  1. Welcome to LP, Jones! Love Potion is a scented journey perfect for a time of change...I'm looking forward to reading all of your scent reviews and phero experiences...great to have you here, what did you pick out for your wife?
  2. Thank you, Liz! Dropped a note in your b-day wishes thread...
  3. Welcome to LP, Toronto Sol! Great to have you here with us, I loooove your vibrant personality, which I can tell you have just by your writing style! I'm intrigued by your bacon-ice-cream-dough PE idea....surely my bf would love something like that, being a bacon lover... Mara is a genius and I'm sure she'll do something wearable and innovative...can't wait for your review!
  4. Mara, first of all I want to say I'm so sorry about the double order I placed by accident, I didn't notice I did the same order twice and I know its a lot of work you are doing and I'm really sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused to you... On the other hand, I'm really happy with my new LPs, and so is my sister who is sharing the wonderful Christmas goodies with me! A thousand thank-yous to you and all of your team!
  5. You have 3 SF bottles, Joc??? Wow...Now I wish I would have gotten another bottle earlier... Ireally like it very much, and its the only one with pumpkin that suits me...hope someday Mara rebrews it or a similar potion takes its place 'cause all the pumpkin scents hate me...
  6. Yeiiii! Well done! I can't believe it was the last one, I thought maybe there were three or four left...this is great news for me! Thanks Calii
  7. Ok, I got a monthly sampler and DC scrubby for my sister...A bottle of Super for Men 2, that one was a must, and not difficult to decide...but do to holiday expenses I had to decide between ordering Velvet K or Sparkle Fuchsia...Or Portmanteau...but I was so scared I might never ever get a bottle of SF because I do kept on putting in on a waitlist and it is the only Pumpkin based scent that I can pull off...and it is almost extinct...so it is a jewe!..ok so I'm trying to justify my purchase to myself 'cause I'm afraid Velvet K is so good it will be ggg soon...and Portmanteau I'm afraid everyone will find out how good it really is and there won't be anything left...Sparkle Fuchsia rules and its an LP must have...I did the right thing..
  8. Ok, so I have to consider the strong Cops in this one...thanks BlueBear and Tyvey!
  9. Wow, Tyvey, that is awesome...I haven't properly tested BANG, because I've been obsessing with MLH and now reading your review I will surely try it more often...if it makes a gay guy look at you like that, wow...that's seriously strong effects there...I read you have it in oil, do you think it will work as well in spray?
  10. Hi, Ms Bliss! Welcome to the LP Passion...one feels like a learning sponge at first right? Glad to have you with us here, please do tell us about your first purchase, how did you feel when you got your first LP box of lovelies?? That is soooo exciting and truly a magical moment...
  11. This one is very fruity and tangy at the opening, with the raspberry note stepping in first..followed by sugared resins and some oriental spice. The tanginess settles down after the first 15 minutes and then a subtle violet emerges...and maybe some orchid? I honestly don't know how it smells... It has a very interesting composition and I must say I was expecting a lot from FFA because Raspberry and Violet are among my favorite scent notes...Even though it starts out as a tangy fruity scent it morphs into a beautiful floral, but the tanginess stays there giving it a youthful glow...I love the overall feeling the resins and the spice add to it, because they add a layer of womanity... It feels feminine and coquettish...and the Audacious further enhances this feeling... Nice projection/sillage and medium longevity
  12. Yup...feeling the pain too here, ladies... Maybe a Velvet Kisses' bottle might make me feel better..
  13. Hi, Janett! I love, love, love Chanel Bleu and the controversial Fahrenheit (my bf wears them)...I have only tested last month's men LPs, but I can't think of any that have any resemblance to those...The most experienced ladies here can recommend you something... About the chocolate scent for your sis...what about Velvet Kisses? Its lovely, chocolatey-orange , but it does have pheros....Maybe Dream Lover, it has chocolate and it has a young sheer vibe, less dark than Glistening...
  14. I didn't dislike this one, but it does not drive me crazy...I guess I expected something different, very like Rainbow Falls, with the bamboo and the water accord playing a strong role here...but on my skin it goes all citrusy...which is something I like very much as long as it lets the rest of the notes shine through and do their thing...The orange note in SH is very prominent at the beginning, (very much like the citrus note in Love Potion # 9 ), and the only note that I get afterwards is some grapefruit and maybe some hint of oakmoss or vanilla, I'm not sure... It is nice, and it is sheer feminine, it feels and smells like sweet orange tea, its just not my cup of tea...
