    Mellonia's Secret

Pony, to borrow (steal) from Dave Barry, The Arrogant Fig would be a wonderful name for a rock band. Or a little mediterranean bistro.
  2. What I found most interesting with this one was that the cherry, while very authentic as with all LPs, is NOT like a bowl of fresh picked cherries, at least on me -- it is much denser, like having rubbed a sundried cherry on my skin. Unfortunately my skin does not appreciate the joys of cherries...

    3 of Pears

Fascinating blend, but not for me - on me as sometimes happens with florals the plumeria shoves its way to the front almost immediately and doesn't let any other notes speak up Posted to trade so it can be properly loved...
  4. This is divine. Scent is surprisingly subtle, from the description you would think it would announce your arrival by miles, but it does cling very close as others note. It is extremely pretty and feels sort of light-purple-lilac colored to me. Some florals give me headaches but this one has not. As for the phero it is making people smiley and relaxed around me. I am eternally grateful to those who so generously included samples of this in their packages to me, you know who you are. I have to go swoon into the crook of my elbow now.
  5. This gives me a very FRESH impression, the still-crisp breezes of early spring despite the warmer sun and temperature. It is clean in a cheerful, fresh-laundry way. Definitely a daytime scent IMO, maybe for me would be even a morning-only scent. Of the notes, I only know what hyacinth and musk smell like, so I don't know which flower(s) to credit these impressions to.
  6. This is one sexy-pie scent, but in a demurely alluring, almost comforting way. It doesn't throw a lot for me, and I think that's just right / congruent for the scent. I can see this being great with one of the cuddly est-y pheros.
  7. Put huge goofy smile on my face. A great daytime scent. Cheerful, approachable, very friendly. Would be great for people who deal with difficult people all day. I imagine kids would LOVE this scent as well.

    Fairy Massacre

I would never have thought something so intensely floral could be RICH, but this is. There's a density to the riot of flowery goodness. It isn't grassy or resiny on me at all, just extremely floral. It's not white, or pink, or green, or purple. It's... I'm at a loss. It smells like a syrup of 1,000,000 wildflowers, but not sugar-sweet, just flower-sweet. OK, I give up. I wish I could have gallon jugs of this. It would be amazing in the bath, in hair product, as a linen freshener.... sigh.
  9. On me there is "vanilla + cops" for a few minutes, then the cops die down nicely and *completely*, you'd never know they were there. The scent also fades quickly for me, leaving just a tantalizing sheer coconutty veil, almost like I used a very strongly scented frosting-from-a-can as soap during my morning shower, not perfumey at all. I wish the creamy vanilla many of you describe would bloom on me. But, maybe just as well, because I think it will make a great layering item on my skin. I pretty much covered myself in this today and everywhere I go, "DIHL" doesn't begin to cover it. In keeping with this scent's behavior on me, I'm going to call the effect "HHC", for "Hit on Head with Coconut." Dazed, adoring, slackjawed, lingering stares everywhere. Interestingly, it seems to attract less the sort of openly slaveringly barely-controlled lustful reaction that the OCCOs do, more worshipful and longing. Also, for me, so far, BBM seems to have more proportionally more effect on older men as compared to the OCCOs. :hmmm:
  10. OMG DID YOU JUST BUST OUT A HOLY GRAIL REFERENCE?! /dies of excess love of LPMP
  11. In a few other threads it has been discussed that alpha-nols seem to have an appetite suppressing effect for some of us. I am also noticing though that since wearing LPMP products (I am a BIG foody ho) it has DRASTICALLY reduced my cravings for dessert type sweet things. I had worried a little that smelling buttercream and sugar and such all day would make me eat tons of the real thing. But the opposite has happened. I am thinking it might be because I am sensorily so satisfied by the sweetness and creaminess of the smells, that it kills my need to EAT those kinds of things. I'm talking a pretty extreme "death of sweet tooth" effect. I have literally had desserts put in my face and my visceral reaction is blech, no thanks. This is a crazy and unprecedented thing for me. Of course this does no good for people who don't like foody scents. But I wanted to share my experience.
  12. Berry usually goes plasticky on me, but it doesn't in this one. The lavender is mellow, with none of the mint-like edge it can sometimes have. Like Maxine I find honey goes weird AND amps on me (ex: all the Love Potions I've tried except Silver, which I love madly and doesn't list honey as an ingredient), but in this one it "plays well" with the others. In fact as others note UT, *all* the elements play really beautifully together, as unusual as it is to see them together, and it's simply a brilliant combination. I am wearing it over OCCO White so I wonder if that has something to do with it...
  13. Me too exactly. I slathered it on and it gave me a few seconds each of butter, cream, lemon (?! I know) and then caramel, and now it's just caramel, very faint, with a smokey tinge (?! again, I know). Bizarre. I guess my skin likes to eat the component scents as much as I do the real things.
  14. SQUEE, isn't it awesome?? I think the *type* of musk they used is the magic factor. :dances about:
  15. What I like about this - besides the small fact that it makes men moony and they li-ter-al-ly fall all over themselves to do your bidding, I'm not exaggerating, almost to the point of comedy - is that the delicious buttery creamy sweet scent is NOT overwhelmingly so. This is as perfect a combo of intent, scent and effect as I've seen in my short time here so far.

