  1. Thanks, guys. I think I'll wait it out. I know all scents are unique, but something similar may come along and I'll keep a watch on the trades. I think I may be satisfied with an unscented Gotcha! that I can mix with everything else I already have. I am not sure if it was the actual scent or the Gotcha! that attracted me since it was the first time I wore Gotcha! I end up loving everything I smell anyway!
  2. Hello, Indelibrella! Cool name! All choices are good choices as you probably already know. Welcome to the forum!
  3. I wore this the other day to work (despite the cops). Upon application, I experienced almost a candied flower smell which I liked. Got to work, looked up the notes, and see it's not listed anymore for purchase! Nothing but a sampler on the trade threads. The problem is I liked this the whole day through, that wonderful sweet fragrance which somehow seemed edible, and my first happy experience with Gotcha! It made me happy and I think I got my first DITH from a co-worker. It was pretty strong on me and lasted the whole day through. When I got home, my son came near, lifted my wrist and said "You smell good." Then, my husband said, "You do smell good!" And I said, "Well, this is it because it's sold out and no one has a bottle on the trade threads!". I can't believe I have had my sampler since Pheromas 2014 and sat on it this long until I wore it. It's because I did not realize I like Mara's florals and despite it smelling good from the sampler, I thought it should wait for spring to make it's appearance being floral and all. Does anyone know if it's similar to anything else??? I may have to buy the similar sugared notes and concoct a mixture myself with unscented Gotcha! However, I am sure something similar will come along if I just wait it out. I am starting to think if there is any full bottle set to buy during the year, it is the November Pheromas set! I liked all but one which the husband ironically did like. Those dang cops!!!

    Seelie

Hey, Beach Goddess! I ordered a sampler and then a full bottle of this. I ordered it in case my "corporate office world" found the other scents to be too overwhelming and sexay (for instance I threw caution to the wind the other day and finally wore Secret Sweetness w/Gotcha!). I feel Seelie is a nice fresh spring scent. I am no expert on flowers, but I would also describe it as very green with white florals, not green musk. Just fresh, clean, pure, and floral. A fresh floral, not a sickly sweet one. It lasts awhile and pretty much dries down to the scent it is wet, I didn't notice a change. It's a safe floral that is not overpowering.
  5. QueenLove, just saying hi! Looking forward to your reviews. Your haul is large and I don't have most of it! Welcome!
  6. Hi, The Baroness! That name sounds so classy. I was a squirrel for 6 months before I joined the forum!!! Now I am still a squirrel, building a perfume wardrobe. I know, we must maintain our spending control. I am starting to hide the spending from the husband. Does that make me a LPMP addict?

    Hello :)

Hi yuyanyan! I second what cutie.pie said -- there is no going back to other perfumes for me! And I no longer keep a growing list -- I have an entire spreadsheet devoted to my wants/orders/seasonal rotation. I am building a perfume wardrobe!!!
  8. Hi, Equinox. I thought your name looked like one who was already on the forum. Glad you came back. I look forward to your phero reviews. I am reluctant to post reviews on pheros because I never truly know if it was the phero or the just the sequence of events or moods of the day that created the outcome of the situation. Nothing seems to work on my husband for the worse or the better -- he is always the same (which is loving). And sometimes when stuff happens at work I wonder if it's just me imagining it or is it actually the pheromone? I cannot deny the self effects on me, however. They seem to improve my mood -- perhaps that is their intent -- to help you to influence the things going on around you by changing your own outlook?
  9. However, that's the beauty of places like this. Turning something dismissed into the beloved. Hi, BelleDuJour! That certainly is the truth. I thought I disliked florals...until I smelled Mara's versions. In fact, I thought I liked foodie scents until I smelled her mixes of vanilla and florals and now they are my favorites. The samples turn you on to so many things you would have never picked for yourself. I lurked for awhile myself before joining, so welcome!
  10. I love you guys! My package made it from WA to VA in 3 days! Thanks so much. I couldn't believe it when I checked my Stamps notification at work to see where was my package was and it said "in mailbox". Yay, LPs are waiting for me at home! I was so excited about my sniffies because I got some PEs (Spring's Lusty Cherry, the one everyone was going absolutely nuts over before actually joined the forum and two more of Tyvey's). Can't wait to try them all. Thanks, again for being so fast. It's always exciting to see what little samples are awaiting. As always, thanks for the silver bag, too.
  11. I got this from Hearts and I am glad I selected it from her list. It is, well, like gold and I love it! My version is the newer 2013 one. Out of the bottle I get strong lemongrass, more grass than lemon. But when I put it on, I immediately get a bright orange note, citrusey but mostly orange to my nose. I selected it for Spring, but it smells like a happy summer scent that’s on vacation and more of an evening scent. It is sweet and sexy without being dirty drying to a sweet cocoa butter. The patchouli is always under the surface which gives the sexy impression to me. There is no incense note in this Love Potion. It lasts, too. And just to add to the cocoa butter/chocolate discussion, my husband pronounced “chocolate” when he smelled it from the bottle and I got “lemongrass”. As a side note, in my introduction I referred to an elusive scent I remember from my childhood Mattel Barbie perfume maker titled “Barbie” and this is the closest I have gotten to finding that scent I remember (but with cocoa butter added). Perfection!
  12. This is a Springy scent to me. Yes, probably because of that label with the cute bunnies on it. I get cottony floral, watery notes, and a bit of Zing!! Either it’s the ginger or the cops. The cops actually add to the scent for me. Without that Zing!, this would be too precious for me, but I really like it. I am not a floral person and I found this such an odd combination to make a softly sexy, sweet perfume. Also, the maple seems to stay in its place. Usually when I wear anything with maple in it, it is Right There! On me. Pancakes for everyone! I can’t really comment on the phero blend. It doesn't take much with this. It's powerful. The first time I put on too much and learned my lesson. I haven’t noticed anything different with the husband, but I seem to be in a better mood and sometimes that’s what counts! But, with my husband it really doesn't take much. Funny thing --the other day, my 12-year-old son caught a whiff and said, "Oh, I know that one! That's 'Snuggle Bunny'!" My family knows all about Mara's creations. I have them smell me all the time.

