hearts
Despite the papaya and coconut cream, this does not smell tropical as I pictured. Not at all. I'm getting a big blooming magnolia with a creamy whisper of coconut. It smells like floral soap, like I just stepped out of the shower. The mag is threatening to go pointy... But so far, so good. I love clean scents and Lumina gives awesome selfies. This might be on the FB list as long as the magnolia behaves herself and doesn't poke my eyes later. StacyK
Oh I can't wait to try this one. Unfortunately I don't get much from Lumina. But I love Maras magnolias.
luna65
I'm getting a big blooming magnolia with a creamy whisper of coconut. Yeah that's pretty much how it is for me as well. It's a sweetened magnolia for me, which is easier for me to take than if it were not, but magnolia is not really my thing, as far as white florals go. But those who do like it will enjoy wearing this one. The drydown is really soft and skin-hugging I think because it's all mid-notes.
Black Cat
I was not expecting to love this one, because florals are generally not my thing, but holy wow! The magnolia is spectacular, and something about the papaya/coconut cream combo is really rocking my world. I get the sweetness of the fruit but smoothed out by the creaminess of the coconut and the whole thing is lush and white and a bit tropical but a bit not. This needs a full test run on its own SOON. StacyK
This is very pretty after dry down. But, just when the scent blooms and I really start to enjoy it, it fades off quickly. Probably about 30-40 min of wear then it's all but gone. I'll keep my trial and play with it a bit more. But, I don't think this will be a FB. My skin tends to need scents with a clingy base note for any type of longevity.
Black Cat
Oh, sorry to hear it, StacyK! I'm giving this its solo run tonight and may have sold myself on a full bottle. It quiets down for me in the drydown but a few hours in I'm getting a perfectly melded coconut-magnolia with a fruity twist. It's close but dense and palpable, creamy and lush-- feels like it would come as grown-up and sophisticated enough for a glam night out when added to fancy dress, but that it could also comfortable and easy enough for daytime wear. I'm really coming to appreciate what a perfect fit this is for Lumina (for me!). I am also realizing that if I wear this around my mom, she is pretty certain to steal at least the sample, perhaps the bottle if I wind up getting one, so I'll have to be mindful! rain_dancer
I love magnolia, and I love this scent. I mostly get the magnolia in this, which is one of my favorite scents. Magnolia, on my skin, stays and stays until it's practically sandblasted off which is fine by me. Magnolia is too summery for me to wear right now, though. Once it's summer again..oh, about mid-March (ha, I live in the south), I will give this a proper public wearing.

I love PM' s magnolias. My favs, Molls Blue Magnolia & Fairy Cake. Usually the florals slick to me. I'll definitely be trying again. You made it sound so good. livinlavidacabo
I was wearing this yesterday and had a more mature woman that knows me, come up to the table we were sitting at and started to get upset with my husband, and then apologized to me as I did not know what the problem was ... she was "whisper scolding" him for bringing "some teenager" with him LOL Oh I love that woman. Funny thing is it happened while I was showing pictures from my phone to another woman of my GROWN children. This probably belongs in the UN thread but had to share ... I adore this scent so much I got a FB coming and now I am grateful because I didn't realize just how awesome this phero was until last night. The papaya amps on me but thankfully it's more of the Hawaiian sweet red kind because I was worried ... I'm not a fan of mex papaya. The Magnolia on me, was barely there as is blended smoothly as it dried down with the coconut cream. Husband loves coconut so he couldn't stop sniffing me nor holding my hand. WINNER! Witty Kitty
This is pretty but I'm not sure if the magnolia might be a bit too much since the papaya and coconut fade so much on me. Still have to test Lumina when I go out though.
SpriteLeigh
Now that I have a bottle of this in my collection, I can openly rave for my love of this scent! To echo hearts review, this is not tropical, but it is the most soft, fluffy clean laundry smell that I can totally get away with at work since we have a new head boss that HATES fragrance in my workplace. And I have been giving the phero a good test run as well, since I thought it didn't do anything for me, and no one else. Well, I am happy to report that I am getting hits and selfies from this! It is "cougar lite" as described, so it doesn't piss off the women who are dominant, but it does make them a fair bit chattier and accommodating, and it makes me happier and chattier as well. There is one co-worker who always seeks me out when I'm wearing anything with Lumina, and she is the one who complains about fragrance! Total win! Patchjulie
Wow, I like this one! I got a sniffie of this with my last order. Magnolia's iffy on me, and I'm not sure I would have tried it had I not received the sample; like gardenia, I enjoy the scent, but they tend to amp on my skin and overwhelm the other notes. Here I think the papaya and coconut cream help it to behave. On me this is very tropical, a creamy fruity floral. While I've never been to Hawaii, this fragrance transports me there. This will be perfect in the summer. I can't comment on the phero; I don't have much experience with Lumina and I'm actually more interested in the fragrance right now. I was only planning on buying a sample of this since, lavender aside, I'm not much of a floral gal. But the longer I wear it, the more I like it. It'll be a stretch to add a full bottle to my already sizable upcoming order, but I'm seriously considering it.