  15. This smells expensive...elegant......classy...and unisex...isn't that just perfect? It has a vintage vibe, but it also has a modernist vibe going on...I wouldn't describe it as sexy, but as sensual...incredibly sensual...I imagine this is a fragrance a diva like Nicole Kidman would wear... The Musk in Portmanteau is SUPERB....it is a close to the skin Musk, I think it smells a bit leathery and bit like real human skin smells...so this is in my opinion the perfect Skin Musk...I didn't get any green musk, but maybe that is the note that blends so well with the Egyptian musk and gives it that super elegant aura... The cedar, the sandalwood and the pine are always present but they are never loud and they float around the skin musky vanilla accords..The vanilla on me is very mild, like almost not there, but it complements the musk amazingly...The musk is the star here, oh and it shines! I think Portmanteau is not just another pretty scent, it stands out because it has a bold, elegant personality, it evokes a strong emotion and it sticks to anyone's olfactory memories... It does have good-average lasting power on me, but the projection is not the greatest...However, I think the musk notes are the ones that will be pulling everyone so close to you, that the sillage/projection is not that important... About the Perfect Match in this, I'm loving the self-effects I'm getting...it calms and soothes me, its a PMS killer big time ... This one is sooo Full Bottle worthy...
  16. Well said, Indigo! You are now another fearless Pherogirl...Great review!
  17. Thanks for your suggestions, bruiseviolet! When I get into trading, I'll look for it...I don't mind if its only a sample... We seem to like similar scents, BruiseV... Thanks for the suggestions, Mara! I really liked the apple in Rabid too, sooo different
  18. This is one was quite a surprise for me! Got it as a small freebie and had no idea about its notes, I dabbed it on my wrist and it was so chocolatey, that I had to compare it with the other chocolatey scents I have in samples...(Glistening B, Velvet K, Nookie C) At first sniff, Dream Lover felt to me like the predecessor to the rest, which are darker or more suntuous and creamier... I feel like DL is a sheer chocolate, more traslucent than the others...and because of this the lasting power is not so good on me, but I surely appreciate its beauty. I think its the Orange Blossom note that kind of reminds me of Velvet Kisses (I tested VK first), except VK is way darker and in my opinion more sophisticated...To me its like Dream Lover is VK's younger sister, according to how they evolve on my skin...
  19. Oh, I haven't tried layering Ghostbumps, but I definitely will...and I think because of the prevalent Egyptian musk note it has great potential as a layering scent, particularly to spice things up...Musk drives men crazy...and you don't get Musk this good everywhere. I'll do some combos this weekend and I'll let you know, Bruiseviolet...
  20. I'm curious...the first version has no marshmallow, but it did have more chai spices and cinnamon? I liked it very much, but it has no lasting power on me...Really, after an hour I could only smell some marshmallow, and that's it. I got no caramel, and the chai spice which I expected to be more dominant, only appeared at the top notes but faded really fast...the marshmallow overpowers everything else going on...at least on me, it did. I tried applying more and more, but this wears so close to my skin that nobody could smell me, even when I asked them to...I will re-test with some layering, and see if it works out better. I would like to try the first version, though...from what I read it seems to be stronger and spicier...
  21. Hi, Bruiseviolet! Have you tried layering this one?
  22. Hi, Blupest! I'm glad it worked for you, it's just not my cup of tea... My mom is 60 and she liked PIP...who would have thought..?
  23. Ooooh! Nice combo, Dominican-Italian...wow! Stunning, actually... Poder Latinooooo, siiiii
  24. Gorgeous Egyptian Musk all the way! This one is chic, classic chic... It starts out ambery on me, then the violet steps in but its just a spark of it! Then it fades a bit and the musk ohhhh the glorious musk stays! Got no peach or lemon notes, and no cedar...The Rosewood, maybe it showed up, but I don't know how to identify its smell... This is like violet petals with amber and musk, musk, musk... I'm a gourmand freak, but I surely enjoy smelling something more classic like this potion...It is perfumey, but never boring... And I have to say the Egyptian musk is sublime...high quality musk... Likey, likey!
