    Bridezilla

I've had such bad luck with this one. First I opened it when I got my package in my car, and the lid - the new kind, without the wand - fell out of my hands and behind the seat somewhere. I searched and search and couldn't find it! Found $2 the previous owner must have left behind, but I would have traded it for my lid! So I stuck some sticky tape over the top of the vial and stood it up in the door of my car, planning to decant it into a spare bottle when I got home. But I didn't get home for a few days, by which time it had fallen over and most of it had leaked out. Not to mention I had to park my car in the sun, and even though it is winter the car still warmed up quite a bit in the sun and I suspect it may have changed the scent. Anyway, I got into my car after this and was like... OMG what is that AMAZING smell? Surely that can't be my pot pourri bag (organza bag with cotton wool soaked in Anti Piggy and a few others hanging from my rearview mirror)? But it was the Bridezilla. Now this description may be a bit off because of the unusual way I was introduced to the smell, but to me it was like a nicer version of Passion in Pink - more rosey, less peppery, but with the same quality. It is a really delicious smell, and somehow it works really well in my car! So I wiped up as much of this as I could with cotton pads and put them in the pot pourri collection in the organza bag. Really loving the smell in my car, but I feel this sample of Bridezilla was wasted all the same. I will have to be on the lookout for some more.
  2. Citronella soap... now that's a good idea! All the great ideas I get from reading these forums, it's wonderful Snowflake, what happened to your pretty avi??
  3. Well you know what they say... those who stalk together, stay together...
  4. I don't think I ever ended up posting my full review of this! Well, here it is Joint review of Perfect Match UN phero blend and Portmanteau, which is Perfect Match in fragrance. Pheromone ingredients: beta androstenol, alpha androstenol, androsterone, epiandrosterone, androstadienone, DHEA Price: Got both as freebies in various trades, so ZILCH for me! But normally standard Love Potion prices - $5 for sample, $29.95 for full bottle, $39.95 for UN bottle. I'm about to buy an UN bottle and tossing up between silicon base at $39.95 or upgrading to a spray for $44.95. Presentation: Cute label on Portmanteau, very classy and old school romance style. Perfect Match is simple and sweet as well. Smell: As far as I can tell, so far I don't detect any smell from the UN phero. As for Portmanteau - I'll admit, the smell has grown on me. I didn't care for it much at first - too green and masculine smelling. Fortunately it's quite subtle and I only use a tiny bit, and I feel it wears close to the skin plus it's easy enough to cover with a spritz of something else. It's ok as a scent, it just doesn't exude the overt femininity or juicy deliciousness I usually like out of my scents. Results: This will be a different kind of review, because I've been analysing this phero blend and what I think are its results on one person in particular. To that end I've read extensively on these products and want to start by copying the notes other people have made that I resonate with the most. These are NOT my words, but they are my experience. Well it did create a loving, cuddly, totally "I am so into you" vibe. It generated a whole cuddly snuggem's unrelated to sex. I unexpectedly ran into my crush... the second he hit my "smell zone," his demeanor changed. Soft and gentle voice... We chit chatted about absolutely nothing for nearly 20 minutes and were absolutely delighted to do so. It was sort of the equivalent of verbal snuggling, lol. He kept repeating things we'd already talked about in an obvious effort to keep the conversation going. I walked away feeling like we'd just had the deepest conversation ever, content, and very happy. And he did too, judging by a message i got later. we get on GREAT, really well and except in one case, those guys have then never wanted to see me again. The other's turning his whole life around. Why is it useful I hear you ask?? Because I think it speeds up the commitmentphobic reaction and weeds out the assholes faster. One friend gives me a very doe eyed look like she's in love (but her behavior doesn't change much except for some more hair twirling). Another becomes more touchy feely with me. They act more like I'm a guy they may see as a potential romantic partner. Little behavioral changes as opposed to jumping me in a sexual way. More subtle but more lovey