  1. I bet you'll enjoy layering it with other things...for added darkness!
  2. Cops do produce self-effects...not for everyone, but it does happen.
  3. I don't know about that although they can (depending on the component/blend) give you really strange dreams sometimes.
  4. Yeah I kinda thought that too because....it's great that you got that kind of reaction but I would say that, yes, you've got to find a way to pursue this after-hours because honestly I do not trust a man to complete any complicated task (like surgery) when he's...uh...aroused, which he obviously was.

    Soiled Dove

I would say that the sandalwood is not too prominent at all, it gives more of a smooth wood/paper evocation than an incense one.

    Moroccan Nights

I like this because I really can't compare it to anything else I've ever smelled, heh. I can't even really describe it except to say it works very nicely, and the brandy doesn't turn to hairspray! I guess the primary vibe I get is the spiced fruit, it's most pear-like in the vial, the fig is more prominent upon application. In the drydown I get more of the myrrh, but it's got to be the softest myrrh I've ever worn, very nice.
  7. LOL, given that you had a double dose going on there I'm not surprised that he caught on!
  8. Well even if something is formulated for men, if it works with your chemistry, then wear it, it shouldn't matter. I think labelling things as "unisex" is helpful sometimes, but no one needs the "permission" of that type of labelling to wear a more masculine fragrance. Wear what you like, wear what makes you happy, and that's all that matters.
  9. LOL, it seems like I always prefer the male version to the female version, and this is no exception; although that's no reflection on Sorceress, just that I prefer masculine fragrance in general.
  10. For me the spice is a lingering note, but not too strong. Overall a very snuggly blend, smooth and sweet.
  11. No I just meant that what you want to accomplish will probably not work, only sexual pheromones tend to be effective in situations involving alcohol; but it wouldn't hurt to give EST a try, I suppose, although you'd have to be nuturing, not combative, in order to achieve congruence.
  12. I got a sniffie of this in one of my previous orders and tried it before passing it on to my friend Ashleigh (who loves sakura-based scents). It worked much better on me than Tamashii No Tomo, although sakura blossom is one of those florals which always seems to go soapy on me. This is very light and bright and the pepper brings just the right touch of spicyness to accentuate the fruit.
  13. I think sweet bases are best for a-nol, so yeah it's not surprising it works so well, it's a nice synergy. I think Sugared Melons would also be a good fragrance for an a-nol boost.
  14. If I get what you mean (and I think I do) then no, Dominance is not going to necessarily make your boy behave if he comes home smashed and you want to read him the riot act. However a more sexual phero WILL work in the right situation regarding alcohol and the lowering of inhibitions, this I do know from much experience/observance.
  15. Oh my stars this is NOM NOM NOM! It reminds me of the sexy syrupy quality of Sugared Amber but with the nag champa and frank & myrrh...seriously, if you love resins/incense you have to try this, I don't want to hear any whining about how you're broke or whatever. It's just liquid mmmmm.
  16. It's a very deep honeysuckle, the earth accord gives it a nice depth/weight. It makes me think of driving past the honeysuckle bushes on the main road of my town on a summer evening, after they've been in the sun all day and the air is richly scented. I get a little hint of peach in the vial but otherwise it's not really noticable as a topnote for me. *edit* The peach comes out a little more on the drydown, so it turns a bit brightly sweet. *edit part deux* Finally it gets much more dirty...not "earthy" but "dirty."
  17. Yes there are two I love immediately from my batch of sniffies! Great ideas made manifest with beautiful artistry.
  18. Sadly this is all jasmine on me, none of the sweet elements. And jasmine doesn't always like me. But in the vial I get the blackberry which is so very nice!
  19. I know someone with a tape fetish...and I was all, "Dude, doesn't that hurt?"

    Shady Lady

*sighs* This turns to hairspray on me...there must be something about brandy accords and my chemistry, because Elementary did the same thing (so did Phantom of the Trailer Park, but that might have been the spumante). It starts out with a very mysterious sort of green tone to it, and since it's a chypre/floral I really shouldn't have been surprised it didn't jive with me. With initial application it gave me a rather classic perfume type of vibe - it is sophisticated and womanly. I don't get the skin evocation, though, just a sort of freshness which then becomes a bit darker on the drydown.
  21. I don't really remember the last time I actually smelled hummingbird food/nectar, but I keep thinking this should look like that ruby-red syrup, heh, because it is the thing itself from my nose to my brain. There is a certain fruity/flowery aura to it, but primarily syrupy sweetness. Very bright and happy, this is the type of floral I can wear without freaking out...although it doesn't last too long on me, even as it is very potent upon first application.
  22. There's no cinnamon in it, though...it's another one of those examples where the combination reminds people of other things, just like how some people swear there's maple in Me, Jane! as well, but there isn't any.
  23. This starts out with a sweet tone to it in the vial and upon initial application, but once it dries down it is deeply resinous and spicy...somewhat reminscent of Raven's Secret Weapon. But not in a loud sort of way, if anything it is very toned down in regards to the Dominance mix, much like the original fragrance used for PG: D was for me.
