  1. Wishing you the smoothest of moves. Truly hope you will post pictures of your new spot. As frustrating, tiring and nasty moving can be, creating your new space and learning all about the area around you will hopefully bring much joy. It's so beautiful up there, I wish I could pack up and go with you. I know we all will be thinking of you and hoping your journey brings a bright and blessed future ahead.
  2. I never tried this and honestly, I thought the notes might not be something I would like. I just got a bottle of this as a truly appreciated freebie and straight out of the box, my first thought was yep, not really me so I put it aside. That was a week ago. This morning I decided to bring it out and see what I thought because my goal after the first of the year is to create a little trade thread and thought this might be one I would be adding. Oh my goodness.... not going to happen. The very initial roll on still doesn't smell that good to me but after I let it sit for a minute, it is SO GOOD. I can smell the cloud of it and it's so gorgeous - foody but not. Vaguely floral, very comforting but also kind of sexy and mysterious. I could see layering this with something creamy as well but I don't think it needs it. There's a creamy feel to it already and yet it still feels sheer on my skin. No one could be more surprised than me by how much I am liking this!!!!
  3. Whoops! I don't know why my head was thinking you were at work! LOL I don't remember it lingering that long at full blast on my skin. Sorry to hear you aren't enjoying it as much. Hopefully, with a little time, it will calm down for you.
  4. Give it some time, Eggers. It does calm and mellow after awhile. Sorry you're getting the itchies though - especially at work! I agree with you about aging, I think it will only get better with time.
  5. I've LOVED my LP Red boosted with Gotcha (and cops). It garners attention everywhere it goes. This one is definitely a magnet ... for both men and women. I've got half a bottle of virgin so I'm thinking I NEED to get this out with AJA and Bang! I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the pheros so it'll just be matter of what you love the best. It covers like a charm and can be either sexy as hell or innocent and sweet. No matter how you play it though... definitely a man magnet.
  6. It's interesting to see how it is affecting us individually. Some don't like it all and others love, Love, LOVE it. I'm in the latter camp. This seems to love my skin and comes off as such a gorgeous yummy lickable honey type feel.... not quite honey but honey enough. So far, it's blending so well with perfumes. I need to try going somewhere to test this out on someone I don't know. Wore it to work today but I'm pretty secluded on this stupid project so I have no findings... other than that I could totally get addicted to added this to different scents!!
  7. Hearts, I've worn this a couple of times now so I thought I'd give my impressions... best I can because this one kind of defies definition for me!! LOL Both times when I first spray it on, it's strong... a crisp fresh apple, bits of pear, hints of citrus, maybe some peach. It smells very fresh to me, not like canned fruit but ripe... like going to a packing house where you get all the freshest fruit and I'm thinking that the grasses help with that. I don't get a berry note, per se. Then, after a minute or two, I definitely get a smell of brown sugar, assuming its the praline, underneath the fruit... almost reminds of like a cobbler. It adds a little bit of depth to the ripeness of the fruit, a little creamy edge. After having worn it all day, all I got the first time was a very faint fruity floral sort of vanilla. Very light and still pretty.. Today I wore it with AJA and I really love that stuff. The perfume covered AJA no problem and it smelled delicious all day. It seemed to added a richer feel to the fruit but blended so well, I wouldn't have been able to pick it out as a distinguishing factor.
  8. I thought Garland and Lace worked pretty well with it when I wore it this weekend.
  9. I actually can't smell it either. Cops tends to be a rather fickle little thing. I smell it to high heavens in my OCCO Blue, mildly so with Compromising Positions and this one - all by itself (well, meaning no cover scent), not at all.
  10. I ordered some Sugared Honeycomb and UNE - something new for me, a spare bottle of Pizazz because I am really liking that as a Cougar sparkly alternative, a bottle of AJA and MRF in oil. I've been thinking of trying the first ones for awhile and they always receive such wonderful reviews. Since we will be left to our own devices until January, I figure this is a great opportunity to test out all of my "iffy" scents, try something that's a little outside my norm, and I'm thinking the beginning of the year is when I'll start a trade thread so some can possibly go to a good home.
  11. I've never worn an apple scent really until Nip of Autumn. That had been my fear - that it would come across like the smell of juice. However, I am so glad I just went for it because my fear proved unfounded as usual here with LPs! I agree with Stacy, there is a bit of an edge to it such as a hard cider (which I ADORE) and mixed with everything else, it's so splendid. I loved this one enough I needed to get a back up in my last order. You'd think by now I'd learn not to judge a perfume by it's individual notes!!
  12. Welcome to the family!! Like Luna, I agree... Mara, I think, will forgive you quite quickly. I've done my own fair share of ordering in bulk and I'm still here to tell tales!! You are in great company and the addiction only deepens with time. It will feel like Christmas time EVERY time you get your box in the mail. Can't wait to read your thoughts on each!!
