  1. @Potion Master  Oh well, I tried 😐. I was thinking more of literal translation of previous weenie releases  more than the notes.  But, at least Ashes to Dust is also back in this collection.

@Wanderlust  How cool is that!  You know, I remember reading in another thread (where members have to be signed in to access) that you’ve done some unique things in your lifetime.  It’s nice that we bring people with such varied backgrounds together.

So now about this Red Rum, I’m wondering if it is in reference to notes found in sweet fruity red rum, or if its a  “The Shining” tie in…

I noticed the red flower—presumably a rose— on the label of Remembrance, which ties into Remembrance Day in many countries, and hence a dried, dead flower type floral fragrance …. or, am I totally off (as usual

Day of the Dead x Mucha, how inspired and simply stunning

Exactly!  Never too much Mucha(s)    Even though its not in the name, the lemons adorning Calavera make me wonder if its another version of Lemonscream Buttercream?

Pumpkin Dulce sounds yummy, and Red Rum is another on my list. Thank you Mara, it wouldn’t be Autumn without the Weenies  :20628860864593fef0b8f29:

  3. I got a trial vial of this during the sale, and am kicking myself that I didn’t try it back when it was first released.  It has great longevity, the spices don’t amp at all on me (a very big deal!)   I would wear it year round.  Quite a little gem that I completely overlooked 😐

I haven’t posted here in FOREVER! But I’m happy to have found my way back for the sale and now I’m over here looking forward to Mara’s Fall scents!!

I’m hoping for something with Cougar or Topper! I’ve really been into apple scents for fall! Or maybe a throwback to Sparkle Fuchsia: a vanilla/pink sugared pumpkin scent.

In response to the nut fragrance notes… how about like a pumpkin peanut brittle type of scent, like the BBW candle?
You know me and my love for dessert-y type scents. I’m not the biggest fan of nut notes in perfume, but combine it with some rich vanilla, buttercream or cake scent and I’ll probably love it haha.

I just wanted to say “welcome back”!  :abfx:   I remember your avatar, and read many of your reviews and posts when I first joined the forum in 2017.

  5. I’ve gone through one full bottle of this already!  What seems oddest to me is that the dry down smells very fresh and clean.  I mean, yes, its fruity,  but its also just showered type clean.  I don’t even know if this makes sense, and I’m sure how I’m explaining it doesn’t clarify.  But how it can be an OCCO without a trace of cops truly is magic.

I wish the cherry was a little more prominent (lucky you, @citrine) but  we just can’t control our skin chemistry. I love the overall fruity scent of it.

Of course, for me, the absence of patchouli is it’s star quality.  I’ve tried several iterations of OCCO Ambrosia with no success.  This one is the exception.

I also love that profits are going to help the Ukraine. That alone makes me want to buy ALL of them!  but I haven’t, so far at least

  6. @oceanjewel I never tried Black Cat Mojo.  I wish I had, if only for the name!  I do like leather, at least some of the time.

Hey, how about a perfume version of the body scrub from a few years back?  The red wine and chocolate with coffee?  That would be awesome.  A little leather or smoke in it could be nice too. Just no patchouli.

  7. @CosmoTea  I’m happy to be back.  (I’d taken a break from internet “playing” for most of the summer.  Didn’t quite hold out until fall though!)

@Eastwood22 I think there is a jokes thread way down in the off topic section.  I think I started a new thread when I posted that though.

We should definitely resurrect a humor thread of some sort, or start a new one, because everyone can use some levity in their lives.

( Plus  a spray  version of UN Levitation!

No, seriously, does anyone really want to smell like a peanut? I have a big stash of nut oils and can hardly ever get myself to use them in perfumes. A little almond or pecan, yes, but hazelnut or peanut? Truly? If you want it, I'll make it! Be specific! lol. Cuz I am not naturally coming up with nut perfumes in my brain.

Okay, for the record, I don’t want to smell like peanuts—or hazelnuts for that matter. I have Warm n Toasty,  and don’t know if there is a peanut note in it or not, and  I do like it regardless.  But, at face value anyway, I’m not on board with peanuts.

I’ve rarely gone in BBW.  I don’t know if I’ve ever bought anything there 😐

I think of smoky scents accented with something sweet or aromatic… marshmallows, chocolate, coffee,  butterscotch..You know— bonfires, rustling leaves, crisp cold nights (We get too few of them, what’s with fall anyway?  Why can’t we have the kind of weather autumn is supposed to be like, instead of all hot, or hot and rainy, or cold  or cold and rainy!)

I guess novelty scents don’t appeal to me as much as those that are instant classics.

My weenie wishlist includes Mara’s take on Universal Voodoo’s Sticky Fingers, a rebrew of Weenie Roast, a smoky version of Wild Cherry, a slightly spicy foodie  pumpkin perfume, or a slightly spicy coffee perfume with maybe a smoke accord or DARK chocolate.

I did not think I would ever wear a honey scent of any kind because I’m used to fresh floral scents. This, however, got me feeling so perked up and in the mood for some sexy time, out of nowhere! It gave me the confidence which I hadn’t felt in a looong time.

I tipped the trial size vial onto my wrists and rubbed the wrists in the crooks of my elbows. I also did a swipe in my cleavage. The honey wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet, I got orange blossom and apricot for the rest of the day. I could still detect the scent the next morning, which was a first for me! I ordered a full bottle and can see myself ordering more.

…and its a win win due to being enhanced with Gotcha.  It’s nice reading your reviews. :)

  10. I’m thrilled that the maple in this is no problem for me!  The cedar may be the reason as it offsets the sweetness.  I get a little spice too, even though no foodie spice scents are listed, and that’s also good because my skin absolutely adores amping the spices.

Knowing from past experience the regret of not being able to get more when a perfume I love is not available any longer, I’ve been trying to show some restraint and save it for fall because it seems autumnal to me.

  11. I continue to enjoy this, but really not so much until after I’ve had it on for quite a while. I still can’t decide what note it is that during the wet and beginning stages doesn’t agree with me.

I’ll put it on, then wonder why I thought I liked it so much.  But hours down the road I absolutely love it again.😐

  12. @CosmoTea  The only one that I’d be hesitant to wear if I knew I’d be out around the general population relatively soon afterwards is Sexpionage.  I wear cops every single day. I wear fragrances with Sexology on my torso and have never felt it was inappropriate unless I was going to be physically close in a smaller enclosed space, or in frequent  physical contact with adults other than my guy.  By showering first, anything lingering will be negligible.

If you can still smell the fragrance on your skin after you shower, and it is one of the heavy hitters with Sexpionage in particular, or if you’re wearing a ton of cops in addition to a pheromone blend that also has a high percentage of cops, then yes, witch hazel.  But I think you may be more concerned about this than you need be.

I hope you make good use of your long weekend :say09752:

  13. @Amanda  I’m glad you posted that.  It’s very interesting about skin chemistry.  I know that hormonal cycle can play a part it too (I’m post menopausal though).

I don’t know if there is any correlation whatsoever, but gold jewelry will leave a black marks on my skin with extended contact.  Always has.  I still wear it, it’s not like I have an allergy to the metals, but as (I think) it has to do with skin acidity, it might influence how certain fragrance notes smell on me.
