    Mellonia's Secret

I've sniffed this one in the vial a few times but I'm a whimp I don't dare put it on my skin. When I smell it in the vial the most dominant note that hits me is that honey note that's in Sugared Honeycomb & many of ShellyB's PE's...and that always turns into plastic play-dooh horribleness on me If it hadn't been for the honey in this one I reckon I would have loved it... totally up Rosebuds alley
  4. I've got a tub of the brown sugar scrub scented with JA's Sweet Winter Chai. I haven't tried it yet since I've got to get over my eczema flare before I got scrubbing cinnamon into my skin, but I'll report back as soon as I've tried it. I have tried Blasphemy's brown sugar scrubs though and they are fab! I prefer brown sugar to white partly because it's a bit coarser, but also because it contains natural AHA acids.
  5. I thought this one might be similar to Constant Cravings...both in terms of the scent & addiction potential. Wet this one was very spicy on me. It was a sharp & strong spice note so I thought that it might have been carnation but that's not in the description. It must be the sandalwood? I don't get any coffee or cocoa with this one, and I think the sharp spice note hides the cinnamon & cardamom initially. The harsh spiciness does mellow after drydown but it's still the dominant note, although it has been softened by what I assume must be the vanilla bean & sugar. The spice is also a bit richer/creamier when it's been softened so less in your face. I still can't make out the cardamom but there is a soft touch of cinnamon there. This one doesn't last very long on me. I have to really stick my nose on the application site 1 hour after application to smell it. I'm not sure about this one... I don't really like it initially (too spicy for me) but on drydown it's not bad And I have a feeling Mr Cheeky might really like this one...

    Lost Highway

Oh dear... I read the description for this one & then re-read it...I was that sure I had gotten the description of what I applied mixed up with some other scent... I get no carrot cake or buttercream at all during any of the phases of this one... I was very tempted to get a bottle unsniffed of this because it was desribed as a yummy foody scent, but I hesitated because of the carnation. I tend to amp carnation to the point where it kills any other notes, and it's a really sharp/strong scent on me that sometimes even gives me headaches because it's so overpowering. When I first applied it, I thought it was one of the scents that had some kind of smokey component to it and possibly a touch of cirtus/dill/pepper etc...because what I got was smoked salmon! Now don't get me wrong, I didn't smell of fish, just a lot like what smoked/cured salmon smells like. Very odd! I have no idea where those notes could have come from! "A spooky sweet toothed mix of carrot cake frosted with thick buttercream, the warmth of milky honey & beeswax musk, with haunting notes of carnation EO & light resins" As it dries down, whatever note it is that makes me think of smoked salmon fades & disappears. What I'm left with is a touch of spice (not sure if that's the carnation alone or possibly carrot cake spices?) ontop of a honey/beeswax scent. Funnily enough though this honey doesn't turn into horrible plastic play-dooh on me. It actually does smell like real sugary honey & beeswax! Very odd...I'm not sure what to make of this one
  7. This one is very nice. It's not the "take Rosebud by storm, go straight to Top 5 & induce crazy hoarding" scent I was expecting, but it IS vey lovely. I was expecting another foody/gourmand vanilla dream but this was very different! Wet & in the vial I totally get the yummy cake with a tiny touch of flowers...It's drool-worthy rich & creamy vanilla cake with a few petals on top. Once it dries on my skin however the foody vanilla cake fades. Instead I get a morphed version of what I initially sniffed... The richness of the vanilla cake mellows to a soft & creamy note of cream with just the tiniest hint of vanilla to it. The floral also comes out a touch more. It's now a very soft & creamy floral, but still not a floral scent if that makes sense. Other than violets & roses, I don't like floral scents that are just floral, they are often too strong & "in your face" perfumey for me, but this one isn't like that at all. Unless you take a few deep sniffs close to the application point & really try to pick out the various notes you wouldn't pin this one as a floral scent. Despite the lack of vanilla as a dominant note, I think this one would be really good as a work scent for me. It's soft, creamy & feminine which I like, but also since it's such a mellow (yet long lasting!) scent, I really don't see how it could be offensive to anyone or break any of the "no perfumes at work" rules... Very nicely done!
  8. Is it anything like Mara's Rocket Fuel? Brown sugar goodness with a dollop of pink sugar? Pretty please???

