  1. As I noted in my post up-thread: It's interesting that you got a tobacco note out of that. Maybe the patchouli gave you that impression. *sings to bottles of woobie baitQuincenipPumpkin Shake Rattle & Roll* Have I told you lately that I love you?
  2. Hey she started it! But I love the original version, in fact that was one of the movies Q and I watched during our marathon.
  3. I had a Frankie Say RELAX shirt! And a mullet! (except mine didn't quite turn out like that, it was too short in the back) But no...no neon or parchute pants for me. I was boring: I wore band shirts and jeans for the majority of my youth. Come to think of it, I still do that.
  4. The primary notes were grapefruit, amber, sugars and musk No the pods are under the bed, silly girl. The scented PG Cougar is one of my very favorites, so YAY! I've considered using the Stone Cougar in another base, but a grapefruit-based scent is the perfect synergy.
  5. Just the word pumpkin seems to enduce mass hysteria.
  6. It's a resin which has a distinctly vanilla scent to it. -1- I'm writing a loup-garou story (now overdue for Halloween, alas), I think Danna really was in my brain (Mara let her in the back door). -2- And yes I can't wait to smell Mapacho!! Okay now, YOU are in my brain, it's getting very crowded!
  7. In the vial I really enjoy the fall evocation, but once I have it on, SS develops a perfume-y twang to it that I don't like. What some might call old lady-ish. But there's some notes which I know do not like me (magnolia and cyphre, for example, tend not to work on me at all). I think I get primarily the mosses and spice in the wet stage which I do like, so this would have to be a scent locket for me.
  8. Thanks to the lovely Geena I have a sniffee and I don't really get the coffee as much as the brown sugar and cinnamon. I like it, though, because the Sugared Coffee did not work on me at all and I do love coffee scents (I must have about 5 or 6 from other perfumers). I guess maybe it's like a warm drink on me but I don't know if it's really coffee (not like the male version of La Vie de Boheme is).
  9. J, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandson, my condolences. You know you have your dear ones here to help you through the darkness.
  10. Yeah I caught a glimpse of the new skin later, very nice! That logo was designed by Scorch and it's on some of the swag, I think.
  11. Wait, it doesn't look any different to me. Am I missing something? I saw Serendipity too (and it's the only one of Alan Silvestri's scores that I can stomach) but again, that's someone else's story...you can find your own, dear, I know you can; just be cognizant of your own needs, not some outwardly imposed architecture of desire. I have a relationship that probably many would not want, but it works for me, it works for us. When I let go of that societal/feminine expectation baggage and went after what I wanted, then it all fell into place. Romance is a wonderful thing, but it's not just one thing.

    NOX 2009

Now that I've had a chance to wear the '09 NOX, I take back what I said earlier. The new version has a deeper richer berry evocation to it, whereas the original was more resinous. My skin eats the '09, sadly. I think the '09 is a lovely construction, but the original seems to work better with my chemistry.
  13. I also meant to say: create your own fairy tale, don't live someone else's.
  14. Also, the mindset of: I love you enough to want to have a child with you assists in that endeavor, I imagine, as far as hormonal response.
  15. Shelly may have forgotten you're in medicine...it's a well-established fact that med students/interns have no lives. On the other hand, your career is something worth the sacrifice, IMO.
  16. I don't have any issues with marriage, just marriage for me. Personally I feel it is an outmoded and potentially oppressive institution, an institution that we are brainwashed into believing we must enter into. But I realize that for many it is a sacred commitment, and they're welcome to it. I want my own life, no matter what. I'll let Joni sum it up for me (again, just me): We don't need no piece of paper from the City Hall keepin' us tried and true, no.
  17. I'd rather endure six consecutive root canals while on fire. Just sayin.' Years ago some perfumerie made a "Naughty Santa" scent (think distinctly holiday vice-ridden male, heh)...someday I'd love to have something like that. *purr*

    Pomme de Poison

This one is truly a poison apple on me. Overwhelmingly metallic, and that's just not on me, but in the vial too. I have no idea what note is causing it, although usually benzoin does for me. I guess ginger too, M says that's the note in Super for Women which makes it smell like that...so maybe the spices. *sigh*
  19. Ah...but as Master Quince proclaimed one early early morning as he lay in a post-coital stupor: Whatever Pussy wants, Pussy gets.
  20. Christmas candles usually smell like bayberry.
  21. Dude, why wait for the rug? AND I SAW WHUT YOU DID THAR. In other news...Sugared Amber Patch? *faints*
