  1. And to think I've actually read that thread and posted in it, lol. Whoops! But in the case of Lor's specific question I was actually correct.
  2. I believe the only thing which changed about PG was the fragrance itself from the first to the second brews. But the copulin concentration is the same.
  3. Heh, my first computer was the Apple 2E, so I'm old-school too. When I first starting posting on message boards twelve years ago, the way I really learned about netiquette was to just read all the threads, get a feel for the way a community worked, the way they did things, the different personalities and so on. And that's still the best piece of advice I can give anyone who's fairly new to the Internet. Message boards have greatly improved to where you don't even need to know html in order to add formatting. But everyone here is very kind and helpful so it will be lots of fun.
  4. Ail can speak to this from a expert POV, but the crankiness you're experiencing may be a "hangover" effect as sometimes pheromones (copulins don't count in this, I'm thinking so it would be the a-nol in your case) can deplete your neurotransmitters and therefore give you similar symptoms when you've overtaxed yourself by wearing too much, possibly. From my amateur POV as a user, I'd say that one could possibly become psychologically dependent on pheromones, but I don't believe physical dependency is possible. I can't speak to the fertility issue, but I'm sure Ail could.
  5. Not to speak for them, but in Internet parlance, DH usually means "darling husband" or "da hubby."
  6. See, you understand why lolcat is my second language.
  7. This makes me want to write a really corny New Wave song: You are the fruit in my love salad, love salad. Ripe and juicy love salad, love salad. Okay...this fades on me way too fast. I had the same problem with Tropical Temptation...I guess in some cases fruit just does not want to stick to me (yes I mean exactly what you think I mean ). It starts out all OH HAI I AM TEH KIWI, HOW R U? and there's a party in my nose and then suddenly someone took the salad away and there's just a warm soft trace of mostly nectarine and honey on my skin...which is fine for NOMing, sure, but I WANTZ MAH SALAD BACK KPLZTHXBYE. However, I think this would make a fabulous scent for the body bubbles, which would allow me to have a party in my shower at least (yes, I mean that too, but Q has begged me to stop singing in the shower when we share ).
  8. You can post reviews under each particular thread for the applicable scent...it helps keeps things organized and that way everyone can chime in on their favorites. Also, no offense, but...are you able to turn your caps lock off? Online, the use of caps lock is sort of the internet equivalent of "shouting."
  9. Definitely sounds like the kind of mix you need to put a net out for your kind of man! Good on ya!!
  10. I'm of the opinion (and this is my opinion, of course), that you cannot temper magick with pheromones. I really couldn't say if you might go over the edge...for me, the aspect which I generally only indulge in fiction anymore wanted to come out and play and someone would have been in for a wild ride had he been here. And she was a very nagging sort of presence, riding my shoulders with claws dug in. On the other hand, you could wear it in a situation where you are not liable to get into trouble and see how it makes you feel. People who aren't attuned to such things (or choose not to be) may not feel the true effects.

    Remind Me Again

And it did its' job perfectly it seems.
  12. Granted, I've only tried the original LP LE version...the Summer Solstice '09 is much much softer. I'd say the fruit and the LP base are equally prominent but neither are dominant, if that makes any sense.
  13. Maybe just the slightest swipe of the unscented Dominance to enhance your I know what I'm doing vibe, but otherwise I agree that Intellectual Woman is the best choice out of what you've got.
  14. Yeah I'm saving this one till I can let Quince smell it on me...considering how he reacted to the others in the Pumpkin Trilogy, I will be NOMed as soon as he gets a whiff.
  15. M&D have excellent berry and grape accords in their library, and this is yet another example. Nicely true and bright but in a mellow way, not quite tart, just that slightly acidic quality berries can have even when ripe. The LP base is lighter and would wear well in summer's heat, plus I think it could be layered with other variants or one of the Sugareds. If you like LP Number Three for Women then this is somewhat reminiscent: the same softly sweet quality with a definite purple aura.
  16. Evil in Carnation This is actually a very cool "Appalachian Granny Magick" recipe for sex, power and aggression. It is known as a "shifting" spell, for opening you up to what is awaiting inside you. Be your own evil twin! Crafted of Carnations, Anise, Cinnamon, Tobacco and Black Spice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Magickal Meanings of Ingredients: CARNATION ~ Power, energy, protection, fascination, admiration. ANISE ~ Sexual potency, cleansing, wards away nightmares, protective, purification, happiness, youth, psychic powers, luck, calming, soothing, meditation. CINNAMON ~ Male sexual stimulation, passion, lust, healing, protection, energy, creativity, psychic powers. TOBACCO ~ Healing, purification, spiritualism. BLACK SPICES ~ Protection, fidelity, dispels envy and evil, exorcism, hex-breaking, luck, health, prosperity, money. NOTE: Although well diluted, this potion contains cinnamon essential oil which can be irritating to the skin. Do not use in the vicinity of the eye or other mucous membranes. Discontinue use if sensitivity occurs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As we know from the description for this scent, it contains some serious ju-ju...and just in case you forget that, the fragrance will remind you immediately. But of course this is the kind of thing I really love: dark and powerful and wicked (in other words, my Taurus aspect insisting I live out my secret fantasies of domination). This is the scent of the fiery chalice: the one who will brook no refusal, the one who is whipping her mount to victory. But to me it's got a heavy animus vibe; there is nothing soft about it. The carnation intensifies the spicy/peppery aspects of the other notes. I amped the cinnamon for quite some time before it receded into the background, which is the only part of the experience I'm not pleased about. In the vial there's actually a sweeter character, but I'm not sure what that top note is, exactly. Maybe the carnation before the cinnamon kicks in. What's interesting to me is whenever I've needed to access my inner bitch-on-wheels, Dominance is the obvious choice, and the variants are fragrances which smooth the edges, as it were, to allow me to command with a touch of sympathetic grace. But this, this is dangerous, y'all (it's magick, after all)...if you want to be bad you'd better decide beforehand who you're going to unleash it on, because otherwise it's going to whisper in your ear that you can have your cake, eat it too, and go find another cake for later. Or, in other news, whomever bars the door is going to be a doormat so be sure to wear the pointy heels. PS: if you want to keep the balance of power in your favor, don't let them near it. Because a man, for example, could wear this very well...and they know well enough how to be wicked without the benefit of serious ju-ju.
  17. Okay, LAM + Blushing Milkmaid + something with BI...that's a lot of cops...you might not make it out the door!