    Egg 2014

I do not have any of the other “Eggs”, so I am going strictly off the 2014 version. It is everything I have always wanted. My daughter wanted a “vanilla” perfume and we are sharing this. It is soft, simple, white, sweet, and smells delicious if you are a vanilla fan. Both my husband and I are big vanilla fans, me being the powdery vanilla fan. It is sweet and clean, kind of like Sneaky Clean, but without the “sneaky” or florals, the amber and musk adding just enough depth. It smells the same out of the bottle as it does on and dried down. At first, I thought it was a disappearer, but I think it just wears close to the skin as it was always there all day long and even the next morning when I woke up. Forget having to request the perfect vanilla scent, Mara already made it! January is my “vanilla month”, so this one is a perfect symbolic perfume for new beginnings.

    Goodie Tooshu

I got this from Hearts as a freebie and it’s a pretty scent. Since Bath and Body Works’ Cherry Blossom is one of my preferred Springtime scents, I was attracted to the cherry blossom and powdery vanilla notes. But it is more than just their cherry blossom. I would describe it as soft, powdery, a little soapy, floral, non-foody vanilla, reminds me of the just showered freshness of Sneaky Clean, a little more feminine, floral. I see it as kind of shy, demure, and cuddly. Dries down to the floral vanilla after the soapiness mellows out. I’m not sure that I pick out the cherry blossoms as I don’t know what cherry blossoms smell like in real life. I am not good with individual flower notes. I have to apply a generous amount of this in order to get the desired pleasant powdery vanilla whiffs all day. But it was there the next morning. What a find! Thanks, Hearts!
  15. Ooooh!!! So pretty! Each more beautiful than the next. YAY!!!
  16. I have many belated thanks after 7 orders. I have loved everything I've ever gotten -- the scents, the Halloween globe, the stockings, all the bags, the free bottles, and all the little sniffies that have come over the months. The sniffies being contributors to all the reorders! Everything is always packaged so well and it's such a delight to open up your package wondering what little surprises might be contained inside! I just want to shout out to the whole gang of you that I know of -- Mara/John/Luna for their scent concepts (and anyone else responsible for these delicious fragrances), Heather for her excellent customer service and quick responses, John whom I believe packages my order, whomever selects the sniffies, and Luna's (Julie's?) wonderful descriptions which tempt me into buying every time. My orders come from the west coast to the east coast in record time! I have many reviews to write. If I could only write them while I am driving to work smelling my wrist! Thanks to everybody!
  17. Just wanted to say hi and welcome, nokturnaljoi!
  18. Just wanted to say hi and welcome, lilhoney! I also hung around the boards for awhile before joining. Everyone is very nice!
  19. Welcome, toxiclove! I suggest a lot of experimentation! I joined this forum to get over the introverted thing. Sneaky Clean (it has Super Sexy for Women in it) makes me more extroverted.
  20. Hey, Lisa. I am no expert on the pheromones. I just wanted to say hi and welcome! I started with the woman's sampler. And I just wore Cougar the other day and it smells yummy! I have some unscented pheromones, but I also find the already phero'd scents to be easier to work with especially if you are worried about applying too much. If you're a clove fan, you might want to just buy the Sugared Cloves; I haven't seen a lot of scents with cloves in them.

