    That Kind Of Girl....

Well this one doesn't like me at all. I've tried it 3 times in 2 days, and I always get the promise of creamy berries on a bed of wood while wet, but as soon as it dries I end up with screamin' sandalwood. Nothing else. Bummer.
  2. This is cute and light - a springtime scent for sure. I don't know how to describe it other than "girlie". Kind of tickles my nose. The berry in this comes across as very tart, and then the sweet notes are not syrupy sweet, but white. Remind me of the tart gummy candies. Tart sugar on top and sweet beneath.

    Ravished

Going on wet, Ravished hits me with a funny sort of candy scent. Not sure what that is. As it dries, I get almost a fizzy, effervescent feeling from it. At drydown, I can smell the ylang ylang. Not overpowering at all.
  4. The name reminds me of Les Liaisons dangereuses, BTW, one of my favorite novels. At first blast this is HELLO BERRY for me. I was a bit doubtful. But soon enough the creme and leather tamed those berries and it melded into a scent that crept up on me. I just kept going back to take another little huff. And another. Now the pheros may have contributed to this, as I enjoy myself some -none, but the scent once dried down was enticing. DH also went in a few times for an extra sniff. As with most things phero-amped in any way, he thought it smelled good...he's easy that way. This certainly is not a dark stalker scent but perfectly suitable for day wear or...personal time.
  5. So my backup samp arrive - I tried it out. A strong scent in keeping with the theme here. Very nice. DH - That's a good one. Reminds me of my grandma. **dead silence** Me - That's not exactly what I was going for here, babe. DH - No, she was elegant & sophisticated. That's very perfumey. I like it. **massive pouting** Luckily I had a licorice whip handy.
  6. I love all the LP variations, so this is an easy sell for me. The fruits are light and "cool", in keeping with the Silver moniker. After drydown I can surely detect the LP base, with a powdery dusting of...is that a spring snowfall, or silverleaf? It's LP, but with a lighter, cooler, higher note. I like!

    Temptasia

Ginger is definitely popular right now, and I don't particularly relish smelling like a spice rack. This goes way beyond that. I could hardly even pick out the spice notes here. It is smooth and yet eyeopening. Lovely blend with just the slightest sweet softness that I would guess is the floral/amber combo. It stays very close on me, and doesn't last much past an hour or two. It's ephemeral but beautiful.
  8. I begged and pleaded a sniffee of this. Now of course the minute I got the package home, I yanked it out and dabbled it on the DH. At first the gorgeous currant came out, then after about 1/2 hour it seemed to go all wonky. Granted, it may have been travel shock, and DH was wearing 5 different things at the time (he says sometimes he feels like the perfume version of a pin cushion). I was dashed. How could something with such marvelous notes go wrong. Next day, after DH left, I put a touch on my hand. WOWSERS. I fell in love with myself all over again. Whispered sweet nothings in my ear, baked myself a valentine's cake, told myself how beautiful I was... No really, I like this! I could wear it myself, though it does have a masculine edge. To me it smells like maleness, like a tailors shop. The touch of currant really plays well off of the mahogany, and it finishes off with tobacco - how can you go wrong? DH dashed off this morning already drenched in Bodice Ripper, but I'm going to corral him when he gets home. No matter - he may have to pry this out of my little claws.

    Cupidity

Soft little Cupid kisses is what I get here. Gentle but a tiny bit sassy. This I'll use for just snuggling up. And Beccah, congrats on renewing your vows!

    Heart of Fire

Bummer. Tea notes don't like me very much. That must be what is making this smell like Sweet-Tarts to me. Sweet Tarts that were in a sweaty gym shorts pocket and then stored in a spice rack... Well I can't win with all of them...

