  1. I will start out by saying that I cannot pick out individual notes of a cologne and tell you what they are. So I cannot say with great accuracy first you smell this and then you smell that. I also wear something several times before I report. I will say that I really liked this scent. It never ceases to amaze me how complex and deep the scents from LPMP are compared to commercially mass produced colognes. Even a couple scents from a trial collection that were not my favorites still had more depth than most colognes I have tested and I have tested quite a few. When I first put on this scent, it is very spicy. I can pick out different spices to include the cinnamon. But it is not an overpowering cinnamon. It is a melding of several spices much like a good stew. (Leave it to a guy to bring in food, right?) But within 20-30 minutes the spicy notes die down and what is left is the deep amber and musk scent. It is not like anything else I have ever scent-tested in a store (much like everything elese here I have tried). If you want a unique scent for yourself or for your man, than this could well be it. My skin really absorbs Mara's scents. I can often still smell them at my application points the next day and really have to scrub to remove them if I want to wear something else. I did not ask the Mrs. what she thought of the scent. But by the time she was in a position to really get a good whiff it had died down to the deep amber scent. I will say she is very particular about scents and the amount. She was close enough to get a good whiff of this a couple times and did not make any negative comments which for her is a positive. I apologize as I know this report does not really do justice to the product or is overly helpful for someone trying to get an idea of what the scent is. I am still playing with unscented Heart Throb. I got the reaction I was looking for the other night - I think I just need to wear just a little more ...
  2. A classic martini like I grew up with that my dad always drank. My dad had a friend who told the story of how he made the ultimate dry martini. Back in the days of above ground nuclear testing he attached a bottle of vermouth to the framework holding the device. After it detonated he waved the glass with the gin in it out in the air. Mine too. I keep a couple bottle in the freezer. Whichever ...
  3. Sounds like a new nick-name in the making .... congrats and good luck at the upcoming events.
  4. I got my order today - really fast shipping - thank you! Plus the two samples plus several freebie sniffies. I took a whiff of the Pashazade - I liked it out of the bottle. I will have to try it on soon. I also took a whiff of the Throb unscented. Wow. Very strong. I think they put a couple pheros in that one ... lol. Just in time for Valentines Day for both.
  5. You ladies would have no trouble finding a date around my male friends if you walked in the room smelling like breakfast in general or bacon in particular. Is the smell of a country ham biscuit in there anywhere?
  6. I do not think you should give him the pheros to use without telling him what they are and what they do. Even if a multi-vitamin is a good idea, you do not sneak it into an adutl's food, right? So the big question is whether you tell him that you are using them or not. I rather suppose that like my wife he is going to find the bottles at some point and wonder what they are. I would. "What does Cuddle Bunny Phero-Blend mean?" My wife already knew what they were so I did not have to explain the idea to her. I just explained it to her in terms of using them to help our relationship, work, etc. Once you explain how effective they have been with you two, then tell him how effective they have been for other guys at work. I use them at work successfully. To this day my wife just considers pheros one of my crazy interests. Of course she gets suspicious any time she picks up a new scent on me: Wife: "Did you put something on to try to seduce me?" Me: "I would be trying to separate you from your panties whether I was wearing pheros or not."
  7. We are very easy to train like that. Well, actually he might never really like the scent but he would learn to love it ...
  8. I have heard of a couple things that help adults with concentration, focus, drive but I am with Raq - I may have on pheros around my kids from time to time BUT I would not put pheros on my kids. They are still developing. Me, I am a lost cause ... lol.
  9. WTHeck?? I guess my childhood with a nurse for a mom was the opposite extreme. TMI on more than one occassion. Okie dokie. On tap or by the bottle?
  10. I am sure your a@@ doesn't look that ... no, that almost came out wrong. Let me try again ... ummm, Cheetos aren't my favorite but I can respect our differences.
  11. I do not think you "jacked" the thread any more than any other thread has been jacked before there, here or anywhere else. Plus the discussion on patents was very informative also. I know Mark wants vendors to act with extreme discretion(?)/caution outside their business "box" as you refer to it but I personally think you asked good questions and raised some good if not well-hashed points (VNO) while avoiding any commentary on another vendor's products. Good job threading those obstacles!

  13. Another interesting note about oxytocin that is alluded to in the article but not by name is that Pitocin is oxytocin. And speaking of the potential dangers of Meo-Est there is an interesting thread today in the men's forum over at Pherotruth highlighting some potential problems some users have attributed to a product that is very Meo-Est heavy. (Hope I am not doing something wrong mentioning another board here. My apologies if I am - please feel free to edit if necessary.) Edit: Here is the link. Even the title of the link contains the name of the company that carries the product. Just saying ... http://pherotruth.co...ad-and-The-Ugly The angle is very male oriented but it is in the mens section ...
  14. I will say that I prefer the b-nols to the a-nols. At least with the b-nols people are telling you things they think are important as opposed to the blathering "verbal diarrhea" you get with the a-nols. BTW I like that phrase although people seem to get insulted from time to time when I use it.
  15. The last paragraph is about Meo-Est. I was trying to convey that some people feel it is not safe with my "there is still a question in some quarters about how safe it may be in the long run" part of the comment.
  16. Nice list so far. The Wikipedia page for oxytocin: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxytocin has a LOT of information but I suppose the bottom line is that is the bonding hormone. In the hormone form it is this molecule that helps with bonding between mother and child during breastfeeding but also between men and women. It is also supposed to help generate feelings of trust as a result. It is the main component in certain pheromone sprays that are designed to create feelings of trust and connection. The problem with some early products seemed to be the short half-life that is mentioned in the article. Meo-est: Methoxyestratetraenone - this is an odd one - I think the consensus is that it makes women feel happy, safe, connected to the wearer. A lot of places sell it (and I have some) but there is still a question in some quarters about how safe it may be in the long run.
  17. What Lor said - If you are not using 'none every day you should not have a problem with 'none build-up. Oxy-clean is a good idea. Also scrub your application points well. I sorta do take some time off - but then again I am not really wearing them for self-effects ... And like Lor I can't say I personally have ever experienced negative effects from build-up but I have experienced the effects of too high a dose on certain occasions.
  18. LOL. This could get interesting ... pictures of your Sugar Gliders in your bra ...
  19. Now that I think about it, I believe you ladies mentioned this before in another thread. I guess it is kind of a bummer that some of the perfumes that are so popular eventually run out ...
  20. Wat up wit dat??? C - u can kinda sorta maybe teach an old dog text language ... well, at least the kids are trying ... lol.
