I don't know how you ladies decide what to wear in the mornings, having all of the choices laid out in front of you......I have a hard time choosing already, even with my arsenal of LP scents, which I am sure is much smaller than yours.....some days I wear one on one arm and one on the other......if I worked there, I'd probably wear so many at one time that I'd be walking around smelling like a french wh*rehouse, as my mom used to say....

I agree.....I got the cider note on first whiff too. Upon drydown though, this is quite nice.....warm and smooth, with just the faintest hint of spice.....

I never have done well with light florals......my body's chemistry does something wierd to most of them, and some end up stinking to high heaven after my skin is finished with them..... I put Wishcraft on yesterday afternoon, and it doesn't seem to have that problem.....even though my preference is the deeper darker scents, this one still smelled pretty good..... light and airy.....very nice.....

Ok, I am resurrecting this thread now that I have tried bunches of the scents here.......AND since the new releases have come out and some people's lists may have changed......its very hard to narrow it down to just 5.....BUT my picks would be: 1. Messalina......I WISH you would make more of this.....I absolutely ADORE it.....so does EVERYBODY who has smelled it 2. Dark Seductions.....or as my fiancee calls it...."Instant Erection" 3. LP Red or Black (a tie).....totally seductive and yummy 4. Sugared Honeycomb......sex in a bottle 5. Isis.......hot and spicy......like me...... I like so many others......more being added to the fave list every day, like Sabra, Mummy Stuffing, Medium, and soooooo many others.... My 9 year old son's fave on me is Autumn Equinox......every time I put it on, he follows me around the house, saying......Mommy, you smell good..... I think that Messalina and Dark Seductions surprised me the most. I usually prefer the resinous scents, and am not really big on florals. But these two were done in such a way that they are not your "typical" florals........the name "Dark Seductions" is perfect for that scent.....it is deep and dark, and veeeeery sexy. Messalina is decadent and rich, and very sexy too, but in a totally different way.....I hope that you make it again, because it is definitely on my "A" list.......

I agree with both of you......I'm sitting here with Sabra on one arm, and Mummy Stuffing on the other. At first application, they smelled very similar. But on dry down, they each have their own "personalties" that emerge. Sabra is a bit sweeter. I like both very much though.....very nicely done ladies!!

Well, May, I agree wholeheartedly that this one is beautiful. On me, the spices are in the forefront, with the fruits in the background. Because of the dragon's blood, it reminds me of Vain, but a bit stronger and a bit spicier on drydown... But, once again, you and I agree that this one is a keeper! I must be your evil twin.....

Thank you ladies, for your reviews on this one.....I was torn, but finally got some, based on your thoughts about it. It is fabulous. So glad I got some before it is gone forever!

I get the same type of impressions from this. More of a cake smell than bread.....soft and sweet.....almost like an old-fashioned pound cake. It settled down on me in about 20 min or so.....it is very very nice. And, serious staying power.....I put it on yesterday afternoon, and could still smell a hint of it this morning.

Well, May, based on the fact that you and I have very similar tastes fragrance-wise, I have just ordered a full bottle of this, without ordering a sample first......it is getting low, and is on sale this month.....just HAD TO get a bottle.....

That makes two of us!!

Well, there are very few of your potions that I have tried that I didn't like.....even the ones that weren't quite "for me", were also not repellent, either.....you ladies are very talented!!

I think you should try this, Carrie.....I am very pleasantly surprised by the "thickness" of the scent.....especially after it begins drydown....

The longer I wear this one, the more I like it.....I really think I will wear it all year long.......like when it is getting hot and muggy here (I live in South Louisiana), I think I'll be able to take a whiff of this to bring a little breath of cool Autumn air......

Ok, I would have to say that this scent has surprised me the most. I most often prefer deeper, darker scents, so I wasn't too sure about the "Mermaids of Atlantis".....I had read the description, and it sounds like a lighter scent with all the fruits and flowers......BUT I thought I would try it since I received a free sample.... I was pretty impressed. Even though it sounds like it may be a lighter scent, it is extremely decadent and rich-smelling. Like a tropical lotion, thick and creamy...... This has taught me the lesson to try every sample I receive from these ladies......at least once.....even if it doesn't sound like something I would normally wear....

