  1. LOL, my first thought was, "I'm not quite dead yet!"
  2. I love being involved with an EST junkie, but of course not every man will have that exact positive reaction, nor will every woman desire her man to do. Beccah, I still think this has something to do with him wearing H&S, but of course that's merely my opinion.
  3. Well you're a braver woman than I, Gunga Steph.
  4. Yeah 'cause that's just gonna annoy, not banish.
  5. The new phone books are here!OMG I CAN HAZ SPELL KIT!!!11 (I'm sorry, that just never gets old for me. ) This case is awesome, I know more than a few of you have these for your trial vial/sniffies and I need to get on that bandwagon, stat! I thought I'd give my impressions of the scents because as we know, I'm all about the smelliez...and these are meant to be worn as well as utilized in ritual/working. Blessing Robustly floral and soothing. Goddess Oh this is wonderful! Absolutely delicious, I cannot wait to use it for my favorite kind of magic. Jinx No More Spicy fruit aspect, it has a nice warm glow to it, like a hug, almost. Mojo Fresh, light, watery aspect, like spring sunlight. Road Opener This is the one, scent-wise, which appealed the most to me (of course)...I primarily get a benzoin impression from it, with some underlying earthiness. Return To Me Beautiful...primarily the sweet notes with a kind of "overhang" of the fruit/floral aspect. Wall of Protection Wonderfully deep in the way only resins can be. Peaceful Home I can't really describe this any other way except to say...it smells like home, sort of the Platonic Ideal of Home. Persuasion Men's cologne vibe, button-down polished and type A. Lady Luck Strangely, for me, this has a herbal evocation (which I did not expect). Love Drawing This reminds me of Sweet Lorien B. with more body...more realized, I guess. Girly twirly but intense. Desire Me The rose is not as prevalent, but it leads the other notes in a mmmm, you smell so good sashay. I'm thinking this one really comes alive with body heat.
  6. I agree, it's really great when the two merge. One of the interesting coincidences (which was only a matter of the Fortein "Steam Engine Time" theory) occurred in 1976 when both Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin wrote songs in the style of The Funky Meters, a band they both admired. And both songs are definitely a case of a hard rock band trying to get funky, and they do, but in a very distinctive way. And those songs likely influenced the next generation to attempt hybrids of their own.
  7. I actually love her 70s Casablanca-era stuff, but what's funny is I recently got into with someone regarding "I Feel Love" and the original source of the all-electronic track. Long story, but I just had to have a chuckle at the congruence of this.
  8. The sugary lime note in this after the peppermint burns off reminds me a bit of Lorien's Blueberry Bomb...a really nice candied note. I think I'm going to have to hoard my sniffie for summer, it makes me think of a nice cool drink on a hot day.

    Top Five

Been doing the time warp of late with older scents: Dream Lover Moon Goddess: Isis Sugared Babe but also: Cougar Potion B-Gasm
  10. Well you can't say we didn't warn you!
  11. I definitely believe a man could wear this scent, but if I knew any who did I'd steer clear.
  12. Cuddle Bunny thirded, it is amazing for the purposes of intimacy in terms of coupledom.
  13. Dominance would be a good one for you to try, likely congruent with what you want to achieve. It can be sexual, but it's really all in how you play it. When I've worn it it's been for social situations, not the bedroom. If you like those types of scents you might want to try Sugared Forest, which is also a kind of wood-green-resin blend.
  14. Yeah I got a sniffie of Winter Wind too, as well as Marcella's Night Delight which has an apple evocation to my nose. But here's the hilarious thing, perhaps unintentional. Last year when M first asked us what our wish lists were, I had said I'd never tried the original Love Potion. And today I got a sniffie of it!
  15. I wear male pheros when I'm by myself for fun (i.e. not socially or sexually involved) because I do like the effects of SS4M and TUTH (which is in Woodland Man), for example. Others, like the Boy/Boy mix or the beta-androstadienol in Teddy Man, are comforting. So that's how I handle it: as a solitary experience which will not send mixed signals to anyone else.
  16. I definitely smell the brown sugar in the bottle, but my skin must be loving the sandalwood because it's all OH HAI. I like this, though, it's a very nice skin-scent kind of resin (not too loud), therefore lending itself to layering or phero covering.
  17. Got it today...the sandalwood started out as the strongest note on me, but overall it seems a darker version of Naughty, Sweet & Dirty...then it sort of moves into the mood of SLF (Honeyed Amber & Musk for the uninitiated). I'm not getting much of the sweetness at all, just a suggestion in the background. This is definitely more of a resin scent on me; in fact I could see myself layering this with something sweeter just to see what happens. Dolly, you definitely need to get this, it's right up your (dark) alley.
  18. To my knowledge only an administrator can do that.
  19. OMG REALLY?! *happy dance* I think I'll just cuddle you until it's ready.
  20. Yes those are wonderful for combating the feelings of waaaah as I call it. I suppose it depends on what you mean by "needy." If it's I need a cuddle! kind of needy then those are great. If it's a different kind of neediness then pheromones probably wouldn't help anyway.
