  1. It's one of the Just A Little Naughty (which is a fabulous place to get toys and whatnot) exclusives.
  2. I'll post what I orignally wrote in my journal, although I'll have more things to add once Quince gets to try it. As your intrepid...whatever I am, oh let's just call it stupid-curious. "I'm trying the male version of this." *sends the link* "Uh...do I need to alert Gina Torres you'll be trying to stalk her again?" "Smartarse! Besides, she's the badass, not me." "She's an actress, dear, I'm sure she's probably quite the opposite in real life." "Yeah but, even with pheromones there's no way I could compete with Lawrence Fishburne, c'mon!" "I should hope not, unless there's something you're not telling me." The blending offered, as evidenced by the ordering of the molecules, indicates to me there's an inherently masculine vibe which is tempered somewhat by considerations of steadfast equilibrium and playfulness. That the male is ever-present but not threatening in any way. Although this is meant to be a sexual mix it's really more just self-confident and secure to my nose and brain. I believe that overall impression has to do with the way it smells in conjunction with the other elements (magick and science). It's like high-end soap...if you've ever stayed in a really fancy hotel (like the kind where they have a phone in the bathroom and you get to keep your bathrobe), you know what I mean. French triple-milled and so forth. A successful man smells this way, underneath whatever else he might wear. So although there is a very weighty foundation unpinning the scent, the heart and top notes are what create the power, the "fascinating air of distinction" TNJ noted in his description. And it doesn't really move beyond that notion. I loves me some 'none, but there might be too much in here for me, I'm getting my customary Alpha Male OD headache. But I know Q could wear this: he is quietly authorative, he doesn't get involved in pissing matches, he lets his work speak for him. And this scent is that kind of aura, it's like I can sort of "see" him as I ponder the overall effect...except hopefully I'll like the soapiness of it better on him than on me. I had the same reaction with Woodland Man: on me it was rather meh but on him it was RAWR! *daydreams* Oh, sorry about that. This might amp a naturally aggressive alpha, but for a sense of smooth confidence and calm authority, I think it would work rather well. I'm actually curious to read/experience sexual effects, I know it's different for everyone. Sexually, SS4M and Wanted Man are the blends which shift me into overdrive, and that's even when I wear them. This isn't wicked to me, but on the other hand, competence (in all things) is its' own enticement.

    Heya

Oh Captain My Captain...lol! Admittedly I watch Torchwood pretty much for the hijinks rather than the aliens. Jack and Ianto have perfect chemistry! :msn_red_fox_smilies-09:
  4. The lovely conceptualist behind this fragrance was kind enough to hook me up with a decant and OMG! This is so very ornate, a definite golden aura of complexity and when you think about how few ingredients are involved, again, this speaks to the quality of those notes that they can conjure up something so weighty. For me, this is definitely a unisex fragrance and I can't wait to smell it on Quince; the fire of the ginger (a freshly-grated character rather than a ground spice one) melds with the deep earthiness of the patchouli and the civet, with just an airy hint of the blood orange floating on top...so commanding! *swoon* This is what it makes me think of....finding a piece of furniture in an antique store and at first you think I'm not fabulous enough to own that but the more you wander around the shop, the more it calls to you, till finally you decide that you will design the room around it rather than the other way around...or maybe it will just have the room to itself, it doesn't need anything else, it is that complete. It has character, maybe more character than you do, even. Mistress Liz, you keep thinking of wonderful things to do with patchouli, okay? Promise? :msn_red_fox_smilies-09:
  5. -1- There are ladies here older than you I bet who are enjoying being fabulous and scandalous. -2- But also, think about it...those of us here in our forties are doing our very best to enjoy it to the fullest, so get on the bus, girlfriend. *beep beep*
  6. Shelly, you know I adore you but GODDAMN CALM DOWN, lol. Katz was teasing ME actually, for being obviously snarky. We know you are Das Uber Sex-Crazed Wench and Proud Of It. That said, you are your own cottage industry of Fuckable Gourmands and I salute you (too bad I'm not a guy but I do happen to have this dildo handy)... (Hopefully you read this before I get banned for being a potty mouth. )
  7. I know what I want them to be... but that's probably a little too complicated. But... Red: spicy White: vanilla or light floral Gold: bright, maybe citrus? (OR OBVIOUSLY HONEY, DUH! ) Black: sexxah resin Pink: sweet Blue: aquatic
  8. That's the dill, I've decided...it lends a sense of mintyness to it.
  9. Yeah you hedge your bets if you tell the truth...but as we had already agreed upon a policy of Full Disclosure, the truth worked for me as well. What I said was, "Just LOOK at what it does!" And really, how can you possibly argue with that?!
  10. It depends on the source, IMO. Sometimes it has a very sort of overwhelmingly cherry thing happening, othertimes more of a dry resin incense evocation. It's itself, does that make sense? Once you smell dragon's blood you can almost always pick it out of a blend, or at least that's how it works for me. Ivy: from the description:
  11. To me this has a similar character to Sweetly Smutty Lusty Musky except the emphasis is on the sweet rather than the smut. But it still hints at exotic pursuits, heh. The Dragon's Blood is wonderfully rich and it is indeed smoothed by the cream, but the plum gives it a candy-like quality, almost. I don't really sense the honey, but overall this is very lush and yummy!
  12. For me, this is that same thick scent of SLF without the creamy warm skin aspect, just the lust and musk, heh. The peach is peach flesh, very ripe (not light as in peach juice), reminding me somewhat of the peach in Hotter Than Hell without the specific gourmand touches. There's a very deep and round peach aura at first but eventually it succumbs to the weight of all that musk. :kyrii_faerie_action: Interestingly, in its' way this is just as dirty as Bacchanalia but it's like the rough edges were smoothed off. I think the honey is enough to temper the assault without robbing the blend of its' evocative power. Fuckable Gourmand...it's gonna catch on, y'all, mark my words.
  13. My initial review of Ms. Right...now If no one else starts a thread, I will eventually when Quince gets a chance to wear it.
  14. I was a Lucky Ducky and gifted a sniffee...this is creamy dreamy ubervanilla with a pink sugary twang on my skin. Ail, of course, possessing the tag team genius of science and magick. knows what foodie-loving men like...so I'll just thank her in advance for the NOMing I'm going to get when someone smells this on me. *slurp* So dearest girl, what does your lovely man say about this one? We need a direct testimonial!
  15. I have a few fragrances which are exactly the smell of burning incense: the intense heady mysterious scent which can cause a whole host of asssociations to surface in the imagination...and Naughty does that for me, probably in the most obvious fashion since Raqs Sharqi. The sweetness lies underneath the other notes like a soft sumptuous bed...and the scent clings, it has body but not a lot of volume, it's one of those come closer scents. It's interesting, though, that the evocation I get from this is as much East Asian as Egyptian, but inherently exotic either way. Moon Goddess: Isis was definitely Egyptian in its' aura and vibration.
  16. Well your inherent hormonal levels are going to dictate copulin production. The use of copulins will do what they do to a man (raise his testosterone production) but I've never read any studies which show usage of an analogue will increase production of the actual compound in a woman, but it will benefit women who no longer produce as much as previous, restoring the aura of reproductive viability and therefore attractiveness to a male. Attraction can stimulate biological responses, certainly...that's fairly obvious. As to what ultimate reaction such activity leads to, it's hard to say; depends on what reportage you can find, reactions you yourself would observe (again, obvious). So what subfield are you in specifically? I have a friend who's a marine biologist in Australia, she has such an interesting job!
