Ladies - what do you order for your guys?
Pony replied to quietguy's topic in New Release Chat and Info
MERLIN - this is a sleeper scent. Everytime DH puts it on, without fail I ask "Oh! What is that?" It is a very nice masculine "power" scent...and I never remember it. Strange. DH wears a LOT of LP - his selection is heavy on the unisex scents, but he has vials of every Men's scent as well. Personally, he leans toward green or woodsy. Is a slave to cedar. Let's see.... Rajah, Flapper, Sweet Revenge, Dark Seductions, Native Soil, NOX are a few of his favorite unisex scents. Elementary, Dominance are probably his fave daytime men's scents. Or he'll hit Bubble or Northshore for a fresh light feel. I personally love Woodland Man & SUPER on him. Wow...now that I think about it he has a lot of fragrances and wears them all, different intents. -
This I bought for DH, as it has a lot of good notes for him. He was also interested in the intent. Tried it out last night and it is VERY nice - different form his usual woody or green favorites. An optimistic scent... He wore it today for a meeting and to help steer his day in the right direction.

Hmmm...what am I wearing lately. In no particular order 1. Les Sommeil des Anges 2. Hathor 3. LP Winter 2009 4. Liberty Belle 5. LP Pink

SWB - "the big clue-by-four" has now been added to my vocabulary, permanently.

Wet this is sweet and faintly patchouli, the grapefruit, surprisingly, sits in the background and just gives it a suggestion of freshness. After a bit, it becomes a very fresh and clean smell, almost soapy but not quite laundry. I think that might be related to the SWS phero, since Breaking the Ceiling did that to me too. Now the grapefruit & patchouli are playing nice, and the sweet of the honey is only a hint. Very nice, a clean and fresh scent, very congruent for prosperity. Can't speak to the pheros yet, as I am testing it here all alone on a Friday afternoon. Edited: DOH! How come my search missed this? DOH.

That is really interesting information, Lor. My first inclination would have been a-nol, as others said. But your observations seem to ring true - if you are the alpha in control of the situation, they should want to please you. Very interesting. -
OK I am all over frank'n'myrrh, in any scent. But what a wonderful combo here! The light soft florals are sweetened and then deepened just a touch, giving them more roundness and quieting the FLORAL roar. After a while I get an unfamiliar greenish scent - that must be the bamboo. Almost a wood, but not quite. This is just so very pretty and summery!

:flutterby-mad: Didn't let that slip by me...Elevation? I'm ready for a ride to the top of the Empire State Building! About time for another A-nol punch. My Happy Water is runnin' on fumes. -
Hmmm....don't know whether I am a LAM or a BAM or a BLAM, but I am definitely a dirty dirty girl. I like the smell of the cops. Of course I opened the bottle of LAM and took a big sniff....doh...that was a bit strong. Hey, maybe it is scent association, but I like that slightly unwashed morning after aspect. And lord knows DH is a fan - the only cops cover he didn't care much for is Pherogirl. I wore LAM yesterday about my neck and shoulders and I was full of myself all day...I was pretty convinced that I was The Bomb. Forgot all about the LAM until I got home and DH snarfled my neck and tried to seat me on the dishwasher....yeah, it's just...rising steam and...well... I plan to order BAM ASAS (as soon as sale) b/c I am a b-nol lover. It kind of softens my sharp edges, so to speak.

Well howdy Toucan Sam! Wet, this is Fruit Loops. I have a really strong scent memory of Fruit Loops, evidently, because another perfume last year triggered the same reaction. Dry, Toucan Sam flies away (kinda makes me sad - I adore the Fruit Loops smell) and I am left with a musky spicy little number - I like it but I'll have to give it a by-itself all day wearing to tell more.

This strongly reminded me of Nakai Nectar. Lots of fruity melony-ness. I was confused by the "sea-scent" description as I didn't get any of that. On drydown it is a lighter scent on me though. Same feel as NN - obviously the sexy cops. Do I need to add that this is DH's fave of the new releases? Yup, picked it right out of the 10 different scents on my arm....the man is a walking copulin detection device.

Oh this one likes my skin! Yay! In the vial I got slightly bitter chocolate, and I sighed. Not a big fan of smelling like chocolate. But on the skin, I don't get any chocolate at all. Just a lightly sweet florally scent - it's violet but dainty, not dark. A touch of creamy whipped baker's sugar, perhaps, and almost a lemony note. I like this one a lot! Editted b/c I looked at the description - ah! yes, almond. I am not a girl who likes a lot of almond but it really sets off the sweet violet here. Yum.

Happy fruity bright summer fragrance. I don't get overpowering strawberry - it blends together on me into a general tropical feel. This was a hit with the DH - he is a big fanboy of fruity perfumes. He finds them very sexy. Jungle Colada was no exception.

Now that is one hot & tangy grapefruit mama!

This morning I was deeply mourning the loss of my SS4W (I broke my bottle!). I just needed some today, and I only have it mixed in perfumes now. And, of course, in my current mood, I didn't feel like wearing any of those perfumes... SS4W is/was my alltime fave so far, and I eagerly await the mysteriously sexy Pheromone X....bring it on!

Wow. Now see I always look at it and think: why do I want to be focused. How boring.... But now I am thinking maybe when I go to my weekend competition, and I have to get the horses ready and myself all set up and then spend 6 hours out there competing....hmmm....this might be a good idea after all. I tend to get a little over-excited and all scattered. Chicken, no head. Wonder if I can put it on my horse's muzzle too...she's a scatterbrain....just kidding...sort of

ROAR. or maybe purr. I saw the notes in this and thought it might be sparkly and fun. DH loves him some grapefruit....and if DH likes, I like!

La Vie De Boheme
Pony replied to ivy_fiddlefox's topic in Women's Pheromones & Phero Fragrance Reviews
This is certainly the most valuable testimonial for an "intellectual" blend I have ever read. Kissing of body parts = manly intellectual exercise. Got it. -
Wow I am evidently Opposite Girl. Well EOW goes first, that has to dry. I put on perfume. Then just before I leave I stripe on my pheros. Different pheros don't overlap, but most often I only apply one blend at a time. This applies to the LP phero blends in CP...

OK so I was not the only one who looked up a recipe for the pastry....hehehe.... although pastry is way beyond my skill set. Mmmm I have a love/hate relationship with violets. I can't wait to try this one!

DH smells really good in this one. "Creamy green" describes it perfectly. And he likes the renewal attibutes.

At first application this was very much like a straight champa flower attar on me, very clear. But after a few the frank n myrrh came to the fore and it was a nice, very slightly sweet, smooth & resinous blend. I quite liked it. You can't hardly go wrong with frank n myrrh as far as I'm concerned, and champa is another favorite. Nice.

This is a lovely soft rose, sweet and not overpowering. I wore it yesterday and lavishly reapplied several times, since it was not a shouting kind of scent. I would say texturally it is sort of creamy, or milky rose. Comforting and yummy too.
-
Wearing this today and I really like it. I got soapy at first too, but after a while it settles down to a very pretty, springtimey floral, with a soft musky undertone. Perfect for this time of year.

I wash bottles and accessories in warm soapy water, rinse well and then let them sit in witch hazel for a day or two - I've found witch hazel to work the best, especially on the stubborn plastic parts that hold scent. Pipettes are much harder, usually I just throw them out and after one use. Sometimes I wash soapy water and then witch hazel through the bigger ones several times and then let them sit with WH in them. But it's a lot of effort.