    Lost Luggage

Another surprise. Didn’t expect to like this, but it is crisp and clean just like the soda it’s imitating. A pleasant surprise in winter. I can smell the soda! I have found I like fragrances with orange blossom honey notes which surprised me considering I like foody, vanilla, spicy, cookie kind of scents and when I hear orange blossom I think flower and springtime, not my first choices. So it must be the combination of cucumber, orange, blossoms, and honey that makes it so fresh and lovely. Kind of like taking a vacation from winter. I have a full bottle on the way to use as a springtime scent.
  22. Here is a surprising winner. I lean towards foody , vanilla, spicy scents. I would not expect to like a grapefruit scent, especially for winter. This is light and crisp and calming. The grapefruit note is so refreshing. And Treasured Hearts really does work for me. I’ve worn it to work and around family and it does seem to help people get along in a happy manner. This is a fresh scent that is slightly sweet. I get sweet grapefruit and eucalyptus when wet. It then dries down to include the sugar. The grapefruit is a prominent note on me. It kind of has an herbal effect due to the eucalyptus, but it does not smell like a spa. I do not get the evergreens. I suppose the musk is what rounds out the fragrance. I think it’s good for winter as well as early spring. I went full bottle due to the fact it includes Treasured Hearts which I have always had good results from – people just seem to get along better. I have to admit I like the girl on label, too, a beautiful ice princess.
  23. I also get pineapple right out of the bottle now! It's not just you.
  24. In my quest to acquire at least one pheromoned fragrance of each pheromone, I purchased Seer for True Confessions. The notes—vanilla and myrrh being the only ones I knew—seemed agreeable to me and no other fragrance at the time had True Confessions. What I find! I love this. I get an almost minty note when applying, but it soon dries down to a vanilla/myrrh/balsam combo. I am not sure I get the ylang ylang as I don’t know what that smells like on its own yet. I just know I really like the final effect. My daughter proclaimed it “smells like you”, so it must be for me. I didn’t realize it was unisex until I tried to find the review thread. My husband will not try it as he is not comfortable with pheromone’s intent. On to the pheromone portion… I have worn this twice – both times to work. The first time was a daily meeting in a room where it is actually warm enough for me to “bloom”. It was a daily meeting where one group was not willing to admit that they didn’t know what the heck they were doing and the other group (mine) was not willing to call them out on it. But this day, things started coming out—the clueless group suddenly defending themselves (I couldn’t believe things were actually being voiced) and the leader confronting and then assisting with resolutions. I would like to think it was True Confessions helping us out. Another month goes by, things are behind schedule with unresolved issues and I figured it was time for another “assist”….and we didn’t have the meeting. However, we were also moving around personnel and changing up workspaces and a disagreement arose about the placement of a small fridge and microwave of all things. When the person in charge got too huffy, backup was called in. This backup person shared with me and some longtime co-workers that Miss Huffy had poor customer service skills and was pissed off while pissing others off. Usually one from another “group” does not badmouth one in their own group, but I believe this information was shared because of True Confessions. The situation could have been resolved without divulging any personal opinions or information. And I could smell myself all day long, so I know others did. I even got the dreaded baby powder comment from another co-worker mentioning that I smelled nice, like baby powder. It is not my goal to smell like a baby. I guess her nose translated dry vanilla to baby powder. With fridge and microwave issues resolved, looking forward to experimenting more to keep things open. I am already pretty open that I don’t think the pheromone affects me personally, but I was chattier in the evening. It also doesn’t affect my family life as we are all pretty vocal about everything. But I will save Seer for more troubled communication. It seems to do something.
  25. Ahhh, the virgin version of TMI is sooo good. It smells like caramel and white musk to me and is one of the rare love potions that remains the same exact scent wet and newly applied as it does on me the next morning. Love it, love it! A definite me scent. I’d consider getting this pheroed with something else if the scent could cover it such as Lumina or Heart and Soul. I literally have walked around saying that I smell good and/or yummy every time I’d get a whiff of myself. I am so glad it is permanent. I got a full bottle and it is rapidly going down. It doesn’t seem to be as strong on me as other scents. Even though I discovered it through my TMI sampler, I am leery of me giving too much TMI and afraid to wear the pheroed verison!! But I love the scent for itself! Thanks for making this version.
