That's very interesting. I love to use Cuddle Bunny unscented for WORK, mind you. It makes me feel...softer and more approachable. People often refer to me as "intimidating" - until they know me well. Cuddle Bunny softens that edge nicely. And the effect on my boss, who is a big amiable type, is noticable. He's much less twitchy around me, less intimidated. Even officemates have commented on days I have worn it that he seemed particularly cheery... Now SS4W - I feel I have a little extra strut with that. Oddly, I rarely wear it for work though. Today I am wearing DYG, which is my groovy groove thang. I notice it also has the tetrahydrodeoxycorticosterone that SS4W has...not sure but I think that is the "big ole lasting impression" ingredient.... True Confessions hasn't really caught my attention. I like Instant Honesty, which is primarily b-nol, but DYG seems to fill that relaxation role nicely. Treasured Hearts is on my list...just haven't gotten around to it yet. Edited b/c I just read AIL's last post: That sounds FANTASTIC. I must try that!

:banana006: Welcome! Wade on in and allow us to enable your addiction! I have a collection of eastern oils, too. Probably nothing like yours, though! I do like some oudh now and then... Have you ordered yet? I'm dying to find out what you think of LPs - they are quite different from those you mention, and I find they have an identifiable "feel" to them.

Luna is answering as I type this, I think. Keep in moderately cool dark place, but not refrigerated. Mara also mentioned that the pheros help preserve the oils even longer. She mentioned something like 3 years - they are incredibly stable. I store mine in a wooden box on my vanity. Downside - I can't see the pretty labels.

Well I am going to put this on my sample list to try. The description didn't stand out to me, so I hadn't given it a thought, but I can use all the positive workaday vibes I can get... And it always seems the ones I overlook are those I end up loving best.

magikmaiden, that's a cool report! I think it's wonderful to make someone feel that way...wouldn't it be nice if we were all that unguarded all the time...<sigh>.

So I recently snagged a sample of this. DH immediately swiped it from me upon seeing the label. So far he has worn it 3 times and it is HYPNOTIC on him. Just plain gorgeous! A tiny swipe lasts all day and develops into a scent that I can only explain as...hypnotic. The copal and oudh combined are a smooth, shaded woodsy feel. I can't really pick out the narcissus, but it must soften the woods. I was ill this weekend, and I came downstairs and DH was sitting in his office on the computer, with a heater blowing on his feet. It has heated the perfume up and the whole room had this lovely smell. I found myself sitting in a chair in his room just staring out at the winter garden... I tried it on myself later, but sadly, as is usually the case, what is divine on DH morphs into a ghastly sin on me. I smelled like cheap laundry soap. I'm on the prowl for another vial of this, as he is going to make good use of it.

I was feeling poorly last night, and I picked through my samples and came out with this one. It is a soothing scent for bedtime, at least for me. And CC - you are not crazy - it does indeed have a drydown element that is EGG...confused me too. But a little less sweet on me.

Christine kindly sent me a sniffie of Sin City, as well as some amped with Dominance. It is a very heavy attar-y blend. Just the tiniest drop was enough, and really overwhelmed me for about 1/2 an hour. After drydown I found the smell pleasant, but just not me at all. It remind me of my straight natural attars. Now my co-worker, who is very into the heavy blends, absolutely insisted I let her try it as soon as she smelled it on me. I did and it smelled fantastic on her. She wore it yesterday & today, and also shared it with one of the integrative therapists in our building. For them, it's scent-nirvana!

Oh this really is for FEBRUARY (I am easily confused).... Ruh Roh, Shaggy. I am spotting a bunch...and I was going to skip a few monthly packs to get caught up on other scents....oh well maybe next month then. Now back to the beginning of the thread to obsess over the labels again...

Nightlife - if only there were unwanted bottles...<sigh> I never get to wear this because it is one of DH's faves. It's a beautiful scent, faint floral on top and after an entire day it wears to a soft ambery "skin scent." Of course now it will forever remind me of my husband.

Ok - now I've tried it... On wet it smells like Pez or sweetarts. The pear comes out a little as it dries, but it's still very candylike. To me the cardamon (which I love) is very subtle. Maxine, that drink sounds fantastic! Does the perfume capture it?