  13. I hope you get it too so you can try this one. I can't wait to hear what you think!!!
  14. Cheesy, MDC: I think in my head, I was somehow thinking this was going to be extremely similar to scented Cougar. None of the notes are there obviously but just, I guess in my head, Un Cougar and Scented Cougar are synonymous. So, the first time I tried this on, I'm thinking "What the hay??? This is rosey and fruity??? Where's the grapefruit or lime or citrusy twang?" LOL Irrational, yes. But, once I got past my initial thought that this HAD to be a kind of remake of Cougar, I started to realize that it's pretty darn nice. The fruit really mellows out the rose and blends without completely overpowering. The rose is sweet but the fruit seems a slight bit tart, fresh. I really do envision champagne, bubbles, berries falling gently to the bottom of the glass, rose petals strewn across a table... definitely FB worthy.
  15. Calii, MDC: around my husband, I guess I'd have to say that this is the first time I've really worn G&L. I've worn it to work a few times and it works very nicely in the location I currently work at. If this is an awesome phero/scent combo for shopping... I am so all over this. Interestingly, I did do some shopping yesterday with my MIL and daughter and hubby didn't even blink an eye. That's a bit unusual for him because he's very conscious of the cost of everything. I NEED TO TRY THIS AGAIN... on Black Friday maybe? LOL
  16. I really enjoyed this one yesterday. Layered it with Garland and Lace v5 and it does have longevity. It didn't give a tangy feel like EOW does. It was a very mild, background dirty honey note and only got a wee bit dirtier after having worn a few hours. I really like it a lot. I can see adding this to a lot of scents to change the tone. As for effects, nothing noticeable to the extreme. No female competitiveness noted, no bugs or dogs attracted more than normal. My husband did however impulsively buy me a .357 magnum. Very nice gun and he's been wanting to get me my own for awhile. Does that count? He is certainly not the impulse shopper so even I was surprised when he just said "I'll take it". Overall, I've not had enough chances around others to see any effects (been with husband, kid and in-laws this weekend) but I really like the scent a lot and want to try layering again with some other perfumes.
  17. I desperately wanted to try V2 with BI and having had the chance to get my paws on it, I have found that there is a place and time to lay on that stuff. The scent and the phero create a perfect storm for unbridled good times. But, V3 is a wonderful version for normal everyday wear. I love it for work and although it's got SUPER SEXY, I have truly found that it's a great social with women as well. I've had some great times with friends and female co-workers where everyone was relaxed and laughing. The scent is definitely lighter and brighter but it's just so lovely. I agree wholeheartedly that it is very versatile and always suggest it highly.
  18. Hey Cheesy!! Whereas Cougar and Celebutante (all I have to compare really) really pop out the citrus scents, it's a background note here. Very rose, very fruity in a well-blended way. The citrus helps to bind everything but it's not something I can pick out and say yes, there's citrus. I think it's what gives the bubbly, sparkly vibe to everything else. Don't know if that helps at all. LOL
  19. Forget it being just for men. I would douse myself stuff in that stuff all day if Mara created a phero enhanced cola scent! LOL
  20. Yesterday I started the weekend on such a happy note: box of goodies waiting for me!! Thank you so much for the extras and the bags...I LOVE the new bags but this month I received them in such an amazing color. I have to find a use for these so that I can show them off to everyone!! Perfect as always. Thank you so much!!
  21. It's definitely got a sweetness to it. It strikes me as a very classic scent, almost a clean feel, with an underlying warmth. It's very soft. I didn't get any "dry" feel.
  22. Definitely don't count out the trade threads. Sometimes you might not score a bottle but everyone has a ton of samples and getting a sample of something that you missed can be just as good (i,e. Darling Clementine!!). Fortunately, most of my "can't do without" scents are permanent line but there are those limited ones that are outrageously gorgeous so I know how you feel. Eggers is right. Just when you think you couldn't love another, along comes another month and more surprises!!
  23. I actually have this on with Garland and Lace today. Did what I would normally do with EOW: a couple of little swipes between the girls, a little swipe on inner elbows. I probably should test alone but I know others are. I just wanted to test it with other scents and it seems to blend amazing with G&L. I get a spicy holiday glow with a touch of creamy honey sexiness. It's definitely different from EOW. There's no tang like cops. It's very much a honey scent so I think it would blend great with a lot of others. I'm tempted to try this out with my NOCO Blue and see which I like better NOCO with AJA or OCCO with cops.
  24. It does calm down very quickly and for me, I might be in Halo's camp regarding longevity. It dissipates rather quickly and what's left is more a warmish almondy sweetness... you would have to be sniffing up close and personal to smell what remains. Just warm, sweet skin - and when I think about it, that might actually be fairly perfect with the BI so I'd have to take back my first thought. I might try some silicone and see if I can make it last longer but other than that, I actually like this one a lot. Who knew? Pistachio!
  25. I wanted to laugh when I first put this one on. I smelled like pistachio ice cream! Strong hit of almond on first roll followed quickly by the pistachio which I wouldn't have thought would come through so much since it's low on the list. It feels decadent and lickable. Not sure how I feel with the BI in it so we'll have to do some experimenting. I think it makes me want to eat more than head towards the bedroom. LOL
