  1. My skin chemistry happens to love roses. The rose is soft and subtle and sits behind the cocoa butter and vanilla creaminess. The carnation gives a nice hint of peppery spice, very subtle. It is like a soft victorian floral with some modern day sex appeal.
  2. This one is wonderfully complex. I can smell some sort of mint underneath it all. I love the spikenard! It starts out dark and woodsy with some thick green, and then it dries down to a beautifully sweet silken gold (if I could describe it as a color, it would be a deep golden amber). It is soft with a hint of powder, but even that is very subtle. It makes me think of a day in a forest. The morning starts out dark, cool and crisp with a light fog brushing the ground. As the sun rises and warms the air, the sweet smells of the forest start to come alive and intermingle. By mid-day, the shadows are gone and the sweet smells tease the senses. As the day winds down and the sun sets into the distance, the sky turns a deep golden color and the sweet smells start to dissipate as the fog starts to settle in for the night.
  3. I typically do not like to wear scents with real strong apple notes, they are too foody for me. However, I have recently discovered that 1/2 a trial vial in a hot bath makes a wonderful all over body scent that is perfect for bedtime! I am not sure if it is the dilution, the thin amount that is on my skin, or what... but it really helps tone down the apple. I smell delicious. It is a very subtle spiced cider. mmmmm...

    Vain

I really enjoy this one. It is soft and spicy. Very nice. I put it on about five hours ago and it is a very close scent now. I can smell vanilla and the dragon's blood. Very nice.
  5. Welcome to our forum! I don't have a lot of advice for the pheros yet. I have found that Syncronicity works well with Women and Men.
  6. Very true. This post thread was created by the ladies to allow us to petition for scents to come back. Sometimes, they still have the ingredients and will do a rebrew. That said, the second version will not be identical to the last one. The most recent rebrews are Native Soil and Blood Martini. I have not sniffed the original Native Soil, but I have tried both of the Blood Martini versions. There are subtle differences, but if you liked the first one, you will most likely enjoy the rebrew. Often times, however, the ingredients are no longer available. This is our way to 1. see if it can be remade and 2. if it can, petition to have it brought back... Best course of action - get it before it is extinct...
  7. I just got the e-mail this morning, my new customs are done! I had two that were actual customs (as opposed to a custom sugared) and one custom sugared. I am sure that the ladies will post descriptions as soon as they can come up for air. Liz - Sin City is done! Yippee! This one, I can't even describe what is in it... It was based on a nebulous scent description and intent. It is dark, thick and intoxicating. Intent is based on the 2nd Chakra (emotional healing, sexuality and personal power) and it has a carnelian in it to intensify that effect. You'll just have to wait for the description for more details on ingredients! My other custom was the fig mousse one. I am not sure what it is called yet. Here was my request: Fig, Vanilla, Brown sugar, a drizzle of honey, dark raspberry "sauce" and dark chocolate "sprinkles." I asked for the chocolate to be very subtle. My sugared was pretty simple. I'll keep you on your toes for that one... You'll just have to wait until they are posted! Edited to add that I have already tried Sin City, and it is fantastic! We did a little tweak on it to lighten the top notes a hair, so I am sure that the final version will be PERFECT.
  8. So glad to have you join us. I love your avatar!
  9. I just love this one! It is one that I am hoarding. I have two bottles and a sample or two. The cinnamon/sandalwood are the most predominate note on me throughout all of the layers. Weird though, this is the only one where the predominate notes sit behind everything else. They are a very solid and unwavering foundation. They combine for dry woodsy smell with a wonderful crackling cinnamon. I think it is the "dirt" that gives it that dry, dusty feel for me. The resins, spices and incence are definately there and come in and out in layers. Very nice and yummy. It is a warm scent that makes me feel cozy and safe (which is, of course, the intent). It is a great scent if you happen to work around "energy vampires" to help boost any shielding techniques that you are using.
  10. Just a warning in case you have not had prior experience with EOW... It STINKS! It is by far the strongest smelling phero. When you open it up, don't take a big whiff (which is what I did). Also, make sure that your roller ball is intact before you try it. This is NOT something that you want spilling all over yourself. That said, it should not be 100% covered. You will still (and should) be able to smell a hint of EOW. From some of the other posts that I have read, this one works on scent where the others work on chemical reactions. I have had excellent results wearing this one and enjoy testing it out in safe environments.
  11. I can't believe that this hasn't been reviewed yet! I searched high and low, and no review in sight! Here is what the website says: Completed and empowered on the Autumnal Equinox 2008 - a delicious Love PotionĀ® variant, this time with the fall aromas of Acorn and dry Autumn Leaves, freshly harvested Sweet Corn and Pumpkins! Deep and delicious, and 'spelled' for the wearer to capture her heart's desire! Ingredients: VANILLA, CORN, ACORN, PUMPKIN, PATCHOULI, BUTTER, BROWN SUGAR, AMBER, MYRRH, CINNAMON When I first put it on, I could smell the vanilla, pumpkin, corn and cinnamon. After it dried down, the resins really started to come out nicely. Now, several hours later, the amber and myrrh are very nice. There is a hint of waxy undertones for me, and I attribute that to the butter. This one I am able to wear for about 6 hours before that waxy undertone starts to really come forward. By then, the rest of the scent has faded enough that I can just slap on something new for the afternoon. Don't let the Corn and Acorn fool you. They don't smell "weird" at all. They add a nice crispness. This scent is really wonderful! I have a full bottle and a couple of hoarded samples.
  12. There is another thread on this... http://lovepotion.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=392 It is an old thread, but it contains info on diffusing.
  13. AAAAAHHHHHHHKKKKKK! That's all I have to say.... *anxiously awaits sample pack to arrive*
  14. After 6 hours, this one is still with me. Most of the notes have faded, but I can still smell the juicy red raspberries. I am impressed. There are not that many scents that stay with me past 4 hours. This is definately going on the full bottle list.
  15. What about a rebrew of PG: Cougar without the pheros? I would love to be able to use this "plain" or add my own pheros to it.
  16. You have to order it under the "Private Editions" section if you would like to order a bottle... I think that the ladies send out samples of privates sometimes, but not always...hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (that was my cat's addition to this post)...
  17. It has been a while since I have worn this one. I am again reminded that I love the warm cinnamon in this one.
  18. There are several from this month that are screaming my name... I am looking forward to them. Just when I thought I was settled... I have decided on a great motivator for acheiving my goals, however... I just joined a gym last month and have decided to reward myself for going. Each time I go, I will put a $5 bill in a jar. That will be my LP money. I can only order if there is money in my jar... Hmmm... I am thinking four bottles a month sounds good...
  19. I am sooo excited! I hope that my goodies are awaiting my arrival when I return home next week! I'll be back in town on Christmas Eve and hope that these are in my mailbox when I go on Friday! I won't even know where to start!!!!
