and musk. Then very quickly it became this oddly floral, dignified, super elegant thing: the vanilla (at least on me) is so unfoody that it smells FLORAL. A complex, nonheady white floral with musk rounded out, just touched really, with brown sugar but in a way that it again did not seem foody, just abstractly sweet. Unique and just intoxicating to me.
  3. Yeah, I drank and not even that much and felt as though I'd drunk three times as much, I loved everyone so much.
  4. THANK YOU for the fast delivery and extries in my most recent order. love, the broke Tyvey

    Fallen Angel

Fantastic!! adding to list of things for next order Thank you.
  6. Silky, with a metallic sheen. Sheerer than I expected. Should be worn to the opera, with elbow length gloves, a silk gown and pearls.

    Fallen Angel

Sure!! I just put it in a pump-spray bottle with perfumer's alcohol (got mine in a huge bottle from Snowdrift). Too impatient to measure carefully, but I eyeball it to be about 2:1 (alcohol to perfume). Alcohol is probably not the greatest thing to do to one's hair, but I don't douse with it - a few sprays is more than enough (I have 3 sprays of Pillow Patter on now and it was too much, is making me dizzy) - and it doesn't seem to have affected my hair too much (texture/dryness etc). I'm going to try to find some *scentless* hair serum or oil, and will try adding a bit of that to the spray so that it is more like a silkening mist, less drying and adds some shine and maybe calms flyaways. I know it will require vigorous shaking every time but I don't mind. If anyone can recommend such a product, I'd love it. I also sometimes just mix LPs with my regular hair serum, BioSilk, which I luv. (BioSilk does have its own mild scent but it doesn't seem to interfere too badly with the scent.) I pour a tiny bit of each into hands (equal amounts, or maybe a little less BioSilk), rub together & smooth through hair. Obviously less drying for the hair than my alcohol spray. But for some reason the scent doesn't seem to last as long that way, maybe the BioSilk "eats" the perfume. Or maybe it's just that it throws less and that's why the scent is less noticeable to me.

    Fallen Angel

Wet: cake, butter, red berry, some sweet lemon, and did I mention butter?: so intense it reminded me of movie theater popcorn butter. This struck me as the deeper, more intense, buttery, serious, older sister of Caught in the Act. But then of course within an hour my skin was all "Ack berry must convert to plastic, and must devour all other notes while we're at it". I'm totally converting it to a hair mist tho. Yummy yummy
  9. Slathered this in my hair and on skin: drastically different. In the hair, it is warm and complex and feminine, powdery-perfumey in a good way, with a sizable throw; figgy and woody and very quiet on the skin. My first H&S experience. I didn't notice effects on other people, but it made me love everyone (in a Vicodin way, though O HAI FDA H&S R NOT A DRUG), and gave me really bad blabbermouth!! Now I'm *definitely* not trying TC in public without duct-taping my mouth shut. Also (TMI alert) I think it was responsible for making me sort of err hot & bothered, in a situation where it was not really appropriate, LOL.
  10. The need for luring ended within my first 2 days here. Seriously thank you KrazyKat! Mwah!!
  11. I still am naive enough to believe with every acquisition that it will quench my thirst for more, for an extended period. It's usually more like 24 hours (on a good day). I want to try Mark's Tonka Tabacum.
  12. I'd be very surprised if so... want bottle waaaaah
  13. An excessively generous person on these boards (cough KK cough) sent me a sample of this free and unrequested, and it is an instant favorite. I'm like Karmiel in that ylang ylang has always been a big turnoff for me in commercial perfumes, but it is so beautifully blended with the sweetness and grapefruit, rounding out those elements. It feels very luxe. To me it is less nighttime and more champagne brunch on a villa patio in Bermuda. What a brilliant idea and brew. <3
  14. Hi Mary, I only just saw your kind offer! Thank you but I have gotten my paws on a bottle... I really appreciate it though
  15. Something in this made me feel fluttery - I know it doesn't have a-nol but kind of like that. Wet, I was skeptical, it did smell a bit fussy and old-fashioned in a floral way I didn't enjoy (maybe the plumeria, which I tend not to like). But pretty quickly it mellowed out and all the notes are blending together swimmingly (see what I did there?). It has had a very cool-translucent-blue feeling throughout, like chalcedony. It's not very me, but it's intriguing, and I plan to continue enjoying it anyway
  16. As suggested by Mara I tried wearing this on my torso and not just my arms, and it is making all the difference. All the notes are playing together and the chocolate is sticking around AND the honey is truly MESMERIZING and is not going waxy or weird on me. You all are so right about hanging on to things and re-trying them over time. I thought I did not like honey. I was wrong, at least not this honey, and maybe because it is staying combined so nicely with the chocolate.
  17. As with Body Paint, the unexpected combination of elements (here peach, lavender and vanilla) is something I wouldn't have thought of in a million years but just love. Somehow the blend comes off as very sophisticated. The vanilla is a pretty chill one, not a rich foody ice-creamy one. ITA with therapygirl that it feels like it is what makes everything work together. The peach throws more than the other notes on me, so that's all I get when my face is normal distance from my arm...but the blended combo is so yum that I am trying to type with my nose against my arm.
  18. WHOA that's some story and what a good thing for your client that she had you!!!!
  19. Apologies for a re-dredge of a very long-ago post (and veering off topic to boot), but I saw this and had to respond. I don't know about the phone, but one time I was wearing a lot of LAM (pink amber) and crossed the street without looking (not because of the LAM I was just not paying attention, for no good reason). I did NOT have the light, and a van had to screech to a stop and it almost got rear-ended by the car behind it. I waved apologetically to the guys in the van and scooted the rest of the way across the street, cringing & not turning around because I expected them to open their windows and scream at me (people do that where I live, if you're LUCKY that's all they do). Sure enough, the passenger rolled down his window and screamed HEY! I was probably at least 15 feet away at that point. I turned around with dread. The van had slowed way down. The guy yells "I LOVE YOUR HAIR!" and the van continues on. OK their windows had been closed, and the closest I got to them was probably 8 feet or so at least. And my hair did not look special that day in any way. Believe me, they did it for teh pheruz.
  20. ladybegood1 and paganlady, I could be convinced to let go of my bottle. Please email me if interested (my email is in my profile) /hijacking I adore all the elements in this, but ultimately it just isn't quite for me and I am now trying to discipline myself to focus on just the several hundred other LPs each of which I consider My Favorite Scent Ever
  21. Eternally grateful to Sultry Brunette for my bottle of this. Invi hit it on the head: a very buttery pumpkin cupcake, still hot, covered with PINK frosting. I want to cover my entire person with this...but must hoard.....
  22. INSANELY DELICIOUS TOO MANY YUMMY SMELLS FROM ONE COMPANY, UNFAIR TO REST OF INDUSTRY I WOULD DO TERRIBLE THINGS FOR A BOTTLE OF THIS
  23. ITA *and* it does fine by itself. HOWEVER, I voted for Pink because the smell is (even more) maddeningly delicious and, I think, covers (even) better for longer.
