  1. I've read the "urine" comment in regards to b-nol rather than EST but the other thing is with scented Sexology the animal musks may cause people to make that kind of association. Eternal Chain has straight EST added in. Sexology, Leather, Lace, Blatant Invitiation, Cuddle Bunny, Intellectual Woman, Heart & Soul pheromone blends all contain EST. Stone Cougar may also have EST but since it's a proprietary blend we do not know what is in it exactly.

    That Kind Of Girl....

I feel like I really nailed the concept with this one, hee! M&D have great berry notes/accords, they always work for me (I can really only think of one or two which did not) and I love the blackberry, it's got sort of a "fresh" quality to it which contributes to the sweet exterior while the other notes underneath make it sultry. You could throw a raging assload of cops/pheros in this one and have some fun, y'all! PS: when the berry fades and the amber musk takes over, it is so very *purr*.

    Heart of Fire

At first I didn't know it was canga flower tea so I'm assuming that gives it the floral aspect. This is one I'm curious to try on Quince, as I'm always looking for a tea blend for him.
  4. It is a smelly snow globe! Shake it up!
  5. The overall theme was that each scent is either an aphrodisiac or posseses love-drawing properties (or both), which informed my descriptions. I think berries are a natural for vday fragrances, though, just in general.
  6. I had to start searching Quince's bag upon departure because he tried to make off with a few he liked and knew I wouldn't part with...until I was able to get him his own sample. *tsk tsk tsk*

    Blood on Snow

This reminds me of scents like Love at First Bite and Voodoo Valentine because of the currant. I love the red currant note, it's so incredibly tangy and cheerful. But in the drydown I do get that sort of chilly aquatic sense of powdery snow (not that I have that much experience with it, of course) and it's a really interesting evocation of the concept.
  8. Leather is the Dominance formula softened by EST, so that might be more your speed if you consider yourself alpha. In my estimation now, Lace is a social-sexual in that it's a mood-enhancer which could steered sexually, but doesn't necessarily have that effect on its' own (unless you're being congruent with that goal in mind).
  9. Well it's not necessarily that analogs are "bad," but it's all about the source. M&D are very picky about anything which goes into their fragrances, whether naturally-sourced or analog. I agree that oil-based artisan fragrance is far superior to commercial fragrances, but it has more to do with the philosophy of construction and materials than merely the medium.
  10. It was an incredible effort...poor Mara having to work on her bday and poor Danna suffering from ickiness. If I could I'd send over lots of yummy treats and a masseuse!
  11. Patchouli is not for the faint of heart...that said, it is much more "palatable," I suppose, once it's aged. There are so many different kinds, but also it depends on what it is blended with...on its' own it can be too much for some people but with sweeter elements, for example, it often becomes patchouli for people who hate patchouli. That's the genius of Sugared Patchouli, for example...because it's everything I love about patchouli but that five-sugar blend makes it something other as well.
  12. There was sooooo much drinking at the Claremont Colleges back in the day, simply because they didn't want the students to get in trouble outside of campus. The two truly epic things I recall were: -TQ Night at Harvey Mudd, a yearly party wherein you'd be guaranteed to see people passed out all over campus who'd never drank tequila before. -A Kappa Delta party my Freshman year where they served Everclear punch which lead to, once again, bodies all over various lawns and someone puking all over our bathroom at my hall. When I say "all over" I mean all over. The RA locked her in there with a bucket and mop the next day.
  13. Ah but see, that's the wussy Yank pub crawl. The Limey says a real pub crawl is when you're literally crawling by the end of the night, hence the name.

    Lioness

It seems like it would be foody, but it's really not. It is lovely, though, it was my favorite of Vivica's ideas.
  15. I now refer to rolling on the perfume from my cleavage down to my navel (then I draw a circle around it) as "The Mara Maneuver."
  16. So it smells fainter on you, or just in the bottle? If it smells fainter on you then I'd suggest applying more of the un-amped scent after you've applied the other and let it dry down.
  17. Beth's Blushing Milkmaid is still available, but since it's in the PE section you can't get a sample of it, you'd have to order a bottle. As far as the OCCOs go, if you like the really sweet scents then you might want to go with the Pink or the White. If it turns out you enjoy Phero Girl then you will probably also like the Gold. The phero mixes (as opposed to the phero-enhanced perfumes) you cannot get as samples. LAM is a great all-around mix, and the original scent is sweet yet light enough to layer with other things if you so desire.
  18. Roll-on...not entirely sure on the scent, I was thinking UN.
  19. I'm getting this for Quince (well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it) but I'm hoping it will be happy sauce for me!
  20. I don't know about this one, but the lavender Mara used in UN was meant to evoke that kind of aura, since it has a "brisk" quality.

    Mother Ship

Sadly the tart note goes waaaay tart on me, to the exclusion of everything else. I ended up adding my sample to a bottle of hair and body wash for my son, since he liked it.

    Mother Ship

Well yeah, it's supposed to be milk-and-cereal, and it's very much like that to me, just not on me.