The Baroness
Beach/tropical scents aren't "me" usually, but this really is a lovely one. So sweet and summery and beautifully blended. "Luscious" is the adjective that springs to mind. It's a real mood lifter on a gray winter's day.
androstenol
I really like this one as a softer alternative to Pherodise with Lumina. Pherodise is so awesome for summertime, it really blooms with the heat. This one I associate more with spring, possibly office-friendly if worn lightly, possibly first-date friendly when you're not sure how much scent you really want to surround yourself with. I've worn this out to a restaurant, it stayed very close but still gave me those selfies I love: feel more social, feel happy, feel like I'm glowing. And I would describe the scent as a light creamy floral. I keep reaching for my sample, which tells me I need a FB !
brookejones
As a rule, I hate floral perfumes. That seems to have changed since I came here :-) This one is all coconutty magnolia georgeousness. I don't smell any papaya, but this is ah-may-zing! The coconut sweetens the magnolia and keeps it from going all stabby and sharp. The floral aspect of the magnolia tones down the coconut and keeps it from smelling like suntan lotion...although there is nothing wrong with that :-) Again, this one gives me a crazy scent memory. One of my favorite places on this earth is my aunt's lake house. She has the most beautiful place. In the spring, I like to go out on the water in the boat and take pictures of the house, dock, and hillside. The hillside is covered in pink and white dogwood trees...and...you guessed it..,magnolia trees! If we are having a special event, I get magnolia flowers and float them in crystal bowls for centerpieces. This one just reminds me of one of those days spent on the lake...hence the coconut suntan lotion goodness...and a celebration at night surrounded by these magnolia trees with the remnants of the day swirling around us. Tiny5000
I have tried this twice now and both times my first thought was that it smelled so much like J.Lo's Deseo. For me the coconut and magnolia were really on top. It was very tropical, beachy and somewhat sweet. The first time I tried this it really projected but didn't last more than a few hours. The second time I probably had 3 sprays on which is more than I usually go for but then found it overpowering. I ended up with a headache and feeling queasy. I loved the smell but it was getting too much for me and I was worrying that other people were going to be thinking I'd taken a bath in it too. If it was giving me a headache I wondered whether it was having the same effect on them since we were enclosed and in close proximity. Still the way that I was feeling could have been coincidence and I can't say for sure it was the fragrance. I will give it another try and maybe just use two sprays again next time. As for the Lumina, I can't say I noticed anything but I don't think it's had a fair chance yet.
madamacabre
Tried Leilani w/ Lumina on last night and was very pleasantly surprised. I put a drop or two on my left wrist and first impression is a soapy sweet floral scent. As it dried it became softer, a bit more sweet/fruity and powdery. Definitely magnolia! I kept huffing my wrist b/c I was shocked that enjoyed it so much. I'm usually a foody/fruity kinda gal but this just hit the right notes for me. Idk maybe it was the lumina too but it just has a very satisfying effect on me. To be fair I did test MRF on the other wrist at the same time which, let me just say, WOW! but I will review that in the appropriate place. Lol I ended up wearing Leilani to a conference today b/c I liked it so much and felt it was an appropriate choice for said event. I put it on after showering at around 9:30. I was VERY excited to see if I got any hits but the lecture got cancelled. I ended up going to one of my favorite coffee haunts to do some writing instead. I got there scanned the small shop for possible targets, no young bucks to be found so I headed outside to sit in the sun. I did have a regular, whom I have never spoken with before, come over to me and strike up a lengthy conversation about writing. She was outside doing some landscaping and it was breezy so she may have been down wind of me. Not sure if it was a hit but it was out of the ordinary. I notice this scent fades rather quickly on me. By 2 pm it was VERY faint but still detectable if close. I like it even upon first application b/c I smell it on me but it's pleasant and not overpowering which most perfumes, especially florals, are to me. Its just so well balanced and bright. It makes me feel good. Thus may end up being a FB!
livinlavidacabo
I've never been into sprays as I use oils living in a warm climate however, I think my next order will be in spray.
reincarnated
I had the image of a woman on a balmy summer day, wearing an ivory-colored curve hugging summer dress, with single large gardenia blossom tucked behind her ear. I like it as a scent, it just doesn't fit the weather right now... I can see wearing more of it as spring will follow winter.
IndieAna
I'm finding Leilani to be a very creamy white floral fragrance. The papaya adds a little tang, but I certainly don't find the blend to be fruity. After wear, I get a soapy scent. But, it's a luxe, elegant and beautifully feminine soapy scent. Potion Master
This one has been sold out for a while but I just made a few bottles more and put it back into the cart, 12 bottles available. belle-ville
How did I never post on this? I love it. It's so soft but creamy and perfectly balanced! And lumina too? Selfies! Blanche
I love the idea of this tropical scent, however something goes plasticky on me. I think it is the coconut
Ivysaur
Creamy, fruity, floral. I already know I'm a magnolia note aficionado, so nothing can go wrong with that lol I don't think I could ask for a better delectable feminine scent. Leilani treats me to a serene solitudinous experience of some island. It's not loud with either floral or fruit. I have an entire beach to myself with one other person. Very balanced. I also normally experience coconut-fatigue because I use coconut oil in most of my cooking and it's in a lot of sunscreen and hair products, but I don't smell a connection between coconut and coconut cream in Leilani. I'm going to run out of my trial very soon Edited March 25, 2017 by Ivysaur
greenappletart
I don't get much of the fruit, on me this is all magnolia. I think the fruit hovers in the background, just a touch to round it out a little, but the magnolia is absolutely the star of the show. Something about it reminds me of a perfume my mother sometimes wore when I was young, so it brings back wonderful scent memories and makes me feel safe and loved, while remembering how almost impossibly grown up she seemed. It's lovely and has such a simple elegance. I think it pairs well with the Lumina, which gives an air of quiet confidence.

Why do I only realize how much I love these once they're gone!? *sobs* This is just beautiful. I agree it's not really tropical. I would say it smells clean and pleasant. It's very delicate.