Oh luna, I giggled at your stream of consciousness review. I understand it completely, by the way. I have nothing useful to add...

I am an insufferable tea snob - and very particular about my jasmine pearls - with the very lightest oolong oxidation...gently wrapped about a single sambac bud. I'll give the Queen a solo trial to appreciate Danna's artistry there... I usually avoid tea notes as they seem to be Tide detergent notes on me more often than not...I have high hopes.

It was you, you burning a hole right through that ceiling...

I love JALN! Wearing it right now... Got my other sample of SUPER perfume, tried it again. Yup, metallic icky taste on the back of my tongue...same as before. Aging didn't help it any. Sad sad me.

CUDDLE BUNNY. No surprise there. But my unscented Cuddle Bunny is my fave unscented. I wear it to work because I become everyone's darling. I am like a soft lil bouncing bunny...(you would so be ROFLYAO if you knew me...) Ironically, I adore my 4 perfumes amped with SS4W, but I don't own it unscented... SS4W makes me pout my lips, and I feel like I am the hottest thing in town. PP gives me a headache - if I get hits my head hurts too much to notice...

Hi Ninjabug! Pherogirl is a lovely scent, but the cops somewhat limit it's use in that they are intended for sexual attraction. There is so much more to pheros than that. Something like Happy Water has alpha-androstenol in it, which will give both you and those around you a happy, upbeat feeling. Uncomplicated, smells good, and should let you see an identifiable result. Drop Your Guard is one of my favorite mixes here - Dolly got it right - it's "groovy, baby"...a laid-back and contented vibe. It's in Synchronicity, if you can find a samp of that. The phero-amped perfumes can be had in $5 samples, as starlitegirl said. Give a couple a go - if you don't like them, we'll take them off your hands in a trade for sure. The unscented mixes all have a pleasant subtle aroma (as opposed to those from elsewhere I have tried that really truly stink...) and are great for using alongside any perfume of your choice. Descriptions are all pretty accurate to what you will experience, I think. That is a larger investment right off the top though, unless you can hitch on with someone doing a decant. You might want to start with some of the amped perfumes first. Hits are a very subjective, subtle thing. It is almost like...an extension of your body language. Once you quit looking for a reaction from everyone in the room, you will begin to notice differences in the way people react to you - boom, HIT! Have fun with it!

Argh! Can't wait to test it out on myself during my kill-all-humans PMS. DH wore this this weekend, and today as well. He likes the smell of this one (always a plus) and I find it very attractive. I just want to kind of cuddle. He even commented on how affectionate I was.... He's wearing it today b/c poor thing works in a pit of estrogen vipers, and I told him it might prevent some of the poisonous, dripping fangs...we'll see what he reports back.

This is super as I was just snuffling my unscented mixes yesterday and wondering if I should begin to hoard those Pharmacon versions that I LOVE before they sell out...but I wondered if they would last, as I don't go through them that fast. This is really very good news.

I am inexplicably in love with this one. When I wear it I can't stop huffing my arm, there is something smooth and deep under the surface that I just want to bury myself in. If you asked me what it is, I wouldn't be able to say... DH likes it (on me - not for himself) so I may begin a hoarding campaign.

Today I am trying this one on the sleeves of my sweater, so it won't touch my skin. Four hours in and it is still the gorgeous grapefruit and rich currant, with just a touch of warm sweetness. I really love this one. Like others have said, grapefruit is a huge mood elevator, and it is a bright, forward scent all way around.

Countess - well now that's a positive report if I ever read one.... To give this one it's due on a by-itself trial, I wore it this weekend while out with DH and he definitely liked it. It was at first very softly apricot, then it went through the BI drydown and finally was a soft, slightly fruity scent. I knew I smelled lovely, and tried to hit on my reflection in a mirror a time or two... It's a surprisingly dainty and light scent, I thought, for a Love Potion variant. Glad I have a bottle.

To me SUPER for Women (the perfume) was sharply metallic and distinctly yuk. It didn't work. Now I just got another sample - I'm going to try it again and see if time has changed anything. But I don't think it's the phero....in my case I have 3 others with SS that I adore: Honeyed Seductions, JALN, and Rocket Fuel...it's one of my fave phero mixes, but the buttercreamy-cakey promise of SUPER never materialized for me.