    Top Five

My current 5 favourites * Constant Cravings (Yeah...that'll never change ) * Garland & Lace Original ( ) * Mara's Rocket Fuel * L's Gingerbread Pumpkin * JA's Sweet Winter Chai Very closely followed by K's Pumpkin Tropique, E's Crystal Sugar Web & LP Red Oh...and I have high hopes for Whoopsy Daisycake & Spontaneous Combustion
  10. I just LOVE this one! When I first got it I wasn't blown away as it was mainly intense coconut on me, but then I tried it boosted with phero's which altered the scent slightly... I absolutely love it with phero's added because that's when I get the yummy pumpkin come through and blend with the coconut
  11. The unscented do still have some scent but it's not really what I'd call a musky scent. I'm not scent expert, but the phero's withouth cops or betanols (which are both noticeable) smell more of the diluant than of phero's. All you can do is try them I suppose. The UNscented phero's aren't available as samples, but the scented ones are. You can find them in the gift shop
  12. Allergies is a very tricky subject, and also a very broad one with an incredible amount of individual variation so it would be impossible for us to tell you what you could or couldn't wear. When you say you have allergic problems what do you actually mean? Red & stinging skin? A rash? Scents triggering wheeziness or asthma? If it's an issue of your skin being very sensitive then as a general rule of thumb I'd say be a bit careful with scents that contain cinnamon as that can be irritating, or anything else that you know from experience has caused you itching or skin irritation. I have A LOT of allergies myself, as well as very sensitive and extremely dry skin. I have problems using regular spray perfumes mainly because the alcohol is irritating and drying on my skin, but very few of the scents here have every caused me any problems. On the contrary, I love the oil perfumes as my skin is so dry they are soothing/moisturising rather than drying. There has only every been 1 scent that made my skin a bit stingy and itchy, and one which made me wheeze (I have asthma). I've never had a problem with the phero's in any form be that the oil, or the DPG one, un-scented or scented. I'm not sure what you mean with what we wear for most bang for the buck...ALL the phero's are very good mixes, and very concentrated/potent, it just depends on what you are looking for in a phero in terms of effects. The only advice I can give you is to try things in sample sizes in small amounts to see how you react to them
  13. It's probably the amber in the mix... I don't get those types of comments with LP Red but I do get it when I wear Sugared Amber, and it's even happend once with Mara's Rocket Fuel People ask if I can smell anything burning, or who's burning incense... I can't smell it myself though, I just think I smell luuurvely LOL
  14. I tried this one last night. It's a very beautiful & light scent. On me it's like a lighter version of Les Sommiel des Anges. It doesn't really have a dominant note to my nose...all the notes blend really well so there's no single scent that takes over. Unfortunately it doesn't last long on my skin. I don't know if that's because the scent is so light so it fades or if my skin just eats it straight away.
  15. OCCO wouldn't really give you a boost in the verbal department though....It's just cops...and lots of it It's do one thing for the lads and that's up the testosterone levels. It's all about sex
  16. This one is very beautiful & feminine.... Very soft musk with added notes that I can't quite define... Either a sweet but soft floral, or a mix of fruit & floral without being fruity if that makes sense This one would work just as well at home for a "snuggly night in" as it would paired with an evening gown or for work if you aren't allowed "strong" perfumes

    FADE TO BLACK

I wasn't expecting to like this one because I don't do well with deep resins or woodsy scents... But I really liked it. In the vial & on initial application it was very much like LP Black, but after drydown it changed to a rich & just slightly dark brown sugar Absolutely lush! But after half an hour or so it's all gone! My skin has totally eaten it all up, there's nothing left

    SHADOW DANCE

I don't understand.... Where is the lush amber & vanilla??? I get a harsh smokey/bbq-ish wickerchair scent I'm at a crackin hog roast here ladies, but where the heck is my vanilla dessert eh??
  19. I had a similar response to this one....2 notes that dominate. I had nothing but fruit in the vial but once applied on my skin I had an explosion of violets. Now, I'm like Dolly... I adore my violets, so I really liked the intense violet, but after 15 mins or so it fades and the second note comes to front.... A really strong, tart fruit scent, very much like what I get with That kind of girl & Dangerous games I get no violet at all after drydown... It's a sad day for Rosebud
  20. Rosebud

    Bayou Musk

I get NO vanilla...not even a li'll bit All I get is perfumey soap...a nice perfumey & slightly floral soap, but soap none the less Methinks it will have to go to the trading post
  21. Is this one super gingery (like Sugared Gingerbread is on me ) or is it more soft like Garland & Lace?
  22. Maybe his behaviour was a reflection of the hormonal confusion that must be going on in his body? If he is still transitioning, even though he's emotionally female, his body is hormonally still male but with a heavy load of female hormones ontop. Do you think it's possible that the hormonal remnants of the male in your client reacted to the cops and the behaviour was a result of his/hers confusion to this?
  23. Yup I've done that before... I slathered myself in OCCO White 2x just because I adore the vanilla in that blend... People were being very odd...not quite avoiding me, but they were staring at me, both men & women. Not in the way men normally do (like they like what they see or are imagining me naked), but they were staring at me with odd expressions like they couldn't figure me out, or they thought I was weird. Not a single person spoke to me or smiled at me. The only other time I've noticed the odd looks was when I was testing pure AndrostErone with no social or feminine phero's as buffers...I assumed it was because I was sending out very male vibes and that obviously wasn't congruent with my appearance.
  24. Here it is; http://lovepotionperfume.com/store/Specials.html It's in the Specials section of the giftshop
  25. Did you read my report on Lace & LAM? Veeerrry nice effects LOL I've also tried Lace & OCCO white on Mr Cheeky... similar, very nice results
