  1. The main point in regards to the alcohol base is that it allows for greater diffusion in the airspace. So with social mixes, for example, you don't have to get close to people for them to feel the effects. As far as the other...it's merely permutations of social engineering. With social pheros, if a mix you know works well in the regular oil base at a certain ratio of application, then it's about pushing the envelope to see what more with greater diffusion will accomplish. Because inasmuch as you enjoy them for yourself, it's really about how you affect others and how well you can manipulate and benefit from the effect. Yes, you do run the risk of unwanted attention or sending your sextoy to the hospital with exhaustion...but it's all about the attention whoringscience. Disclaimer: I don't plan to use any of these due to my personal stance on alcohol-based products, but I do understand why others find them desirable.
  2. Geena - don't know if you tried Vampire Bait, but that's got a nice orchid note in as well, IMO.
  3. Some of them do not. For me, the P-com version of CB, the phero mix, is a bit strong without a cover. Dominance and BI I'd never wear without a cover. Stone Cougar, on the other hand, is not unpleasant, nor is Swimming With Sharks or Drop Your Guard. A-nol is not too bad on its' own. It all depends on what your nose can tolerate, but I don't agree when people characterize them all (i.e, all pheromones) as having the same kind of scent because I do not believe that's true at all.
  4. Well at that point you do what we do, which is refresh, although I would suggest using another scent because those pheros are rather potent and another layer of either one might work to your disadvantage at that point. Whenever I've worn something with the PG Dominance mix, for example, I've noticed the same thing and have learned to layer another fragrance on top once I'm certain the carrier fragrance is finally dissipated. For example, with Woodland Man, you could always refresh with Sugared Forest. With Sorcerer...maybe something like Excaliber?
  5. *adds to the list of "Trying to Kill Me" mixes* Master Quince, is your insurance paid up?
  6. *choir gets up with tamborines for the affirmative* Now this makes sense to me in that you're insanely attracted to him. So sexual pheros are only going to enhance and amplify your innate response. BUT...what about someone you don't find particularly attractive? Because if you're talking about getting your groove back...let's face it: one of the reasons women may have a flagging libido is because they're with someone they're no longer attracted to. Although men are the visual creatures, women are the ones who need the spark, they need to be inspired to let the porn star out. If SC in double-strength or more can help with that, then there's the godsend, IMO. Because our libido is situational, even being stupid horny doesn't help us if we don't want what's on the menu (well, unless that menu also includes toys and accessories). Now see, this is your brain on perimen...that's exactly how I felt for about six months when it all started. I honestly thought I was going insane. Because there's a porno loop in my brain at all times but I can usually bury it under other things if I need to. But during that period I had lost the ability, the mute button was broken. Now regarding this aforementioned trouble...did you find any?
  7. It's an expression; "ju-ju" is a reference to a particular type of magic, so this is a magical blend.
  8. Uh...yeah. But then again, the male pheros (either on Q or on me) do what they're supposed to do for my libido. But that's a very interesting discovery...
  9. Okay this made me laugh (because I'm not right) but I get that (not from berries though).
  10. Well hopefully - and I say this to everyone who came here from Androtics as opposed to other artisan perfumerie communities - you can now discover that there's a whole other world to enjoy besides pheromones...the joy of hand-crafted fragrance. Because it will enrich your life just as much as pheromones, but in a different way.
  11. As I was telling Mara the other night, now I realize what Naughty MinxAil was teasing me about! *is more excited*
  12. My mom had the same reaction when I gave her of a bottle of Goth Rosary's Funeral Flowers lotion (because she loves white florals). She said, "Why would you name something that?!"
  13. I've read that the excess testosterone thing in regards to hair loss is related to a hereditary condition rather than an external cause, and I've also read it's elevated estrogen - not testosterone - which causes the problem. In Q's case he's pretty much mostly bald on top, the dear thing, and was already that way when we met, so I know it's not my fault.
  14. Your rank changes every hundred posts, but they're preset. LOL RORSCHCAT!

    Classic Seduction

Most chocolates are accords, and so you have to consider their sources and blending abilities (if applicable), but it's even a consideration of what that note (meaning the component) is blended with, in terms of how it will work on you. So any company could have good notes/accords but the blending of those things could mean death in terms of your chemistry. It could even be the oil base that the scent is in which makes it wonky (I've had that happen to me as well). However, it's true that many etailers - especially those which rely on repacking rather than their own creations/recipes - aren't necessarily as concerned with quality. But my experience with chocolate is that many times dairy accords - which are used to create a milk chocolate note, for example - do not mesh well with my skin and therefore end up turning sour. Sometimes the milk chocolate in LPMPs can work wonderfully (like with Deliciously Wicked), sometimes it might go a little weird (like in Valentine's Chocolates). But it's the sum of the accord rather than the components. To this day the only milk chocolate accord I've ever been able to wear on its' own is the one from Arcana, which Julia doesn't sell anymore.
  17. We know they're behind due to Danna's illness, but if you need to know an exact status you can always call them. It's two weeks for me as well but since D has already told us they're behind - and in over two years of being an LPMP customer I've never had an issue with receiving my items - I'm perfectly okay with waiting, but that's me. And trust me, I've dealt with some bad etailers (Isle of Eden anyone?).
  18. THE NEFARIOUS PLOT REVEALED! Heh, I meant as a series, though it didn't occur to me "Nasty Habits" was that song...for some reason I was thinking of another one.
  19. YAIS I CAN SEE U!!!* *Disclaimer: no not really.
  20. Hee! Someday, M should just make a whole series of PM* song-inspired scents. *I SAW WUT U DID THAR, POTION MASTER!
  21. For me, strawberry musk is one of the sexiest scents there is. For a while blackberry musk was all the rage and while it's nice and all...strawberry is the best, although incredibly difficult to get just right. We're lucky M&D have such fabulous accords in their library!
  22. Yeah it was the one which finally convinced me to take the plunge once I read the description way back when. It will be interesting to see what direction this version will go in.
  23. That's what I always say about copulins...they make a dead man come. Glad you had fun with the "happy hard-on."
  24. "Santa Carla" is modeled on Santa Cruz, where there is an actual boardwalk and that's where the movie was filmed. But the name of the scent is definitely a tribute to The Lost Boys.
  25. You know what made me giggle about that...Ajia had brought up wanting a country fair scent a while back and I described Santa Carla as "a night on the boardwalk with vampires" and that's what I immediately thought of when I saw the label art for this one.