    FERAL

First blast on me ws "Holy Vetiver, Batman!" or something similar. Wonder where that came from? After a few minutes it settled into a lovely, balanced scent. Not really green to my nose, but soft and soothing. Sandalwood is very hit or miss with me, but I don't get soapiness or harshness. This is like a soft caress, with a hint of earthiness, but not GREEN. I was cautious because of the notes in this one, but it really blooms nicely on me. I'm sure DH would love it too, since vanilla and cedar really turn his crank.
  12. Honestly, I adore Sexology but every time I wear it my officemate walks by and offhandedly say "Weird, it smells like a cat pee'd in here." Every damn time. And every time I show her my wrist and ask her "Is this it?" and she says "Oh, yes, I guess it is." She's not being snide - she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. It just smells that way to her. Maybe a gene runs in your family and your ma and g-ma both interpret something in Sexology as Cat Urine. Could be the est, could be the civit musk, could be the combo of everything + cops, who knows. I'd just avoid wearing it around them, and count yourself lucky that it doesn't smell that way to you as well. To me, Juniper smells like tomcat marking (urine). I was in purgatory in Andalusia where every frakkin lot has juniper planted...drove my then-DH crazy, griping about the feral cat problem. Then I realized it was the evergreens. Christmas tree lots? The 9TH LEVEL OF HELL I tell you. Est is in practically everything, since it acts on most men effectively. EST-FREE: LAM, BAM, OCCO, Dominance, Swimming with Sharks, True Confessions, Open Windows, Woozy Floozy (straight a-nol). You'd have to ask about Stone's stuff. You could check out Diane's - hers all list components and/or she can whip up something for you. I like my custom from her - course it's loaded with est.
  13. SQUEEEE!!!!! Oh I hope it evokes that on me!! My packy left Denver - I might get it today.
  14. <sigh> Oh it sounds so gorgeous. I can hardly wait. As I sit here on a gloomy overcast day with flakes of snow falling softly - I want a breath of spring loveliness. Oh I hope it is like one of those March days when it isn't quite Spring, but you can feel the changing light - no longer the grey of winter, but coolly silvered with hints of the future.
  15. You know...he is a bit of a 'fumie 'ho.... May have to go paw through his goodies.... I can picture him sneaking around, huffin on the Tabby, getting that evil glint in his eye.
  16. I am excited - I got another sample of this because my other one went missing? was co-opted? disappeared? was eaten by kitties? If I remember right, I dug it and so did DH.
  17. Absolutely - I did the same damn thing. Well, I DO have a few scents i can wear in the meantime. If I search really hard I should be able to find something I can throw on....you know, in the interim.
  18. I hate to break it to you countess, S'gone. I very sad.
  19. Hi Madi! I think I know you from another site...you're looking for EOW aren't you? If you like a-nol and cops (so do I!) you really should try the LAM Vanilla Honey. It goes with everything - in fact I am wearing it today - I had forgotten I put some on along with all my other scents. The scent is there, but not intrusive so you can put whatever other perfume on that you like. And yes, I would definitely try samples of Pherogirl & Cuddle Bunny. As people have mentioned, LAM, OCCO and Beth's Blushing Milkmaid are available as bottles only, but if you are used to EOW, you will probably love any (and all) of those! Welcome aboard and let us know what you decide.
  20. **stalking the PE page...** This month I was only going to do samples... That didn't last very long.
  21. There is just so many things to choose from, both for you and for your wife. After all, you want to have some options for her to sniff on YOU too - she might fall in lust with one! If you want to send me your address I can send you a selection of samples. All sorts of different types as I'm all over the map with my tastes. Some that are suitable for man-types too. Shoot me an email - mine is in my profile. The hotmail one. Course, these will be "pre-trialed" samples, so I wouldn't consider them a Valentine's gift, but you both can have a sniff fest and get an idea of what's in store. Samples can last quite a few applications if you are not a heavy slatherer...mine last about 5 serious applications, many more if I am just testing them out. I am one of the 100+ gals...not to count samples. DH has 30 or so...it's a fun addiction.

    Evil in Carnation

Snoops - 5 spritzes of Wanted Man and you might have had to peel me off of you! Great story. Let us know how it goes when The Certain Woman gets a whiff of you. DH tried my little sniffee of Evil Incarnation...like he needs another scent... It reminds me of the carnation in a lapel. Traditional with a wink and an evil little grin.
  23. Yowzers I saw someone mention this in another thread and looked all over the perfumerie for it...now I can quit hiding my precious bottle from DH. Please invoice me for one bottle + True Confessions. I ain't skeerd o' no blabbermouth!
  24. Lor, I must say you are on a freakin' roll lately. What are you doing - mainlining Lace? Is there some comic phero mix I am missing out on?