    EGG 2009

The original EGG (2008) was probably more what you're looking for...you might want keep an eye out on the Trading Post for that one.
  20. Hmmm...no, not really the same. Bosom Bows, for me, is obviously sandalwood, and Neanderlicious has oud and cedar, so there's a woodsy characteristic, but not the same kind.
  21. Despite possibly having fried my neurotransmitters yesterday (a migraine, OH THE HUMANITY!), I had to go with this one next. I know that the cops/TAH combination makes me more outgoing, "sparkly," but not quite in the same way as Cougar Potion...more approachable I guess, that legendary softening effect it can have on more *ahem* forceful personalities (i.e. I am usually mistaken for a guy on the Internet, lol). Interestingly, even with the presence of copulins I wouldn't say it's inherently sexual for me, just feminine, womanly. People are friendly but not necessarily predatory. So my consideration has to do with the scent...Me, Jane! was a great fragrance for this double whammy, and I do think a gourmand approach is a good one; although this is more subtly gourmand. The elements of floral and gourmand sort of bring to mind Vampire Bait, except that was more obviously floral on me. The dominant themes keep trading places...floral, then resin, then floral again, all sort of sitting on a fluffy cloud of sweetness. The musks are at the bottom vibrating their frequency of TAKE ME NOW, but this is not supposed to be diiirty like Sexology, it's fun and flirty and smooth. This doesn't really turn deep on me, although the resin/wood aspect becomes more prominent over time. If it wears consistently for most of us, this is a snuggle scent, a please invade my personal space scent. This scent might work better on Quince...I think cops/TAH have the potential of making me appear nicely girly and submissive (although truly, I do well enough on my own with that ) so I've always felt it might enhance our fun-and-games except that Me, Jane! was too much like sitting next to someone who's wearing too much sun cream for his nose; previously I had discounted the TAH when it might have been just the scent which was throwing him off. So if I'm lucky I might get even more discipline, whoooo!
  22. Dolly - as Countess noted, the ylang is very subtle. Danna noted in another thread she used a source which isn't like the traditional type. Really, the blend entire has a floral aura but not a FLORAL one, if that makes sense. I think you will like it even though it's not the kind of floral you usually like. *smushes Mara* You know, the vibe I get from it is very powerful, but sort of like a shadow...like I said, stealthy. It's a different frequency from Come To Me, but it has that same deep echo (sometimes I am terribly vague when it comes to articulating magickal concepts, heh, sorry). PS: Gaia...glad I could be of assistance.
  23. Not to me, although there is some pink sugar in there, it really smells most strongly of brown sugar and cinnamon with an dash of honey.
  24. Admittedly my initial impression/focus is on how this smells because, really...we all know how BI works (and how well it works in some cases), so it's a given that the science part of the equation is pretty much foolproof. Unfortunately I cannot bedfield-test this for a while in terms of the effects, but HOLY SWEET MAMA does this smell yummy! Interestingly, the ginger creme is what jumps out at me (it's like it literally ran into my nose and made me twitch with delight), and I didn't expect it to be in the top. The flowers are the heart of the mix, they come out with wear but it's a very soft and mannered bouquet. I was sort of getting an LP impression with this, and I'm thinking maybe it's the patchouli, musk and ylang-ylang which do that to my brain. It's a nice seamless blending to keep the BI under wraps. You could wear this anywhere (for those of you who already wear BI whenever, wherever). It's almost secretive in a way, sort of like how Dirty Pretty Thing was constructed, although it doesn't seem to deepen over time, it just maintains the same stealthy intensity until the fragrance finally fades. So happy hunting...or in the case of those who've already bagged their trophy, happy...OMG DO I HAVE TO SAY IT? I'm going to get a reputation for being the one who uses that word without prejudice. Let me return to the ginger cream...it's like frosting to me and it stays that way on my skin (unfortunately the other frosting types of late have not done that ) and it made me say things like god, I wish you could eat me right now and then he said of course you do. And I was all noooo, I mean I smell like the cake you've always wanted me to be and then he said woman why do you torture me?! Because it's my job, sir.
  25. She is at that, D, awesomer than a box of awesome wrapped in awesome with a shiny bow on top! So are you starting a special booze fund for the office? I'm sure you all could use it!
