Guest Lor Posted June 6, 2009 Share Posted June 6, 2009 wet, this is very woody and fruity. absolutley gorgeous. the patchouli never came out to play with me though, but the over-all mixture is so strange that its enticing. it starts off almost mouthwatering and then dries into this enchanted woody/ melon scent. once its been on me for 30 minutes, the cedar takes over so i am giving mine up. i intuitively know that its the protective vibes of the cedar being amped because i need it now, those of you who know me know WHY, but even knowing that ( i love you, cedar. thank you,thank you....) i cant have it distracting me. sultry brunette Posted June 9, 2009 Share Posted June 9, 2009 The watermelon came out the strongest on me when wet. As much as I loved this in the bottle, the combo smelled strangely odd on my skin. Not horrible wash it off kind of odd, more like a "what is that strange scent" kind of odd. Intruiging, but not alluring. I am not sure what combo it is that is doing it. sadtomato Posted June 27, 2009 Share Posted June 27, 2009 i finally tried this one today. i have sooo many samples to get through! this is really a wonderful scent and i might have to get a bottle of this. i'm not usually a super fruity kind of girl, but...nummy...this is tasty. the watermelon was super duper strong on me at first and remains strong, but not overpowering, the whole time. after it warms up on my skin, though, i get a nice kick of cinnamon and a warm, woody cedar/patchouli thing going on that turns watermelon into something smokey, a bit spicey and a lot sexy. i was a bit hesitant about this blend and how the scents would mix, but...yeah...they mix great. it's really unique and very inticing and pretty. can't stop smelling myself with this one on. mmmmm. luna65 Posted July 1, 2009 Share Posted July 1, 2009 Thief is really interesting as an olfactory experience...I wasn't really thinking of it in terms of its' inherent magickal properties (I don't gamble and I've already got my mojo working, if you know what I mean) but I think the balance of the two families (sweet/gourmand and spice/woods) makes for a really evocative scent. I want to try this on Quince because I think it will smell great on him as well (although the strawberry/watermelon top note will probably freak him out at first and I'll have to make the sad kitteh face); interestingly the cinnamon is not too strong on me, it tempers the other components nicely. It strikes me as the kind of scent that I will wear when I'm in the mood for it, but it's too complex for just casual wear...which is a good thing overall, IMO. I got some from Djac (love you lady, I'm workin' hard for your money, so hard for it honey!) and even though it got stolen with the rest of my stash, I remember really liking this one. In fact, my jacket still smells lightly and I am loving it! I got so many compliments wearing this, one lady even walked up to me and said that I had "just brought the most wonderful fragrance over here" Watermelon is a great scent for me, I love it and in the summer I eat it almost everyday. I do smell some other things, but I am not good at deciphering "what" I am smelling. But they blend well together and you are left with unique and sweet smelling skin that will get you remembered! Now that I have some experience with Hoodoo oils, this formula is spot on for Fast Luck oil. I ended up doubling my money & since we stayed over at the casino, we just ate at the restaurants. I was in line for the the buffet w/ my little one (they charge full price for kids) & this couple behind us ended up buying our lunch (they had a food coupon worth enough to feed 4 people & if you don't use all of the coupon, you can't save the rest). Eastwood22 Posted November 4, 2017 Share Posted November 4, 2017 Oh, wow, this is a Lucky Spell type scent? I just put it on on top of some Beautiful Dreamer, I wanted to dress it up a tiny bit. I don't do terribly well with bright fruit scents, but this is lovely on me. If you have this and haven't worn it in a long time, try it again.