dovey. Not sexual really, just wide-eyed, smiley appreciative DIHLs, double & triple takes, but not in a omg celeb! way like Cougar- more like their long lost first love. Total strangers are smiling and saying hi More detailed reports of my experiences wearing this blend can be found in my journal on PT, I won't post them all here or this post will be even more ridiculously long than usual. Essentially, as far as effects on others go, I believe this one actually does create a feeling of "being in love", or at least feeling love for the person wearing it. I don't just mean that first love, infatuation, you're-so-wonderful feeling (which it certainly does have), but also just appreciating the other person. Like when you're drunk and feeling all "I love you guys!" with your friends As I mentioned I've been using it particularly with one person, a crush I have had for years, and I feel like it has sped things along in that direction in a way I've been trying to all this time. I don't think it is necessarily a sexy or sexual blend. I got less sexual hits from this among people other than my particular target than I did from, say Rocket Fuel III. My take on it is that it has the ability to make people feel love or attraction for you as a person, but this can be anywhere from "I want to jump your bones right now" to "You're a great person, I love you like a sister/brother". I can see it being used very effectively by someone looking for a serious relationship, not as a pick-up. Or just when you want to feel that those in your life appreciate you. I adore this blend and so far it's unlike anything else I've tried. Wonderful stuff.
  5. Yep, that's correct Well it is 631 now anyway. It changed at about 595 and then at about 600. Oh well, I get extra rank names
  6. I've also heard eating a lot of vitamin B can be helpful. Not sure how true any of these are but worth a try!
  7. And it changed again less than 10 posts later Now I'm Ziggy Stardust
  8. That was my experience too Snowflake! Awful one day, nice the next. Maybe it is a cycle thing?
  9. Welcome! I'm sure you'll find the right product for you here I agree with Rosebud about the postage charges, I am in Australia and after ordering from other companies I was so surprised by the charge that came up for postage when I first ordered that I emailed Mara asking if it was a mistake!! It's very cheap here compared to the prices some other places charge. I'm sure Mara must actually lose money on overseas orders like mine, so I try to put in fewer big orders rather than lots of small orders to make up for it.
  10. I just can't figure this one out. When I first tried it on I really didn't like it. All amber and yuck. I even put it straight on the trade thread, figuring it was probably never going to work for me. But I got curious and tested it out again today, and it wasn't so bad. I had a male friend smell it and he said he really liked it. He's been telling me I shouldn't wear spicy scents, but he smelled this and said it was "softly spicy", and worked on me. It is definitely strongly sexy and dirty and musky. Maybe I should hang onto it after all.
  11. Oooh Mara, what is your current favourite "everyday" scent??
  12. LadyV, after reading this I think I need to give this one another go!
  13. Hmm... comments like this make me think maybe I should rethink the dating site thing... better off just meeting people in real life!
  14. I don't like lavender either, yet I love this. I wouldn't let the lavender put you off.
  15. Mara, you must be a mindreader! Just yesterday I was thinking about Soulmate and PM and wondering what the difference was, as I have both and was thinking of giving Soulmate a spin. I even read through all the Soulmate reviews and was going to ask the question but didn't quite get around to it. And here you are, giving me the answer! How on earth did you know
  16. LOL Skye you made me snort out loud with that!
  17. Lol Xev I chuckled at the idea of Occo God .... then chuckled some more at the "regular offering"!
  18. Ooh, my rank name has changed even though I haven't reached a 100 post milestone yet? Neat!
  19. This is chilled, cool summary fruits. Lemony and berry. I agree with the iceblock thing. Delicious!
  20. This one is the closest LP smell to Pink Sugar I have found. It is softer and has the note I love from PS in it, much more so than LP Pink does. I really can't pinpoint what it is exactly, but it's lovely. I like to put this oil on, then spritz some Pink Sugar over the top - I think I get the good diffusion as well as the long wear that way. Glad I got a bottle of this!