    DIRTY PRETTY THING

Hi, what kind of fruits are y'all getting from this? The official description doesn't say. If I had to bet, I'd guess dark intense fruits like figs?
  17. I am imagining for you, yourself and your kids going through the entire time surrounded by a regal dignity that neutralizes their hostility into nothingness that falls away from you and frees you and your children to honor your ex-FIL. In fact may the hostiles divert their attention and energy away from you entirely.
  18. Echoing the YUMMmmm sentiments. Put it on a few minutes ago and there was absolutely no cops smell at all, not even from the first moment. So far I'm getting only buttercream, a foot-thick slab of buttercream. It's fabulous.
  19. Ugh, I'm really sorry to hear that TG. Are you thinking in the Est direction because you are hoping it will mellow out your ex, make him more kind/protective and defend you against the hostile friends/family? Or because you're hoping for that effect with the hostile people themselves? If the latter, if it were me, I don't think I would go that route, because I don't know that pheros would make a difference against that kind of entrenched hostility. Not because pheros don't work, but because (I've read & personally experienced, as you probably have too) they don't CHANGE people's minds, they just kind of push people more in the direction they might naturally have been inclined to go. And it doesn't sound to me like these people have any inclination toward gentleness/kindness toward you or even civility. Again if it were me, I would want something really self-empowering to help me be brave and self-protective against the hostility, something that makes both me & other people feel "Kindly Do Not F* with Me", whatever does that for you, maybe like Dominance or Leather (I haven't tried those, but I'm thinking of them based on others' descriptions). But that's just me. IMHO you are going to pay respects to your ex-FIL, and for your children's sake and they deserve your focus. Frankly, everyone else can jump off a bridge and does not merit your brainspace. Easy for me to say, I know, but doing it anyway just as an encouragement.
  20. M&D, I am beside myself. This is a vastly more beautiful, lush, harmonious complex creation than the yummiest thing I had envisioned. It is a huge gushing juicy burst of plum, a very very sweet plum, and it is blended seamlessly with the peony. And the musk amount and kind is just perfect. I love that you have somehow made the plum feel NOT overly in-your-face foody. I could swear there is some tropical or other very rich fruit going on in there too, like mango or maybe peach? At any rate it is simply stunning. THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!
  21. I am a newbie myself but must speak up for my obsession Elevation Potion which is amazing for the happy buzz.
  22. I got my order today too and I am gobsmacked by M&D's generosity and the gorgeousness of everything I have tried so far. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!
  23. HA! I've never gotten that. (I actually LIKE the smell of Play-Doh! Weird I know.)
  24. Oh wow was I ever wrong (again). After a while (4-5 hours?) vanilla and butter came around the corner like a big brass band. I am now living in a cloud of berry-flavored cake (not the frosting, not jam, the cake itself) with an inch thick slab of buttercream on it. Gah, swoon.
