  1. On me the grapefruit aspect actually lasts longer than it did in the second brew. But citrus will burn off faster than most notes. The inclusion of the musk and amber really help to make it stick, although it's dependent on the whims of chemistry as well. Grapefruit always makes me want to huff myself, lol. It's just so uplifting and invigorating.
  2. Exactly. The male sense of smell - but more specifically the appreciation of fragrance - is generally not as developed as it is for women. And commercial fragrances are developed by committee for the greatest common denominator so therefore stick to a palette which can only be done so many times before becoming ultimately trite and unexciting. And that's the best way to smell a fragrance on anyone, but especially a man. *dreamy sigh*
  3. They might not register in terms of the actual scent, but they might still have an effect. It's hard to say, though, because the analog works on the basis of subconscious recognition of the scent signalling the appropriate response. That's why it's important the target can at least detect the scent somewhat (not necessarily full-on, but not entirely masked).
  4. I think I know what you decided to do...maybe?
  5. Thanks for this! I'm fairly assured of nabbing a bottle, hopefully, but I always love to read how a scent meets the expectation of the conceptualist. This is a great example of the masculine notes I love so I hope I get a sniffee in my next package so I can swoon too.
  6. LOL, is that anything like MechaStreisand? *warbles* Uh, I guess it would be SparkleMotion: just a blinding glittering too-sexy-for-this-earth mass of feminine imperative...now that is a selling point!
  7. I would say there's more creaminess in BBM. Ail's blend is deep vanilla with a bright pink sugar note on top, kind of like Mara's Rocket Fuel but with vanila.
  8. Hey, the description for Cougar is all true, totally. And I'm not saying that just because I wrote it.
  9. I believe you made your position clear, it's just when someone states such a definite opinion (or any opinion for that matter), validation doesn't always follow. Sometimes people have different opinions and they will state them just as definitively as you do yours. It's not a debate so much as just an exchange of opinions.
  10. Quince and I were actually sort of "set up," as it were, meeting first in real life, but without the internet (and an unlimited calling plan) our relationship would probably not exist. We live at opposite ends of the state and neither of us can move to be with the other, but that doesn't mean we can't be together...it's just a different kind of together most of the time. But he has a horror of online life - then again he comes from a different era so I understand why he feels the way he does. I am proud of him for overcoming that reticence just for me. I've known people who met online and are now married, I think it can go either way. Real life or online, if a person is not being authentic it's going to show at some point. But one thing I love about the internet is that it means affinity now has no bounds. Your true love or your very best friend could be on the other side of the world...and now that we are literally interconnected we might experience the potential of finding them.
  11. Ah this reminds me, Q sent me an email when he wore it: The Ripper one, my Mum says I smell very posh now. Which of course made me say, "Awwww!"
  12. I think that's fine...you need a womanly aura but I'm one of those who think OCCO is too overt (true to its' name) for anything but super happy fun time (I realized I just ruined my reptuation by saying that). So those three elements should hopefully help you present yourself in the way you feel is most attractive and receptive.
  13. Could be you're overdoing it a tad with x2 in terms of your own tolerance.
  14. It's tough for me to pin down as well, because the mystery dimension of the scent is very much present for me. It starts out with a more foody aura, and definitely reminscent of what I would associate with that type of observance. It grows richer and deeper over time and then the floral and resin aspects take over...it ends up reminding me of some of those darker complex scents like Lioness and Cocomama. It's sort of like looking at a piece of art and appreciating it but not really being sure if I could relate to it. If it stayed foody on me the whole time I would think of it as a snuggle scent, sort of like Sugared Darkness. But because of the evolution it becomes something other on me, not a bad thing but a strange thing. A touch of beyond, I suppose you could say.
  15. In my experience I agree with that assessment. When I need people to pay attention and not try to force their own agendas or perceptions on me, that's when I reach for the Dominance.
  16. Oh when am I not? *gigglesnort*
  17. Oh yay! But yeah, just like with a successful working, I find one of the hallmarks of a really effective phero blend is if it leaves you a bit tired. Come to think of it...okay, let me stop the analogies now.
  18. I'm eagerly awaiting mine! Shelly, I told Q about it and he had a good chortle and then he said obscene things and I had a good giggle.
  19. I would say, to enhance that side of you which he appears to be attracted to, perhaps the use of a-nol would help. It's a feel-good phero and if he makes that association with you in terms of enjoying that aspect of your personality then it might help. But I also agree with Dolly that Open Windows would be a good one too. You basically need something which is congruent with your personality which will then enhance your own sense of attractiveness and therefore carry over to how you act with him.
  20. It did NOT give me a raging urge to clean*...I think it might have been even better if it had. *unless you mean "clear the cobwebs with a couple cookies"