OK, so I learned something new about the sugared amber after wearing it several times. When it dries down, it seems to be the same Amber used in "Song of India" amber oil (and in their solid amber perfume). When it sinks in, it has a background scent that I can only describe as "dark" or almost "dirty".....I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! I have used a LOT (and I do mean a lot) of amber perfumes, and this is the only one that I have found that emits that same background note.

I received this as one of my samples, thank you ladies!! I keep giggling everytime I get a new pkg. It seems like whenever I am considering purchasing a sample of a particular scent, that is one that ends up in my parcel! Mara and Danna must be wearing "Medium"..... I agree with May that this scent is very complex, and seems a bit "unpredictable", yet very nice. As it dried down on me, the various notes would recede, then almost bloom again, so that each time I smelled it, the notes were in varying ratios with each other. This one is very interesting to my nose. I also smelled something that I smelled in "Vain".....it smells like the old-fashioned bazooka bubblegum....you know, the pieces that had the little comic strips on the wrappers? Is that the benzoin? Both of them have benzoin listed in the prominent notes..... All in all, I am liking Kapet......very nice!

Ok, any of you lovers of the LP Red and Black MUST get a bottle of the Autumnal Equinox blend before it is gone!!! Funny little story here......the Post Office in my area was open yesterday until noon, and I ran by, hoping to see my latest order waiting for me. But, it wasn't....and, I was looking like this but, mind you, that was early in the morning. I had to go out on an errand this morning, so I ran by the Post Office just to check my box, and low and behold, there it was.....what a beautiful Christmas Gift!!!! I bought a full bottle of the Autumnal blend, without having smelled it before, simply because of the reviews of the lovely ladies here!! I couldn't wait to put some on.....I have to tell you, it makes me want to eat my own arm. When I first put it on, it smells very different......not "bad", just a bit "odd".....I think it is a smell of dried leaves. But then, that note fades pretty quickly, and I get pumpkin, and definitely maple and spice.......And, as with both Red and Black, you get that buttery, rich smell.....Mmmmmmmm......those of you here who are considering this one, don't delay!! It is definitely worth purchasing a full bottle!!

It is a fast morpher, huh? This is very unusual, too. Out of the florals present, I noticed the magnolias sticking around the longest, probably because I have two magnolia trees in front of my house, and can easily identify that scent. The mesquite kind of comes and goes. Interesting. And, nicely done, as are all the perfumes here. I think I would wear this again.....if for no other reason than to have people sniffing me and trying to detrmine what it is....

I agree with both of the previous reviews on this one. It is very difficult to distinguish between the different scent notes in this one. But, as a whole, I find it to be a nice, very pretty, balanced scent. I would wear it again.

Well, this was a mini sample in one of my packages, and while I didn't care for the green-ness on myself, it smelled good on my 9 year old son. He smells all of my new perfumes when I wear them, and he was feeling a little left out . Rajah and some of the others are a bit strong for him, but the sugared forest was just perfect. Just enough to make him smell good, but not knock you over.....you know how some young gentlemen do when they first start wearing cologne..... This one was a hit with him.....

Well, it's official......my fiancee loved this one, too. He's very glad that I got a full bottle before it sold out. He describes it as dark and very sexy. And, a tip on this one.....let's see, how can I put this delicately.....hmmmmm.......after drydown, if your body heat rises (for some reason ), the scent of this one will fill the room......

Yes, thank you for the tip on this one! My honey paid for the full bottle. He was so funny.....he didn't know that the perfumes here are limited editions....when I said that I hoped it doesn't sell out before I could afford a bottle, he said...."Well, you can always order it when they make some more". I had to explain to him that not all LP perfumes are re-brewed. He told me that I had to get one immediately. RIGHT NOW. So, I did......it will be on it's way to me after the New Year..... He also made me promise that I'll only wear it around him....

Ok, I just had to go in and order the full bottle of Dark Seductions. I wore some of my sample last night with my fiancee. He has renamed it from "Dark Seductions" to "Instant Erection" I told him that I would order a full bottle after the New Year (after my bank account recovers), and I added to that statment....."If it doesn't sell out befire then".....this opened a discussion about the limited editions and the fact that this particular brew may never re-appear. He told me that I had to order one NOW.....and he's paying for it..... So, that's what I did! Oh, and Mara and Danna, if I missed the shipping cutoff, that's ok.....I have plenty left in my sample......
